What does confidence really look like on the court? In this episode, I sit down with Dainyell Fox to dive into the subtle ways we seek approval while playing—and how it quietly impacts our performance. From second-guessing shots to playing it safe, we explore how confidence isn’t about perfection… it’s about trust. Trust in your training, your instincts, and your ability to recover when things don’t go as planned. Dainyell shares insight into how these patterns show up for players of all levels—and how becoming aware of them is the first step toward playing more freely and authentically. If you’ve ever found yourself playing not to lose instead of playing to win… this one’s for you.

Welcome to Comedy on the Court—where tennis meets comedy, and mistakes come with a punchline. In this pilot episode, host Shay Brown introduces the heart behind the humor: how tennis became both her greatest teacher and her most humbling form of therapy. From unforced errors and emotional spirals to learning how to laugh instead of cry, Shay shares why the mental game matters just as much as the score. Whether you’re a competitive player, a weekend hitter, or someone who’s ever been way too hard on themselves—this podcast is for you. We’re talking tennis culture, athlete mindset, resilience, and finding joy in the chaos… one faulty serve at a time. Because sometimes, the healthiest move isn’t fixing your swing—it’s fixing how you talk to yourself.
