The Future of Humanitarian and Development Aid Is Local
2026/01/13
As humanitarian and development challenges grow more complex, local organisations and communities are taking on a decisive role in shaping how assistance is designed and delivered. Moving beyond traditional models, localisation places leadership, resources and decision-making closer to those who understand the context best. This shift not only strengthens accountability and relevance, it also lays the groundwork for more resilient, dignified and sustainable responses.  Moderator:  Charlotte Lang  Panel:  Voices from the field:  Articles :  Christopher Scala   Podcast produced by LaKriée Media

By working directly with migrant youth and local actors, Terre des hommes is advancing a localisation approach that places lived experience, leadership and decision-making closer to those concerned.
