Coleman Tidwell, Troy Sammons & Koen Garrett from the Walnut Street Youth Group deliver individual messages as part of Walnut Street's youth-led worship service.

Jesus is more than willing to gift us with precisely what we need, but the gift comes with strings attached. We have an obligation, and that obligation is loyalty. We owe our allegiance to the patron, and that’s really at the heart of Biblical faith. Faith is not the same thing as obedience. We often present the two as synonymous, but they are not. However, faith does include obedience. You cannot give your loyalty to the king then live the way you want.

Chad Garrett walks us through the book of Jude and makes application for modern-day disciples.

Jesus is King, and there are only two possible responses to the King. You can either REBEL AGAINST or BOW TO. That’s it! That’s your only two options. You are either loyal or rebellious. You are either on His side or you are His enemy.

One of our shepherds at Walnut Street, Scott Woodard, helps us better understand wisdom as it relates to humility and meekness.

Hope is always dependent on the reliability of the one we’re counting on. Hope depends on who’s making the promise. When you read through scripture, you’ll notice that hope is never pulled out of thin air. It’s based on a  history with God; a history that gives us insight into the character of God and why we can trust Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

One of Walnut Street's shepherds, J.T. Gillson, elaborates on our mission statement--to live is Christ. How do we live out this mission as a church member and a church family?

We all bring something different to the table, and whatever gift we bring it’s all for the same purpose. The gifts may be different, but the purpose is the same. Variety of gifts. One Spirit. One purpose.

Chris continues his Sunday evening sermon series focusing on some of the most misused and abused passages of scripture. The verse being highlighted in this particular message is 2 Corinthians 5:10. There is much confusion surrounding the judgment and the Day of the Lord. What does 2 Corinthians have to say about it, if anything.

Unity is not uniformity. It’s not everyone being the same. It can’t be. If we were all the same, we couldn’t accomplish the goal. Uniformity will kill the team. We don’t all have to be the same, but we do all have to be on the same page. Unity is not sameness of persons. It’s oneness of purpose.

Chris Hedge discusses what he would want everyone to know if he had only one shot to preach God's word.

Charles DeBerry walks us through the story of the woman at the well in John Chapter 4.

God speaks every Sunday at the Walnut Street Church of Christ. The question is, “Are you listening?” If God is speaking then we should all be attentive to what He has to say—all of the time. If God is speaking then each and every one of us have an obligation to listen. If God is speaking then our ears, our minds, our hearts, and our Bibles should be open.

One of the shepherds at Walnut Street, Troy Williams, discusses Jesus, the Sabbath, and the implications for those of us living in this day and age.

Guy Hammond makes his way to Dickson, Tennessee, all the way from Canada to share his story of surrendering his sexuality to Jesus and dedicating his life to helping others who struggle with same sex attraction.
