Before the Budget: Let’s Talk Financial Freedom
2026/02/02
Send us a text
Before we pull out spreadsheets and start talking budgets, we need to have this conversation first.
In this episode, we’re chatting about why money matters, what financial freedom really looks like, and how getting clear with your finances can bring more peace (and way less stress) into your home. This is the mindset episode — the one that sets you up to feel confident and ready before we get practical next week.
If money feels heavy or overwhelming, you’re not alone. This episode is here to help you breathe, reflect, and take your first step toward financial freedom.
📝 Reflection Questions
What do I want my money to support right now? What causes me the most stress financially? What would feel freeing if money wasn’t such a mental burden? What am I hoping finances could make possible in this season?Who could I invite into this journey?Who would encourage me instead of judge me?Who could help me stay accountable? If this episode encouraged you, make sure to follow the podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next — Micah joins me in the next episode and we’re getting very practical with budgeting.
You can also find me over on Instagram and Facebook, where I share encouragement, real-life mom rhythms, meal planning, and all the behind-the-scenes of our big family life.
Thanks so much for being here — and if you know a mom who needs a calmer, healthier money mindset, send this episode her way 💛
How My 2025 Bingo Card Really Went
2025/12/22
Send us a text
Every year between Boxing Day and New Year’s, I take a quiet afternoon to look back on the year behind me and gently look ahead to what’s next.
For years, I did this by setting goals across a few simple categories — faith, family, health, friendships, and personal growth. Nothing fancy or overwhelming… just intentional rhythms for the season of motherhood I was in.
Last year, I decided to try something new.
Instead of a traditional goal list, I created a 2025 Bingo Card — 25 simple, meaningful things I hoped to do, experience, or grow in throughout the year. Some were practical, some were fun, some were deeply personal… and one square mattered more than all the others.
In this episode, I’m walking you through my bingo card in real time — sharing what I accomplished, what surprised me (hello, starting a podcast), what didn’t happen, and what I’m carrying forward into the next year.
We’ll talk about:
• Simple, realistic goal-setting for busy moms
• Unexpected wins and missed squares (and why both matter)
• Health, faith, family, friendships, and creativity in real life
• Letting go of perfection and choosing grace instead
• Why reflection is just as important as planning
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by goal-setting or like New Year’s resolutions just aren’t for you anymore, this episode is a gentle reminder that growth can be slow, imperfect, and still incredibly meaningful.
I’ll be taking a short break while the kids are home for the holidays, and I’ll be back in January with some really fun and practical episodes to kick off the new year.
Thanks for being here — and for walking this season with me.

Send us a text
Christmas traditions can be magical… but they can also feel overwhelming when life is busy and expectations are high. In this episode, I’m sharing the traditions Micah and I grew up with, the ones we’ve carried into our home as parents of seven, and the ones we’ve gently let go of as the seasons of our family have changed.
From becoming a mom on Christmas morning, to the cozy rhythms we’ve added over the years — sugar cookies, Christmas puzzles, Playmobil nativity storytelling, and the chaos of seven stockings — this conversation is full of heart, nostalgia, and permission to create a Christmas that works for your family, not against it.
I’ll also share:
✨ Our favourite Christmas morning routines
✨ The traditions that bring our home the most joy
✨ The ones we’ve outgrown — guilt-free
✨ My morning Advent devotional rhythm
✨ And encouragement for moms who feel overwhelmed by December
Whether your holiday season feels magical, messy, or a mix of both, I hope this episode reminds you that you don’t have to do it all — you just get to do what matters.

Creating Rhythms That Make Family Life Run Smoothly
2025/10/20
Send us a text
In this episode, I’m sharing how building simple family rhythms can turn everyday chaos into calm. From my early days working in daycare to life now as a mom of seven, I’ve learned that rhythms don’t have to be perfect to be powerful—they just need to serve your family.
As you listen, take a few moments to reflect on these questions:
☕ What part of your day feels the most chaotic right now?
✨ What’s ONE rhythm you could add to bring more peace into that time?
🏡 Which season are you in—babies/toddlers, school-age, or teens—and what rhythms would serve you best right now?
💛 And most importantly, what’s one rhythm for YOU—not just your kids—that would help you thrive this week?
Let’s build rhythms that bring peace, purpose, and joy back into our homes.
Don't forget to rate, review, follow and share with your mom friends!

Building Family Values to Guide Your Home
2025/10/06
Send us a text
Every family has a culture. The real question is—are you shaping it with intention, or just letting it form on its own? In this episode, I’m sharing how Micah and I landed on the five values that guide our home and why they matter so much to us.
Our family values look like this:
Grace – we receive God’s grace and extend it to each otherFamily First – we’re a team, and we value connection at the supper tableGivers – generous with our time, money, talents, and resourcesHospitality – our door is always openFun – we make memories and live with a spirit of adventureI’ll walk you through how these values shape our daily choices and the atmosphere in our home. And at the end, I’ll share five reflection questions to help you think about your own family culture and how you want it to grow:
What kind of family culture do you want your kids to remember when they’re grown? What do you want your kids to say about your home now?Which values are already showing up in your family life? What’s one value you’d like to add to strengthen your family culture? What activities or commitments could you let go of to better live out your values? This episode will give you both encouragement and practical steps to create a family culture rooted in what matters most to you!
