Trying to Impress a Date Went HORRIBLY Wrong 😂 | Man Like You Ep. 54
2026/10/19
Ever tried to impress someone you fancied and ended up wishing you’d stayed home? Mo Gilligan, Eddie Kadi and Babatunde Aléshé confess their biggest dating disasters — from bringing a date to a comedy gig and bombing on stage, to a customised BMW causing embarrassment in the West End and a spontaneous trip to Spain that went wrong on night one. Plus, who’s REALLY on the biggest power trip? The boys take on bouncers, clipboard gatekeepers, ticket inspectors and the people deciding when your wedding table can finally eat. There’s also an honest chat about getting older, the struggle of finding something to watch before your food goes cold, and Baba’s case for talking to yourself in the car. What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done to impress a date? Tell us in the comments 👇 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Who Has It Harder in 2026: Men or Women? | Man Like You EP 53
2026/10/12
Who has it harder in 2026: men or women? And when it comes to dating, is “he’s got potential” actually enough? Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi get into women’s everyday safety concerns, the pressure on men to provide, and what ambition really looks like when you’re still figuring life out. Then the public etiquette complaints come flying: loud FaceTime calls, people standing WAY too close, sweaty gym equipment and BMW drivers who think they own the road. Plus, the boys revisit the childhood toys that made them feel rich—and explain why Costco is now their adult toy shop 😂 Get involved in the comments: who do YOU think has it harder, and why? And what’s the one public habit you wish people would stop? Send this episode to someone you need to have this conversation with, and subscribe for more Man Like You. Hosted on Acast. Things Our Parents Said That Made NO Sense! 😂 | David Ajao | Man Like You
2026/10/05
“Stop crying before I give you something to cry about.” But… I’m already crying! 😂Actor, writer and producer David Ajao joins Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe to unpack the things our parents said that made absolutely no sense—and the advice we only understood once we grew up.From Nigerian childhood punishments to Baba having to pay to get his own shoe back at his wedding, the stories keep coming. Mo gets roasted for thinking quiche was posh, Arsenal memories turn into a passionate rant, and the boys debate whether using an umbrella can really give someone the ick.David also shares how he helps Mo and Baba write comedy that sounds like them—and why one word can make all the difference to a joke. What saying did you ALWAYS hear growing up? And what’s the most ridiculous ick you’ve come across? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Ep 51 - Tez Ilyas Picks Kurt Angle… and the Boys Aren’t Having It
2026/09/28
Tez Ilyas brings his top five sportspeople to Man Like You… and the room is not ready for Kurt Angle. 😂 Blackburn’s own joins Mo Gilligan, Eddie Kadi and Babatunde Aléshé to talk working at the Home Office, an auntie who only wanted immigration favours, and the comedy gig where he’d rather have been heckled. Then it’s into the things adulthood promised but never delivered, a South Asian food ranking that needs defending, and the fashion brands the boys want back. Add an outrageous shoe roast and Mo asking Tez to “name the breads”, and nobody’s getting through this one quietly. Does Kurt Angle deserve a place in a top five? Which old-school fashion brand needs a comeback? Get involved in the comments. Subscribe for more Man Like You, and send this episode to the friend whose opinions always start an argument. Ep 50 - If Men Were REALLY Honest on First Dates 😂
2026/09/21
Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi are back around the table for Episode 50 — and somehow a simple conversation turns into a full-scale attack on airlines, dating, holidays and the little things people do that drive us MAD. 😂 Mo has finally had enough of airport behaviour — from people crowding the baggage carousel to “speedy boarding” that isn’t speedy at all — while the boys ask what they’d abolish if they had unlimited power for 24 hours. Then things get dangerously honest: what would first dates actually sound like if men told the COMPLETE truth? 😂 Budgets are being calculated, starters are being cancelled and somebody needs to make sure the date finishes before Uber prices kick in. Plus, the boys debate overrated holiday destinations, dream trips to Japan, Rio, Cuba, Congo and Nigeria, and start cooking up an idea that genuinely needs to happen… a Man Like You travel show. 👀🌍 Hosted on Acast. The Man Like You boys are taking the podcast out of the studio and onto the stage for a very special night in Barry, Wales! 🏴 Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi come together for a one-off fundraiser in support of Cadoxton Workmen’s Club — bringing a packed room together for an unforgettable night of comedy & community. And as if the line-up wasn’t already big enough, Kane Brown jumps on stage to join the madness. 😂 This one feels different. It’s Man Like You live, loose and completely unpredictable — all while supporting a venue and community that means a lot to the people of Barry. 🔥 Watch the full Barry Special now. Ep 48 - We Took The Podcast On The Road 🚗
