Blog Reading|Leah|The Transfiguration and Our Reason to Hope
2026/09/26
On this weeks blog reading, Leah writes about her new parish name- The Transfiguration. She talks about the theological virtue of hope that the disciples would have received to sustain them while they watched our Lord suffer during the agony in the garden.

Monthly Chit-Chat|Hannah, Abby, Angela|Make Friendships Friendships Again
2026/09/23
Sisters Hannah and Abby are joined by their sister Angela for a very real conversation about friendship, vulnerability, and figuring out who actually gets access to your heart.
They talk about different seasons of life, building community, letting people show up for you, and why friendship does not have to be fancy.
Sometimes it is deep heart talks. Sometimes it is hot mess playdates. Sometimes it is just, “Come over. The house is a mess. We’re having chicken patties.”

Blog Reading|Hannah|You are Not on Your Own, Kid
2026/09/20
This summer, Hannah somehow convinced herself there was not a single person in Central Minnesota with a pickup truck who could help her.
Which is, frankly, ridiculous!
What started as a county fair problem turned into a much bigger conversation with the Lord about self-reliance and the beauty of community.

Blog Reading|Abby|Peacemaking: Embracing Confrontation Out of Love
2026/09/13
Abby shares a story that has been weighing on her heart since this summer. She chose to keep the peace with a complete stranger rather than make peace for her child.
However, sometimes the Lord uses unlikely sources, even a simple social media post, to pave the way for deeper understanding! A simple Facebook post illuminated the difference between being a peacekeeper and a peacemaker.
We are called to follow the example of Jesus: ruffle a few feathers, embrace confrontation, and become peacemakers!

Blog Reading|Leah|The 5 Senses and the Catholic Faith:
2026/09/05
This week, Leah finishes off the series on the 5 senses with touch. But she takes a unique twist, focusing on the body.
She shares the story of her son off at a military academy, and how he is disciplining his body to discipline his mind, and how that closely relates to our faith.

Blog Reading|Abby|The 5 Senses of the Catholic Faith:Smell and the Sealing of Our Gifts
2026/08/30
We continue our series on The 5 Senses of the Catholic Faith with smell!
In this week's blog reading, Abby makes some unexpected connections between the necessary assortment of clothes needed to survive life in the Midwest, the charisms and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and two of the most recognizable smells found in the Catholic faith: incense and Sacred Chrism.
Just as there is a season for every sweater in the closet, there is a time and season for the unique gifts the Holy Spirit has given each of us.

Monthly Chit-Chat | Hannah, Kristin | What the Heck is a Charism?
2026/08/26
You've probably heard people talk about spiritual gifts, but what exactly is a charism, and how do you know which ones God has given you?
Hannah is joined by her sister Kristin Molitor to break down charisms in a practical, everyday way. They talk about what charisms are, how they are different from natural talents and Clifton Strengths, how to discern them, and why understanding your gifts can change the way you see your role in your family, work, parish, and community.
And the beautiful part: your charisms are meant to be life giving. When you’re operating in the gifts God has given you, there can be a sense of joy, energy, and fruitfulness, even when the work itself is hard. And sometimes your charism might explain why you are the only person in the room wondering why nobody else has noticed the coolers
need to be refilled.
Along the way, they use the Molitor sisters as real life examples, from hospitality and administration to music, writing, service, leadership, and more. Kristin also helps Hannah unpack some of the charisms showing up in her own life and why the gifts that seem completely obvious to you might actually be something pretty unique.
Your gifts are more than just interesting things to learn about yourself. They are gifts from the Holy Spirit, meant to be used, shared, and given away for the good of others. Tune in and discover how recognizing your charisms can help you better understand the unique ways God has gifted you to serve.

Blog Reading|Leah|The 5 Senses and the Catholic Faith: Sight and the Light that Shines in the Dark
2026/08/22
This week, Leah reads her blog post from the 5 Senses series on the sense of sight.
She takes us back to John's Gospel and focuses on Jesus, the Light of the World.
Dear Lord, I thank you for the gift of my sight. This incredible sense brings me so much joy.
Help me to close my eyes to anything that is disordered or unhealthy. Let me use my sight to grow closer to You by praying with Sacred Art, gazing at the Blessed Sacrament, and looking for You in everything.
"Seek, and you shall find." Help me to seek You in all things, so that I can rest in Your Light and overcome the darkness of my life. Amen.

Blog Reading|Abby|The 5 Senses of the Catholic Faith: Sound and the Volume of Praise
2026/08/16
In this week’s blog, Abby shares a story about how putting her guitar down to hold a crying baby led to a beautiful moment of praise, as the youth in the congregation joined her in singing and lifted their voices loudly!
In contrast, she shares another story of having to silently praise during the Gloria at Mass due to a tired singing voice.
Either way, praise is an essential element of our faith, and it is up to us to determine the volume!

2026/08/13
We kick off a brand new series on the 5 senses this week, leading off with the sense of taste.
Join Leah as she talks about the reactions of the young 2nd graders during First Communion practice, then talks about the mystery of receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, and the irony in the humble form of the True Presence.

Blog Reading|Abby|Healing My Voice, Renewing my Identity
2026/08/02
John 10:10 says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."
In this week's blog reading Abby shares a powerful story of when the Lord physically healed her vocal polyps.
Since then she noticed some of the greatest spiritual warfare in her life has taken place in her inner voice and the way she speaks about myself.
The enemy wants to steal our confidence, kill our interior freedom, and destroy our ability to see ourselves as God sees us. But Jesus came so that we may have life, and have it to the full!
If you've ever struggled with insecurity, comparison, or believing the lies whispered to your heart, we hope this story reminds you of the truth: you were created in the image and likeness of God, and He delights in who He made you to be.

Blog Reading|Leah|Eucharistic Adoration: A Mother's Answered Prayer and Tips for a Holy Hour
2026/07/23
What do you do when you're alone in Eucharistic Adoration with a preschooler who suddenly needs the bathroom—and you know you can't leave Jesus unattended?
In this episode, I share the true story of a quiet Tuesday afternoon at our little country Oratory when I found myself in an impossible situation. Just as I prayed, "Jesus, help me," an unexpected visitor walked through the church doors at the perfect moment. Was it simply God's providence...or something more?
After sharing this memorable experience, I answer some of the most common questions about Eucharistic Adoration. We'll talk about the simple "rules" of a Holy Hour, what to wear, what to bring, and practical ideas for spending meaningful time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Whether you've been making Holy Hours for years or have been curious about trying Adoration for the first time, this episode offers encouragement, practical tips, and a reminder that God is always faithful to meet us when we come to Him.

Blog Reading|Leah|Eucharistic Adoration, Responding to Jesus' Invitation to Keep Watch with Him
2026/07/17
In this episode of Catholic Country Chronicles, Leah reads her latest blog post, "Eucharistic Adoration: Responding to Jesus' Invitation to Keep Watch with Him."
After an unexpected nudge during Mass—and a parish bulletin announcement that felt like God speaking in neon lights—Leah found herself returning to a weekly Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament. In this personal reflection, she shares why Eucharistic Adoration has been such a source of peace and grace throughout her life, why committing to a Holy Hour can transform your relationship with Jesus, and how Christ continues to invite each of us to "keep watch" with Him.
Whether you're new to Eucharistic Adoration or have spent years before the Blessed Sacrament, this episode is an invitation to slow down, rest in Christ's presence, and consider how He may be calling you to spend more time with Him.
If this reflection encourages you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who could use the reminder that Jesus is always waiting for them in the Eucharist.
Until next time, your sister in Christ,
Leah
