Time to Reevaluate?
2026/10/21
Feeling stuck with your fitness goals? You're not alone. Maybe you just started working out and the scale hasn't moved much, even though you're building better habits. Or maybe you've been training consistently for a while and your progress has started to slow down. And what happens when you've actually reached the goal you were working toward? Do you maintain where you're at or find something new to work toward? In this episode of the Rise Personal Training Podcast, we're talking about how to recognize progress beyond the scale, work through plateaus, and know when it's time to reevaluate your goals. Sometimes you need to make adjustments to your training or nutrition, and other times you just need to give yourself more time.
The Point of Variations
2026/10/14
Why do we switch up exercises in your workouts? Exercise variations aren't just about making a movement easier or harder. Changing your stance, position, or equipment can help target different areas of a muscle, challenge your core in new ways, and keep your workouts interesting. In this episode, we break down why we use different exercise variations and how they help you continue building strength, improving stability, and getting the most out of your training.
Are Crash Diets the Answer?
2026/10/07
Crash diets might give you a lower number on the scale, but that doesn’t always mean better results. In this episode, we’re talking about what can happen when you take dieting too far. Extreme calorie restriction can make it harder to fuel your workouts and maintain muscle, which can leave you with InBody results that don’t look the way you expected. Losing weight and improving your body composition aren’t always the same thing. If you want results that actually last, the goal shouldn’t be to eat as little as possible. It should be finding an approach you can maintain while continuing to train, build or maintain muscle, and feel good doing it.
Is Your Form Causing Injury?
2026/10/06
Sometimes what feels like an injury may actually be coming from the way you’re moving. In this episode, we’re talking about why form matters and how one small issue can affect everything up the chain. From your feet and ankles to your knees, back, and shoulders, the way your body is positioned can make a big difference. We also break down some of the common coaching cues you’ll hear us use at Rise and why those little corrections matter. Before you assume a movement just “isn’t for you,” it may be worth taking a closer look at your form.
More Than Just Calories
2026/09/23
It’s not just about how many calories you’re eating. The quality of those calories matters too. In this episode, we’re talking about quality vs. quantity when it comes to nutrition. Are you eating enough? Are you getting enough protein and nutrients? And even if you’re choosing healthy foods, could you still be eating more than your body needs? Instead of trying to make your diet perfect overnight, we break down what to focus on first and how to build better habits from there. The goal isn’t to eat less. It’s to understand what you’re eating and make those calories work for you.
50 Episodes In: Have You Stuck With It?
2026/09/16
For our 50th episode, we’re checking back in on something we’ve talked about since the beginning: realistic expectations and staying consistent. Have you stuck with the goals you set for yourself? Have those goals changed? And if motivation has dropped off, how do you find it again? We’re talking about continuing to show up, setting new goals when you need them, and remembering that progress doesn’t have to be perfect to count. Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been training for years, there’s always something new to work toward.
The Unfortunate Reality
2026/09/09
The unfortunate reality of strength training? The stronger and fitter you get, the harder your workouts need to become. Getting yourself to the gym might get easier as training becomes part of your routine, but the workouts themselves don’t necessarily get easier. As your fitness improves, progressive overload means continuing to challenge yourself with more weight, more reps, better control, or harder variations. That challenge is what keeps you progressing. In this episode we break down why training gets harder as you get better and why that’s actually a good thing.
Social Media Trends: What to Know
2026/09/02
Social media is full of fitness and wellness trends, but are they actually worth trying? In this episode, we break down some of the popular trends we’re seeing right now, where they might be beneficial, and what you should consider before jumping in. Some trends can be useful. Others might not be the right fit for you. The key is understanding the why behind what you’re doing. Tune in to hear our coaches break it down and help you decide what’s actually worth adding to your routine.
Importance of Sleep
2026/08/26
Sleep affects more than just how tired you feel. 😴 In this episode of the Rise Personal Training Podcast, we’re talking about how to wind down at night, improve your sleep quality, and build better habits around your bedtime routine. Better sleep can mean better energy, better workouts, better recovery, and a better day overall.
Alcohol Vs. Your Fitness Goals
2026/08/19
Alcohol and fitness goals don’t always work well together. In this episode, we talk about how alcohol can affect your training, recovery, progress, and why it may be holding you back more than you realize. It’s not about never having a drink again. It’s about balance, knowing your goals, and making choices that still allow you to enjoy life while making progress.
What Influences Your Metabolism
2026/08/12
Metabolism isn’t just about “burning calories.” It’s influenced by age, body composition, hormones, lifestyle, activity levels, and more. In this episode, we break down how metabolism changes as we age, differences between men and women, how body types can play a role, and what you can actually do to support a healthier metabolism.
