I know I've had to talk fast recently to get everything in, but I slow down just a little bit as we prepare to leave Egypt with the Israelites. It's a solemn exit and full of grieving for all who did not heed the word of the LORD. God gives specific instructions for honoring the Passover, but there are certainly things left unsaid. In Exodus 7-9, we see a curious tension as we're told that God will harden Pharaoh's heart, but we're also told that Pharaoh hardens his own heart. Which is it? As usual, we'll look to the rest of God's Word to give us clarity... and even when it is hard to understand, we will trust that His ways are higher than ours.
