Bonjour! Jocelyn is Back from France!
2026/10/20
It's time to Uber to the Eiffel Tower! Jocelyn tells us about her trip to France to present at a Prosthetist-Orthotist conference, complete with speech timer drama, lots of pastries, Paris traffic (that was totally worth it!) and besting all the men at the gala dinner. Jocelyn shares her thoughts on Kona (which she sneakily followed from a Hawaiian-themed wedding) and Haley gets a shout-out from Gen Z and considers a spring race.
Post Kona Party with Nicole Falcaro
2026/10/13
Haley flew across the U.S. to (Kona) party with Professional Triathlete Nicole Falcaro! Nicole throws an annual Kona party in Portsmouth, New Hampshire complete with Hawaian themed food, drinks, decor, and great company! Haley and Nicole recap the party and the race, and talk about Nicole's recovery and upcoming return to racing after hip labral repair surgery earlier this year.
It's Kona Race Week! with Jocelyn Wong Neill
2026/10/06
It's Kona Race week and Jocelyn is back to share her race day predictions (Kristian isn't tired! Four Ironmans isn't that many Ironmans! Kona isn't even that hot!) We're ready for an electric IRONMAN World Championships in Hawaii; thankful for a start time that works for almost every North American time zone (even if you're at a wedding!), the "quad screen" and never knowing what Madam Pele might have in store! If you can't be in Kona, this show is clearly, the next best thing!
Berlin Marathon Recap (Live from the Pool with Hannah Kait!)
2026/09/29
Live from their post-race shake out swim in the hotel pool, Haley and Hannah Kait Chura recap the Berlin Marathon. Hannah tells us how to win the Berlin entry lottery (and what to do if you don't) and she recaps the expo, race logistics, and her own race. Haley tells us about her third race in three weeks (with ended with a very fitting 3:03 marathon time!) Podcasting from the pool is probably excessively chaotic but so is life, so thanks for listening!
Haley WINS the Yellowstone Gateway 30k!
2026/09/22
Haley won a trail race! Haley tells Jocelyn about her race at the Yellowstone Gateway 30k; 10 miles up, 8 miles down, and a narrow victory in Paradise Valley, Montana. Jocelyn shares a recent shopping trip (hint: it's not a bike!), a Kindergarten bus update, and her thoughts on the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships.
Bozeman 10k Race Recap with Vanessa Foerster
2026/09/15
Vanessa Foerster returns to the show IN-PERSON! Haley and Vanessa recap their races (and post-races) at the Bozeman 10k, stay up way too late watching the IRONMAN 70.3 World Champs in Nice, catch up on life post Lake Placid (Vanessa's PRO IRONMAN debut) and talk about what's next (more racing for Haley -- what retirement?!?)
Erin Trail reveals "Trail Dispatch" and more gear reviews
2026/09/08
Erin Trail, our favorite "gear and beer" reviewer returns to the show to share she now has her own gear review site! Follow Trail Dispatch on Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, and coming soon on TrailDispatch.com. Erin also shares her recent thoughts on Salomon's new super shoe, two different running vests, and trail shoes at VERY different price points.
TV Chefs & Olympic Champs; They're Just Like Us! [with Jocelyn, of course!]
2026/09/01
Haley and Jocelyn welcome Ina Garten to the Happy Hour family! Haley is PSYCHED to share a podcast name with Ina (cooking skills still a work in progress!), Jocelyn is officially a Kindergarten mom (with 30 mins extra every morning!) and Haley makes some race announcements inspired in a (very small) way by Olympic & Ironman World Champ, Jan Frodeno (men can be inspirational, too!)
Jocelyn CRUSHED Age Group Nationals!
2026/08/18
Jocelyn Wong Neill joins the show to talk about racing not once, not twice, but THREE times at USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals in Milwaukee. Jocelyn tells Haley how the heartbreak of having her race canceled last year inspired her to go for three finishes this year, trying new race formats (draft legal! mixed team relay!), meeting old friends, and reigniting her spark for the sport!
Vanessa Foerster is a {Professional!} IRONMAN!
2026/08/04
Vanessa Foerster returns to the show to recap their Professional IRONMAN debut at IRONMAN Lake Placid. Basking in the "two week post Ironman" glow, Vanessa gives Haley the swim-bike-run recap of what's it's like to start a PRO race, the very literal ups and downs of a bike course with 7k+ feet of climbing, and what if felt like to cross that iconic finish line. Listen to relive the magic and maybe pick up some tips on how to get yourself on your own big start line!
Ironman Lake Placid & Boise 70.3 Recap with Jocelyn
2026/07/28
Jocelyn Wong Neill returns to the show to catch up with Haley and hear about her recent commentary and coaching adventures at Ironman Lake Placid & Ironman 70.3 Boise (with a birthday in between)! And for Jocelyn, the countdown is on for USAT Age Group Nationals in Milwaukee!
Ironman Lake Placid Preview with Brittaney Talbot & Vanessa Foerster
2026/07/14
It's Ironman Lake Placid week! Professional Triathletes Brittaney Talbot and Vanessa Foerster share their pre-race thoughts before they swim, bike, and run as fast as possible around Upstate New York! Brittaney & Vanessa talk about why they chose Placid, how they plan to tackle the course, and what they're most looking forward to on the day (hint: it's the finish!) This isn't their first Ironman, but it is their first PRO Ironman, so it's guaranteed to be a special day. Haley will be in Placid as a field reporter, so if you just can't get enough of this trio, tune in to Ironman's YouTube channel Sunday morning and be sure to throw a few cheers Brittaney and Vanessa's way!
Haley's 38k Bangtail Divide Trail Race Recap
2026/07/07
Haley recaps her second place finish at the Bangtail Divide 38k trail race, including all the bad advice she took (always wear neon!) good advice she didn't take (carrying too much water uphill!), and a shocking endurance sport first that happened at mile 18. We also do a quick Challenge Roth recap and Jocelyn tries to stay cool during the 4th of July East coast heatwave.
Mary Cain Book Review with Jocelyn & Jen
2026/06/30
It's the virtual book club of your dreams! Haley and Jocelyn are joined by Montana State University Professor, Age Group Triathlete, and Haley's swim bud, Jen Lachowiec, to discuss Mary Cain's book "This is Not About Running." The trio chat about Mary's memoir about her sometimes exciting, but ultimately devastating, experience as a high school running phenom. Jocelyn compares some of Mary's experiences with the Nike Oregon Project to her own time on the elite triathlon squad, Team TBB, and Jen shares her perspective as both an athlete and educator. Listen if you've read the book, or even if you haven't! Mary's message to protect athletes at all levels of sport is one we all need to hear.
Jocelyn's on another podium, Haley runs off course and spends $$$
2026/06/23
We do a non-alcholic cheers to Jocelyn Wong Neill for another sprint tri podium! The road to Nationals in Milwaukee continues, hopefully with a few more trip to the pool and post-swim treats. Haley finally gives up on her life plans to be low maintenance and chill and shares her new gear including a running vest, trail shoes, and maybe the spark of a desire to run fast again. It's a casual and chaotic catch-up episode, but you might end up with some book recommendations or feelings of nostalgia for your high school coach! Mary Cain book review next week (maybe!)
