A Prayer from St. Francis of Assisi
2026/10/01
St. Francis of Assisi (1181/1182–1226) was an Italian Catholic saint who gave up a life of wealth to follow Jesus Christ through poverty, humility, prayer, and service to others. He founded the Franciscan Order and became known for his deep love of God, compassion for the poor, and respect for all of God's creation, especially animals and nature. St. Francis is traditionally associated with the beloved Prayer of St. Francis, which asks God to make us instruments of His peace, bringing love where there is hatred, hope where there is despair, and light where there is darkness. Although the prayer was written centuries after his death, it beautifully reflects his spiritual teachings. His feast day is celebrated on October 4, and his life continues to inspire Christians worldwide to live with faith, simplicity, kindness, and peace.

With a Father's Heart (Patris Corde) A Prayer to St. Joseph
2026/09/23
With a Father’s Heart, A Prayer to St. Joseph is a prayer of trust, gratitude, and devotion to the foster father of Jesus and the faithful husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Inspired by St. Joseph’s quiet strength, humility, obedience, and unwavering faith in God, this prayer invites us to seek his intercession as a spiritual father, protector, and guide. Joseph did not seek recognition or attention; instead, he responded faithfully to God’s call, lovingly cared for Mary and Jesus, worked diligently to provide for the Holy Family, and trusted God even when the path before him was uncertain. As we pray, we ask St. Joseph to help us develop a father’s heart, one that loves generously, serves humbly, protects faithfully, works with dignity, and places complete trust in God. May St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, watch over our families, strengthen fathers, protect those entrusted to our care, comfort those facing difficulties, and lead each of us closer to Jesus. St. Joseph, pray for us.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy
2026/08/30
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a powerful Catholic prayer centered on trusting in the mercy and love of Jesus Christ. It is traditionally prayed using a Rosary, although it can also be prayed without beads. The prayer asks God to have mercy on us and on the whole world, especially sinners and those who are suffering. It offers the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus to the Father in prayer and repeatedly places our trust in God's mercy. The Chaplet was given to St. Faustina Kowalska through her reported encounters with Jesus, who encouraged her to spread devotion to Divine Mercy. A particularly traditional time to pray the Chaplet is 3:00 p.m., known as the Hour of Great Mercy, commemorating the hour of Jesus' death. However, it may be prayed at any time.
