A Catholic CEO’s Dark Night of the Soul | Dave Durand
2026/09/30
Before his life fell apart, Dave Durand experienced a moment of God’s love so profound that he says he would have wanted it to last forever. He has rarely spoken about it—until now.
Dave built and sold companies, including Best Version Media, which he says reaches roughly 30 million readers through 1,300 publications. But behind that success, he faced divorce, financial loss, grief, and a painful struggle to pray.
In this conversation with Stephen Henley, Dave shares what those years taught him about leading people, holding on to faith when prayer feels empty, and letting go of the appearance of a perfect life. He explains how St. Teresa of Ávila helped him discover the interior life, why he had been living more like Martha than Mary, and what it means to pursue holiness through God’s grace.
Dave also discusses the documentary in development about Legatus founder Tom Monaghan.
An Exorcist at Kevin James’s House | Lorenzo Henrie
2026/09/23
Actor and producer Lorenzo Henrie, who appears in Mel Gibson’s upcoming The Resurrection of the Christ, grew up in Hollywood, but his life changed at Kevin James’s house.
During a trip connected to Grown Ups 2, after spending time on set with Kevin James and Adam Sandler, Lorenzo heard Catholic priest and exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger speak about spiritual warfare. His immediate thought was, “If what he’s saying is true, I’m doomed.” He went to confession the next day.
Years later, Lorenzo was offered the opportunity to portray Al Pacino in a series about the making of The Godfather. After reading a scene that crossed a line for him, he walked away from the role.
Lorenzo joins Stephen Henley to discuss living the Catholic faith in Hollywood, the responsibility leaders carry toward their families and business partners, and how he and his brother David are building Novo Inspire Studios. He explains how their film fund creates more opportunities, diversifies investment, and helps them produce meaningful entertainment at scale. Lorenzo also shares what he can about spending seven months in Rome working on The Resurrection of the Christ.

2026/09/16
The way we approach health care reveals what we believe about the human person.
In this episode of Eleven Talents, Louis Brown Jr., J.D., Executive Director of the Christ Medicus Foundation, joins Stephen Henley to explore the relationship between Catholic faith, health care, religious freedom, and the defense of human dignity.
Louis reflects on his journey from law and public policy to Christ-centered health care, the moral challenges facing the medical system, and the responsibility of Catholics to remain engaged in the decisions shaping health care today.
He also discusses the next phase of the pro-life movement, conscience rights for medical professionals, and the importance of building a culture of love rooted in the truth about the human person.
AI Can’t Replace the Human Leader | Joe Hart
2026/09/09
AI is transforming the way we work. But it may be making human leadership more important than ever.
In this episode of Eleven Talents, Joe Hart, CEO of Dale Carnegie, explains why the skills that make great leaders cannot be automated: communication, judgment, empathy, trust, collaboration, and the ability to genuinely connect with people.
Joe shares how Dale Carnegie’s century-old principles remain remarkably relevant in today’s rapidly changing world, why leaders must learn to see things from another person’s point of view, and why the best leaders are often the ones humble enough to listen.
He also explores the future of leadership in the age of AI, the importance of being intentional about how we think and interact with others, and why what makes us human may ultimately be our greatest leadership advantage.

“From This Day Forward, I Am Not Catholic!” | Jeff Cavins
2026/09/02
Jeff Cavins once stood before a bishop and publicly declared, “From this day forward, I am not Catholic!” He became a Protestant pastor, but his search for truth eventually brought him home to the Catholic Church—and led him to create the Great Adventure Bible Timeline, the framework behind The Bible in a Year.
In this episode of Eleven Talents, Jeff shares why he left Catholicism, what brought him back, and how understanding Scripture as one connected story can transform the way we live, work, and lead.
The Supernatural Side of Business Leadership | Fr. Mathias Thelen
2026/08/26
Do miracles still happen—and what do they have to do with the way we lead?
