Thanksgiving Traditions: What Should Stay & What Needs to Go?
2026/09/28
Thanksgiving traditions are sacred… until Terri decides she’s done cooking the turkey. 😂
In this episode, we’re debating the Thanksgiving traditions worth keeping, changing, or retiring altogether. Tyerra is fighting for her beloved turkey, Terri would happily remove it from the menu, and we’re officially letting the audience settle the argument: Team Turkey or no turkey? Your vote may determine what gets served at our Thanksgiving dinner.
We also get into stuffing, football, the differences between Canadian and American Thanksgiving, the kids’ table, whether adult children should start contributing to dinner, and one slightly embarrassing confession: neither of us has ever tried pumpkin pie. Should we?
But beyond the food debates, we talk about why Thanksgiving is one of our favourite family holidays—the traditions, being together, and having an excuse to actually spend the whole day as a family. And now that Terri is entering her empty-nester era, apparently Thanksgiving is getting an upgrade. Pumpkin-carving contests, activities…the woman has plans.
🎙️ In This Episode:
Thanksgiving traditions: keep them or ditch them? The great Thanksgiving turkey debateCanadian vs. American Thanksgiving traditionsPumpkin pie: worth the hype?Kids’ tables & adult kids contributing to dinnerCreating new family traditions as your kids get olderWhy Thanksgiving might be our favourite family holidayMost importantly: settle this for us. 🦃 Should Terri cook the turkey this year—YES or NO?

Is Marriage Still Worth It? Why Younger Generations Are Waiting Longer
2026/09/21
Marriage used to feel like the obvious next step: meet someone, get married, buy a house, have kids, live happily ever after. But for younger generations, that timeline is looking a little more like… optional.
In this episode, we’re asking whether marriage is still worth it and why people are getting married later—or choosing not to marry at all. Terri thinks Tyerra’s generation might be too picky. Tyerra’s response? She’d rather be picky than settle for a marriage that makes her miserable. Fair enough. 😂
We debate whether previous generations stayed in unhappy marriages longer, whether getting married later means knowing yourself (and what you want) better, and if today’s dating culture has made finding “the one” harder. We also get into divorce, prenups, separate bank accounts, staying together for the kids, and what people actually gain from marriage in 2026.
Because maybe marriage isn’t outdated—maybe our standards for marriage have changed.
🎙️ In This Episode:
Why Millennials and Gen Z are waiting longer to get marriedAre younger generations too picky—or just refusing to settle? Is marriage still worth it?Did previous generations tolerate more in relationships?Divorce, prenups & separate bank accountsShould couples ever stay together for the kids? Are open marriages the future—or a hard no?Is marriage simply not for everyone?
So, are we giving up on marriage… or finally getting better at choosing who we marry? 💍

Brutal Honesty vs. Being Nice: Is It Ever Okay to Lie?
2026/09/14
Is honesty always the best policy—or are there times when a little white lie is actually the kinder option?
In this episode, we’re debating brutal honesty vs. being nice and quickly realize our morals are… situational. 😂 If your best friend is excited about her birthday outfit and you secretly hate it, do you really need to tell her? What if your friend is being cheated on? Easy—we’re telling. But what if your best friend is the one doing the cheating? Suddenly things get complicated.
We also get into whether family should comment on weight gain, whether ghosting is kinder than outright rejection, and where the line falls between honesty, kindness, loyalty, and lying. Because sometimes “I’m just being honest” is helpful—and sometimes it’s just an excuse to be mean.
🎙️ In This Episode:
Is brutal honesty actually better than being nice? When is lying the kinder option?Would you tell your best friend they’re being cheated on?What if your best friend is the cheater?Honesty about appearance, weight & uncomfortable truthsWhen does “being honest” cross the line into being mean? Our conclusion? The truth might set you free…but apparently we need the terms and conditions first. 😂

Should Your Partner Be Your Best Friend? | Relationships, Friendship & Independence
2026/09/07
Everyone says you should “marry your best friend”… but does your partner actually need to be your best friend? And if they’re not, who gets the title?
In this episode, we’re debating who really gets the #1 spot once you’re in a relationship. Tyerra is firmly Team Girlfriends, while Terri makes it clear that her mom still holds the top spot. Sorry to everyone else involved. 😂
We also get into whether healthy couples need separate friends and separate lives, how much you should tell your best friend about your relationship, and whether venting crosses a line. Because you might forgive your partner…but your best friend remembers everything.
Finally, we debate what matters more in a long-term relationship: passion or friendship? Does your partner need to be your lover and your best friend—or are we expecting one person to be everything?
🎙️ In This Episode:

Should Parents Financially Support Their Adult Children? | When Is It Time to Cut Them Off?
2026/08/31
At what age should your parents officially cut you off? Terri says eventually. Tyerra says… never sounds reasonable. 😂
In this episode, we’re getting into the sometimes awkward world of parents financially supporting adult children. Terri raised three strong, independent women who should be able to support themselves—but does being financially independent mean Mom and Dad should officially close the Bank of Parents?
We debate when adult children should start offering to pay, whether parents should still pick up the bill when everyone goes out, and where financial help crosses the line into enabling. And when life goes sideways, does the reason you need money matter? Losing your job is one thing. Running up your credit card because you treated “add to cart” like a personality trait? Terri has thoughts.
Ultimately, we ask the question a lot of families quietly navigate: When should parents stop financially supporting their adult children—and when will you always be their kid, no matter how old you are?
🎙️ In This Episode:
When should parents financially cut off their adult children?Do parents owe their adult kids financial support?Should adult children offer to pay when they're with their parents?Helping your kids vs. financially enabling themShould parents bail their kids out of bad financial decisions? When it’s okay to move back home and ask your parents for helpRaising financially independent adult childrenBecause apparently being a strong, independent woman and still wanting your mom to pick up the dinner bill can coexist. 💅