2026/09/07
The Man Like You boys are OUT of the studio and ON THE ROAD! 🚐💨 Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi take the podcast on a road trip to Wales — and somehow a simple journey turns into arguments about secret group chats, surviving the apocalypse, terrible purchases and some surprisingly deep conversations about regret. What happens when your bredrin of 15 YEARS gets engaged and you find out on Instagram? What five things are you taking if the world ends? Why did Mo buy a load of Charizard cards he’s now too scared to get authenticated? 😂 And would Mo’s entire career have turned out differently if he’d gone to the BRIT School? From breaking into police stations during the apocalypse to Supreme ski goggles, fake CDs, missed opportunities and the choices that shape your life, this might be one of the most unpredictable Man Like You conversations yet. And all of it happens while the boys are actually travelling to Wales for a show. Welcome to Man Like You: ON THE ROAD. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Ep 47 - Nearly 1 Year of Absolute CHAOS 😂
2026/08/31
Nearly a year of Man Like You… and somehow things have only got more unhinged. 😂 Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi look back at some of the funniest, wildest and most unforgettable moments from the podcast so far — including the jokes that went completely off the rails, the innocent comments that turned into all-time roasts and the moments you lot absolutely cooked us for in the comments. From Mo desperately wanting Eddie’s Congolese dance moves, the legendary Vaseline debate, Eddie admitting he just loves riding his bike, Guvna B fighting for his life trying to say “acronym”, Mo confidently inventing a new meaning for “parallelogram”, Remi Burgz discovering how you actually pronounce “debris”… and, somehow, the boys ending up singing Spice Girls together. 😭 But amongst all the madness, the boys also reflect on what the podcast has become — the conversations about friendship, faith and life, the incredible reaction from everyone watching around the world, and why simply being themselves has connected with so many people. What’s YOUR favourite Man Like You moment so far? 👇 Drop it in the comments — we genuinely want to know. 👍 Like 💬 Comment 📲 Share 🔔 Subscribe for more Man Like You Hosted on Acast. Ep 46 - No Clothes, No Sat Nav, No Way
2026/08/24
This week on Man Like You, Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi are back with another conversation that somehow goes from professional fighters and getting punched in the face… to Velcro, missing underwear, robot Hoovers and why Baba absolutely hates hypothetical questions. The boys ask what everyday thing could disappear tomorrow and completely break society? Sat nav? Contactless payments? Fridges? Dogs?! What starts as a simple question quickly descends into classic Man Like You chaos — including the terrifying prospect of a world without clothes. But amongst the madness, things get deeper as the boys ask: what actually makes a man respected? Is it money and status, or is real respect built through leadership, consistency, boundaries, vulnerability and simply being someone people can rely on? They also unpack why showing emotion can still be difficult for men — particularly Black men — and why vulnerability can sometimes command more respect than trying to appear tough. There’s also a brilliantly relatable conversation about fatherhood and making the effort even when you’re exhausted — from playing I Spy for the hundredth time to realising that sometimes your child doesn’t want another toy, they just want your attention and participation. And finally: what do you do when someone remembers you… but you have absolutely no idea who they are? The boys share their tactics, disasters and painfully awkward moments forgetting names — including being expected to remember someone they last met 16 years ago. Funny, honest, thoughtful and completely off the rails in places — basically, another episode of Man Like You. Like, subscribe and get involved in the comments: what makes you respect someone, and what’s one random everyday thing you genuinely couldn’t live without? Hosted on Acast. Ep 45 - I Would Never Do It Again
2026/08/17