Fr. Mathias Thelen, co-founder and president of Encounter Ministries, joins Stephen Henley for a conversation about modern miracles, healing, human formation, and faith-driven leadership.
Fr. Mathias shares why he believes the Holy Spirit remains active today and explains how authentic relationships prepare us to recognize and respond to God’s work. He and Stephen also explore what these truths mean for entrepreneurs and business leaders: how we develop people, build healthy cultures, make courageous decisions, and bring faith into the workplace.
This episode challenges us to expect more from God—and to rethink what it means to build, lead, and serve.
Religious Freedom Under Fire: Erin Mersino on the Supreme Court & Title IX
2026/08/19
Religious freedom may be written into the Constitution—but without people willing to defend it, those protections are only words.
Constitutional attorney and Legatus member Erin Mersino joins the Eleven Talents Podcast to share her journey from criminal prosecutor to religious-liberty advocate. She recounts helping lead the legal fight against the HHS mandate, obtaining one of the country’s first injunctions against it, and ultimately winning at the Supreme Court.
Erin opens up about bringing her Catholic faith into the courtroom, the prayers she turns to before a case and how she balances a demanding legal vocation with raising five boys. She also shares the moving story of her youngest son’s Down syndrome diagnosis and his unexpected birth at home.
The conversation looks ahead to the legal battles facing America—including free speech, faith in public life, Title IX, women’s sports and the meaning of religious liberty itself.
It’s a conversation about courage, motherhood, justice and answering God’s call when the stakes are high.
When Work Becomes Worship: Biblical Business Lessons | Dr. John Bergsma
2026/08/12
Work was never meant to compete with worship. It was meant to become an offering.
In this episode of Eleven Talents, biblical scholar Dr. John Bergsma returns to the Garden of Eden to present Adam as the first CEO, a leader entrusted with people, resources, responsibility, and a mission. Adam’s fall becomes history’s first leadership failure, revealing what happens when stewardship is separated from obedience to God.
Dr. Bergsma also draws business lessons from Solomon, the wisest king of the Old Testament, whose life demonstrates that wisdom, wealth, and success are not enough when ambition loses its proper order.
The conversation then becomes deeply personal as Dr. Bergsma reflects on the loss of his son and his profound encounter with redemptive suffering. His Catholic faith gave him more than an explanation for pain; it showed him how suffering united to Christ can be transformed and offered.
This conversation challenges Catholic leaders to reintegrate work with worship, treat success as stewardship, and entrust both life’s highest joys and deepest losses to God.
What Surrender Looks Like After Raising $130M | Hallow Co-Founder Alessandro DiSanto
2026/08/05
On paper, Alessandro DiSanto was succeeding. In reality, everything around him was beginning to disintegrate.
Then his best friend, a McKinsey consultant, encountered the peace of God through prayer. That experience changed the direction of their lives and helped lead to the founding of Hallow.
Alessandro joins Legatus President Stephen Henley to discuss his early addiction to success, why Hallow chose a for-profit model, and what surrender looks like after raising more than $130 million in capital. He also shares advice for young entrepreneurs learning to recognize and sharpen their God-given gifts.
Run Into the Storm: Two Men and a Truck’s Brig Sorber on Faith and Loss
2026/07/29
Six months before this conversation, Brig Sorber’s wife of 40 years, Fran, died by suicide. In the grief that followed, Brig made a decision: he would not run away from the storm.
Brig compares it to the difference between a buffalo and a cow. The cow runs away from the storm, while the buffalo moves directly into it. For Brig, “being the buffalo” means trusting Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to carry him through pain he cannot carry alone.
Brig also shares how he helped grow Two Men and a Truck from a $200 pickup into a major franchise with more than 3,200 trucks. He explains why business success ultimately left him feeling empty, how he surrendered the company to Christ and how his faith shaped the way he led through growth, recession and the eventual sale of the business.
Brig joins Legatus President Stephen Henley for an honest conversation about faith, family, leadership, grief and choosing to run into life’s storms instead of away from them.
