NO MAN FIGHTS ALONE | VIOLENT COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE #2
Men’s mental health, faith in Jesus Christ, brotherhood, trauma, addiction recovery, and overcoming adversity.
In Episode 2 of Violent Community Roundtable, Steve Morris is joined by John Martinez, Eric Jackson, and Gabe for an unfiltered conversation about the struggles men face and why no man should have to fight his battles alone.
Too many men suffer in silence because they’ve been conditioned to believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness. But acknowledging that you’re struggling takes strength, courage, and humility.
In this episode, we discuss:
Men’s Mental Health: Breaking the stigma surrounding vulnerability and asking for help.Military and First Responder Trauma: The emotional toll of serving others and experiencing traumatic events.Faith and Spiritual Warfare: Trusting Jesus Christ through grief, loss, and life’s most difficult seasons.Addiction Recovery and Sobriety: Gabe shares his experiences with loss, divorce, and maintaining 16 years of sobriety.Brotherhood and Accountability: Why surrounding yourself with strong, trustworthy men matters.Strength Through Adversity: Finding purpose, rebuilding your life, and refusing to give up.Whether you’re a veteran, first responder, husband, father, or a man struggling to find your way, this conversation is a reminder that you are not alone.
Real strength isn’t pretending everything is okay. Sometimes it’s having the courage to tell another man you need help.
The Peace • Power • & Purpose Podcast is dedicated to raising awareness for men’s mental health, sharing authentic testimonies, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

5 Years Sober | My Journey of Faith, Recovery & Finding Purpose
2026/10/10
Five years sober. October 2021 marked the beginning of a journey that would change my life in ways I never imagined.
In this solo episode of the Peace • Power • & Purpose Podcast, I share my personal journey through sobriety, alcohol recovery, faith, and finding purpose.
I reflect on the last five years, the lessons I’ve learned, the struggles I’ve faced, and the role Jesus Christ has played in my life. I also talk about how my sobriety eventually led me to start this podcast and why sharing these conversations matters so much to me.
Sobriety doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes easy. There are still difficult days, losses, challenges, and moments when you question everything. But there’s also gratitude, growth, and the opportunity to become a better man.
If you’re struggling with alcohol, working toward sobriety, or supporting someone through addiction recovery, I hope my story encourages you to keep moving forward.

Violent Community Roundtable | Brotherhood, Faith & The Power of Community
2026/10/09
What happens when men come together to build something bigger than themselves?
In this episode of the Peace • Power • & Purpose Podcast, we bring together the Violent Community Roundtable for a conversation about brotherhood, faith, masculinity, fatherhood, accountability, and the importance of building strong men.
Too many men today feel invisible. They’re working, providing for their families, raising their children, and trying to do the right thing, often without anyone acknowledging their efforts.
Sometimes hearing “You’re doing a good job” can make all the difference.
Violent Community is about more than a name. It’s about brotherhood, responsibility, and recognizing the value of good men.
We’re not here to promote destructive behavior, chase social media attention, or tear other people down. We’re here to encourage men to become better fathers, husbands, leaders, and members of their communities.
In this conversation, we explore:
Why so many men feel invisible and unappreciatedThe importance of brotherhood and genuine male friendshipsBuilding a community rooted in faith, strength, and accountabilityRecognizing men who are doing the right thingsFatherhood, marriage, and the responsibility of leading by exampleChallenging the destructive culture promoted through social mediaWhy strong communities need strong, purpose-driven menInspired by Matthew 11:12, Violent Community represents men who refuse to remain passive in their faith, their responsibilities, and their commitment to one another.
This isn’t about being violent toward others. It’s about being intentional in how we live, lead, and serve.
If you’re a man searching for brotherhood, struggling with isolation, or looking for a community that values faith, accountability, and personal growth, this conversation is for you.

The Cost of Saying “I’m Fine” | Dr. Dorothy Novitskie on Trauma, Faith & Healing
2026/10/08
What happens when someone gets so good at functioning that nobody realizes they’re falling apart?
Dr. Dorothy Novitskie, a clinical and forensic psychologist, joins Steve Morris on the Peace • Power • & Purpose Podcast for an honest conversation about trauma, PTSD, mental health, resilience, Christian faith, and healing.
For police officers, military veterans, first responders, and men who have spent years being told to stay strong, the words “I’m fine” can become a way of hiding emotional pain, unresolved trauma, and struggles that nobody else can see.
But what happens when that pain begins affecting your marriage, your children, your career, and your sense of identity?
In this episode, Steve and Dr. Novitskie explore:
How trauma affects the brain and nervous systemPTSD and mental health challenges in law enforcementWhy men and first responders often suppress emotional distressThe difference between resilience and emotional suppressionHow unresolved trauma affects marriage, parenting, and relationshipsAnger, isolation, shame, and losing your sense of identityWhy seeking professional help is a sign of strengthHow to recognize when therapy may be necessaryChristian faith and evidence-based psychological treatmentForgiveness, reconciliation, boundaries, and graceBreaking the stigma surrounding mental healthHealing from childhood trauma and finding purpose after adversityOne of the most powerful moments in the conversation comes when Dr. Novitskie shares something a law enforcement officer once told her:
“I don’t know who I am anymore. I don’t recognize myself.”
For many people, the greatest struggle isn’t surviving what happened to them. It’s recognizing how those experiences have changed who they’ve become.
This conversation challenges the idea that strength means being unaffected by adversity. Real resilience requires recognizing when something has affected you and being willing to address it.
Whether you’re a police officer, veteran, first responder, spouse, parent, or someone carrying the weight of unresolved trauma, this episode is for you.
Your past may have shaped you, but it doesn’t have to define your future.

2026/10/01
Former Marine Raider Prime Hall joins the Peace, Power, & Purpose Podcast for a deeply personal conversation about PTSD, faith, fatherhood, childhood wounds, identity, healing, alcohol, and life after MARSOC.

Life After the Secret Service: Losing Identity & Finding Christ | John Constantine
2026/09/17
What happens when the mission ends, the identity you built your life around disappears, and you’re left asking who you are without it?
John Constantine is a retired U.S. Secret Service agent who spent most of his career serving on the Counter Assault Team (CAT). But some of the hardest battles of his life came after the career was over.
In this episode of the Peace • Power • & Purpose Podcast, John opens up about his years in the U.S. Secret Service, life on the Counter Assault Team, and the difficult transition that followed retirement.
John shares what it was like losing the identity, brotherhood, mission, and sense of purpose that came with the job—and how that struggle affected his marriage and his life.
But this conversation ultimately becomes a story about Jesus Christ.
John talks about his search for something more, his journey toward faith, and the realization that what he had been searching for was Christ.
We talk about:
• Life inside the U.S. Secret Service and Counter Assault Team • What happens when a career becomes your identity • The struggle of transitioning out of law enforcement • Marriage, purpose, brotherhood, and identity • Searching for meaning after the mission ends • Finding faith and surrendering to Christ • Building an identity rooted in something greater than a career
This episode is about more than the Secret Service.
It’s about what happens when everything you used to define yourself is stripped away—and where you turn when you realize your career was never meant to be your identity.
If you’re a veteran, law enforcement officer, first responder, or any man struggling with identity, transition, faith, or purpose, this conversation is for you.