This week on Man Like You, Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi are back around the table — and this one goes from deep to completely ridiculous in record time. Fresh from the release of his Netflix documentary, Mo opens up about what the experience really did to him behind the scenes — from eating fried chicken every day to the loneliness, emotional breakdowns and moments that pushed him into some seriously dark places. The boys talk vulnerability, showing a different side of yourself to the world, and what happens when a project changes you more than you expected. Then the conversation turns to where it all began. Why did they choose comedy? What made them take the risk and bet on themselves? And after years in the game, what is it about performing that still gives them a feeling they can’t find anywhere else? They also get into male friendship as you get older — whether grown men can still have a “best friend”, the different roles your closest boys play in your life, making new friends in your 40s, and the people who become more like brothers than mates. And because it’s Man Like You, somehow all of that sits alongside Baba’s now-infamous neck, getting older, dodgy knees, godfathers, first-date restaurants, Wagamama memories and an alarming amount of detail about Mo’s digestive system. Funny, vulnerable and very, very honest — this is the boys at their best. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Ep 44 - Why Being a Kid in the 90s Was ELITE 😂
2026/08/10
What did we love most about being kids — and what do we wish someone had taught us before we grew up? This week on Man Like You, Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi are taking it all the way back. From six-week summer holidays, sleepovers and birthday money mysteriously disappearing into Mum’s pocket, to IKEA feeling like a genuine day out, old-school minicabs, skinny jeans and the forgotten TV shows that defined a generation. We also ask: What are the important conversations every father should have with his son? Money, heartbreak, failure, looking after yourself, confidence and preparing your children for a world they don’t fully understand yet — the boys share the lessons they had to learn the hard way and the ones they hope to pass on. And, naturally, it all ends with a battle over forgotten ’90s and 2000s television that gets VERY competitive. Another Episode not to be missed! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Ep 43 - Grown Men Arguing About Mickey Mouse 😂
2026/08/03
Babatunde is BACK! Baba opens up about returning to theatre, battling self-doubt during rehearsals and why stepping outside your comfort zone might be the best thing you can do. The boys also dive into integrity, knowing when to speak up, protecting your reputation and the difficult moments where standing up for yourself isn’t always easy. Of course, it wouldn’t be Man Like You without complete chaos. From legendary TV and movie characters to Danny Dyer impressions, Disney nostalgia, Denzel in Training Day, Tom & Jerry, Sesame Street and why grown men still lose their minds when they see Mickey Mouse, this episode goes everywhere. Thoughtful, hilarious and packed with unforgettable moments. 🎭 Baba returns to acting after 17 years 🎙️ The importance of integrity and protecting your peace 😂 Danny Dyer impressions that completely derail the episode 🎬 The greatest TV and movie characters of all time 🏰 Why Disneyland turns every adult back into a child 🤣 Pure Man Like You chaos from start to finish. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Ep 42 - Snoochie Shy Had A Cockroach WHERE!? 😭
2026/07/27
Snoochie Shy joins the boys for this episode of Man Like You. From behind-the-scenes stories at BBC Radio 1Xtra to surviving I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Snoochie opens up about battling shyness, finding confidence, interviewing some of the biggest names in music, and why therapy completely changed her life. The conversation quickly descends into chaos as Eddie, Mo and Snoochie relive jungle horror stories, debate the greatest DJ reloads ever, argue over South London, Black British culture, rave etiquette, terrible chat-up lines, flying fears, and the universal language of “Are you dumb?!” Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Ep 41 - Best Dancefloor Fillers with Remi Burgz
2026/07/20
Remi Burgz joins Man Like You and delivers one of the funniest conversations we’ve had yet. From revealing she nearly became a politician before finding her calling on BBC Radio 1Xtra, to exposing the reality of live radio, embarrassing on-air mistakes, and what really happens behind the mic. The conversation quickly spirals into a full-blown debate about the greatest dancefloor fillers of all time, British culture, roast dinners, fish & chips, queuing, and the songs that instantly get everybody moving. Along the way, Mo, Eddie and Remi share unforgettable stories from radio, nightlife and growing up in London. If you’ve ever argued over the best party anthem, embarrassed yourself in public, or wondered what life behind the scenes at BBC Radio is really like, this episode is for you. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Ep 40 - We Didn't Think We Could Put This Out 🤣
2026/07/13
With Babatunde away, Mo Gilligan and Eddie Kadi take the mic for a hilarious two-hander packed with laughs, nostalgia and honest conversations. The boys dive into the realities of friendship, life behind the scenes in comedy, school status symbols, trainers, group chats and marathon ambitions before one innocent conversation about maths equipment spirals into one of the funniest misunderstandings the podcast has ever seen. It’s the kind of moment you’ll be replaying over and over again. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
