Advertise on podcast: Magic Threads - Connection Through String

I just finished a run of 3 fibre shows in 4 weeks, and for this episode I decided to talk about fibre shows and the beautiful, magic connections that are made there. This episode is just me, Jenn, talking to you and I may do this from time to time. Next month, I'll be back to having guests. This episode is essentially a 15 min love letter to all of you. Thank you all for your continued support!!

Join me as I talk connection and community with Fiona and Amanda from Knit Social, the masterminds behind Knit City Festivals in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal. We talk about the beginning of their friendship and Knit City and how it's grown through the years. And we definitely discuss upcoming Knit City Calgary! Grab a cup of tea/coffee, your craft and settle in for a visit.

Join myself and Veronica Murphy, owner of StashLounge and Rick Rack Textiles as we talk about all things string and community! We start with our East Coaster connection and move into everything from niche music to Veronica's guilty pop culture pleasure! Grab a cup of tea, your crafting and settle in for a great little visit. 1

This month I'm chatting about virtual community, how they/we met and what community can mean in different spaces. Of course we also have a lot of laughs, get introducted to Melissa's new puppy AND talk comfort/guilty pleasure watches. Get a cup of tea, some crafts and sit down for a visit with us!

Please join Michelle Boyd - master spinner, spinning instructor and author and myself as we talk about all things wool! We talk about the hey day of the Olds College Master Spinner Program, wool and how string is one of the most important tools to humanity. We get a little nerdy as was to be expected and I find out what Michelle's guilty pleasure is! Check out Michelle's books Twist and A User's Guide to Yarn (out June 16). Michelle's website is www.michelleboydspins.com. Grab your crafts, a drink and sit with us while we chat connection and community.

Join me for an amazing discussion with local to me sisters, Cheryl and Candace. We talk about connection, community, vending, politics, ridiculous stories and guilty pleasures.

Please join me for a great conversation on fibre arts, community, politics and more with Anna Golladay. Anna is a friend, small business owner (Bias and Bourbon), faith leader, fellow music lover and is currently running for Congress in Tennessee.

Coming this Saturday, join me as I have a conversation with my very first guest - Anna Golladay, faith leader, politician, social justice activist and very dear friend who I don't see as often as I'd like.

Make some tea and sit down with some crafts and have a listen to Episode Two of Magic Threads - Connection Through String. In this episode I'll talk about how I got my CPW spinning wheel and how I met a dear family friend, who affectionately became known as the F Lady throughout my university days at Mount Allison University. This is a truly Maritime story with lots of interconnecting small town connections woven throughout.

A little description of what's coming up on the latest episode - dropping Sunday.

In this first episode, Jenn talks about the idea for this podcast, what connection means to her and her history in the fibre arts. She also talks about her deep familial connections and ancestral connections for the fibre world, with a fun little connection with Briggs & Little from her home province of New Brunswick. Grab a cup of tea and your crafting and settle in for a little visit.

Brief introduction to Jenn and the idea/background of the podcast. First full episode drops on February 7.
