Advertise on podcast: The (X) Hamster Files

Ioan & I started and ended season one together - and what a journey it has been! Surprise deaths, Scully has her eyes well and truly opened, and Mulder finally realises he can trust no one...

Where do they find all these creepy kids from and just how different can they make this evil moppet from the last ones? A dead detective seeks revenge, and it's in the shape of sweetness and light...

Black humour, family drama, a ridiculous premise and a study of disability...much to talk about here in JD Collins' first but certainly not last (X) Hamster Files assignment!

The X-Files first returning mutant, and the most memorable. Is Mulder the villain in this story? What happens when Scully brings Mulder a picnic to his stakeout? And who is this handsome Assistant Director?

Ioan & I head into the dark and mysterious woods to face a glowing and web spinning horror. Joe is delighted, but Ioan wonders if the memory cheats...

The evidence is stacking up...wolf footsprints, matted wolf fur and shedded human skin...it must be the mountain lion! Agent Iain Martin and I investigate wolfy occurences...

What will Frazer think about this unusual X-File that both critiques and celebrates religious fundamentalism?

In the middle part of the season, which has been a little arid in terms of quality, Iain and I are pleased to find an absolute classic in the form of a study of paranoia and finally bring Deep Throat out into the light...

You know what this very pedestrian detective drama of revenge and second chances needs...a Salamander hand! Thus says Chris Carter, leaving Frazer unsure about his ability to understand his own show...

An X-File from the early 90s with a mission to tell a story about sexual politics, body transformation and healing powers. What could possibly go wrong?

It's a Shippers world! Doctor Who author Mags L Halliday joins me of the X-Files journey to talk about one of the most popular episodes of all time - and the seminal breaking out episode for Scully...

'Some clever blokes been giving the aristocracy a scare!' Does Amanda Pays play the most British person to ever appear in an American show? Is Scully jealous of Phoebe? What about Mulder's never heard of again fear of fire?

The best episode to date...or at least the best mystery to date? Ioan & I investigate the mucky world of cloning and what happens when it goes very, very wrong...

A most atypical X-File this week as we are thrown straight into the (Scullyless) action! Iain & Joe come this close to seeing a real UFO and then learn that all is not as it seems with Deep Throat...

The worst X-Files episode of all time? I draft in the self confessed 'champion of the damned' agent Frazer Gregory to discuss the many strengths of this episode...