Pilates, Strength Training & Fitness: What Actually Works? | ft. Tina
2026/08/24
In this episode, we’re joined by Tina—engineer by day, fitness instructor by night (and very early morning!)—who teaches Pilates and HIIT at some of Toronto’s top fitness studios.
We’re talking Pilates, strength training, workout routines, and how to make fitness actually fit into a busy life. Tina shares her take on the “lift heavy” movement, the biggest fitness misconceptions she wishes would disappear, and what aspiring fitness instructors should know before getting started.
Plus, we get into balancing multiple careers, staying consistent when life gets chaotic, and her best advice for anyone who finds the gym—or fitness in general—a little intimidating. Because apparently you don’t need to completely overhaul your life to get stronger. Who knew?

Mid-Year Reset: Are We Actually Achieving Our Goals?
2026/08/17
It’s time for a mid-year goal check-in… and let’s just say, the results are humbling. We each started the year with three big goals and have officially accomplished one. Progress is progress, right?
Meanwhile, Tyerra took goal setting to another level with a 24-goal bingo card—only to discover that apparently making the bingo card was the easy part. 😂
We’re checking in on what worked, what absolutely did not, why some goals quietly disappeared from the group chat, and whether we still have time to turn things around. We wrap things up by choosing one big goal to accomplish before the end of the year—because clearly, we needed to lower the number of tabs open.
🎙️ In This Episode:

Empty Nest Syndrome: Finding Yourself After Your Kids Grow Up
2026/08/10
The kids grow up, move out, and suddenly the house is quiet. Sounds peaceful… so why are we feeling guilty for enjoying it? 😂
In this episode, we’re getting into the reality of empty nest syndrome, motherhood, identity, and what happens when the role that consumed so much of your life starts to change. Terri shares what it’s like navigating life as an empty nester, while Tyerra gives the adult-child perspective—including whether we actually feel guilty for leaving home.
We talk about losing yourself in motherhood, rediscovering who you are outside of being “Mom,” whether adult children are responsible for filling the void, and why this next chapter might be less about an empty nest and more about finally making room for yourself.
Because maybe the nest isn’t empty… maybe there’s just finally some space. 👀

Midlife Crisis or Midlife Awakening? | Career Changes, Empty Nest & Feeling Behind
2026/08/03
In this episode, we're asking the question nobody wants to admit they're thinking: is a midlife crisis actually a crisis... or just the moment you realize your life isn't going exactly as planned?
We get into what a midlife crisis really looks like today, why so many of us feel like we're falling behind (even when we're not), and whether turning 30 is basically the new version of turning 50. We also put Terri in the hot seat to figure out if she's actually having a midlife crisis—or if becoming an empty nester and changing careers is simply the start of a brand-new chapter.
Whether you're questioning your career, your purpose, or just wondering why everyone else seems to have it together, this episode is your reminder that none of us really know what we're doing... and that's oddly comforting.

2026/07/27

From nostalgic comfort movies to recent blockbusters, we compare notes, defend our questionable picks, and inevitably judge each other's taste along the way. Whether you're looking for your next movie night recommendation or just want to know which films we think deserve all the hype, we've got opinions—and plenty of them.
Because let's be honest... there are two kinds of people: those who rewatch the same comfort movie 47 times, and those who somehow always have something new on their watchlist.

Why Doing Less Is the New Productivity | Slowing Down Without Feeling Guilty
2026/07/20
In this episode, we're questioning the idea that doing more automatically means living better. Somewhere along the way, we started believing every morning needed a five-step routine, every free minute had to be productive, and saying "yes" to everyone was a personality trait.
We talk about why we're intentionally slowing down—from letting go of overly regimented morning routines to accepting that not every day needs to be packed with accomplishments. We also discuss setting healthier boundaries, not always being available, and making more time for solo travel, quiet moments, and doing absolutely nothing without feeling guilty.
Turns out, protecting your peace might be the most productive thing you do all week.
🎙️ In This Episode:• Why we're choosing to do less, not more• Letting go of the "perfect" morning routine• Setting boundaries and protecting your time• Why rest isn't something you have to earn• Solo travel, wellness days & slowing down• Redefining what a productive day looks like

From 75 Hard and keto to chia seed water, apple cider vinegar, and the infamous Master Cleanse, we've tried our fair share of viral wellness hacks—and let's just say... not all of them deserved the hype.
We break down what worked (if anything), what we'd never do again, and why chasing the latest health trend isn't always the answer. If you've ever been personally victimized by wellness TikTok or convinced yourself that drinking vinegar would magically change your life, this episode is for you.
Because sometimes the healthiest thing you can do... is admit it was a terrible idea.
