Description

Welcome to Rich Work, the podcast for established women entrepreneurs who know they should be charging more, but haven't cracked the code on premium positioning yet. I'm Rachel Pearson, a Global Brand & Business Strategist who spent 15 years building luxury brands like De Beers and launching an airline during a pandemic. Now I help women scale to consistent 5 and multi-6 figure months without the constant proving or over-delivering. Every week, I break down how luxury brands create desire (think: Chanel, Hermès) and how to apply those principles to your business. You'll get premium positioning strategy, high-ticket business moves, and the identity shifts that actually let you hold the wealth you're building. This is for women ready to attract clients who pay in full, build the life (the retreats, the calm mornings, the legacy work), and stop following someone else's playbook. If you're done playing small, you're in the right place. Connect with me on Instagram @rachelpearson.co. Ready to rewrite the rules?

29. Stop Selling Online Like You Have To Prove Yourself to Premium Clients
2026/10/08
I was on a call this morning with a client who has over 10 years of experience and clients are happy to put their name to the results she gets them. But she is struggling to sell online. Most coaches would call that a money block, but they would be fixing the wrong thing. By the end of our call she could name the gap she had invented between herself and the people she wanted as clients, and see exactly how it was blocking her before a single conversation started. Listen to the episode to name your own perception gap so you can sell to premium clients as an equal no matter how much more successful they seem than you, and I'll share 3 examples of luxury brand strategy that prove attracting clients has nothing to do with being the loudest in the room. Topics covered on Selling Online:What is a perception gap, and how do you know you have one?How do you stop measuring your success against other people's visibility when selling online?Luxury brand strategy that will teach you how to attract clients at premium prices. What changes when you show up as a peer to the clients you want to attract? 28. How to Create an Irresistible Offer That Will Sell Out in Q4
2026/09/24
It's that time of year where it's impossible to have your first sip of coffee without being sold something first. Q4 is a huge revenue opportunity, but it's incredibly noisy. People are still buying at every price point, but it takes more trust than it did 2-3 years ago, especially with a high ticket offer, and that changes how you position and structure what you sell. In today's episode I talk about the 4 pillars of an in-demand offer (I swear by this framework and I use it every time I sell anything). Stay to the end because pillar 4 is the one most people don't look at but that's what makes the difference between a good offer and one premium clients refer without being asked. Plus, I created a workbook that takes you through all 4 pillars so you can create an irresistible offer that calls in premium clients, gets them results, and has them telling other people about it. Grab it here! Topics covered on How to Create an Irresistible Offer:Why are people still buying at every price point, but taking longer to say yes than they did 2-3 years ago? What makes premium clients read your offer and immediately know it was built for them? Why do some high ticket offers look impressive on a sales page but still struggle to sell? What are premium clients telling themselves when they hesitate, and what can you do about it inside your offer? How do you create an irresistible offer that you can sell for months without your audience (or you) getting bored of it? 27. What Brand Differentiation Strategy Luxury Brands Use (That Your Business Coach Would Tell You Not To) | Summer Prediction Series
2026/09/10
Welcome to the fourth and last episode of the summer prediction series, where I pull out the one thing all four were pointing at: brand differentiation strategy. Today I'm sharing the luxury brand strategy that premium brands such as Ferrari and Chanel use, the thing that makes them so lucrative, and it means doing what every online business coach will tell you not to do. Plus I'll show you how to borrow that luxury brand model and apply it in your own business. I'll also talk about the dimension you make your decisions from, because most women decide from a place of proving, and that is what holds them back. Topics covered on Brand Differentiation Strategy:What do premium brands do differently when they make long-term decisions? What is Ferrari's and Chanel's brand differentiation strategy that makes them so lucrative? Why do successful women still feel they have to justify their high ticket offer and their premium prices? What makes some businesses accelerate while others circle the same level for years? 26. How Premium Businesses Leverage Relationship Marketing in 2027 | Summer Predictions Series
2026/08/27
Somewhere along the line, we forgot that business used to be about relationships. Relationship marketing wasn't a tactic back then, it was simply how deals happened, because people who knew people vouched for people they trusted. Then we built entire systems to replace it, and now we wonder why people buy once and bounce, and why none of it feels like it's compounding. This is episode 4 of my summer predictions miniseries and it's all about, what I call, the off-market growth strategy. It's the thing the highest-priced, highest-earning businesses have been running on the whole time, and it's what I think we're about to see come back into play. I'll talk about how to think of referral marketing as a business strategy, how to build business relationships in a meaningful way (while everyone else is trying to outsource it to AI), and the brand building strategies that will move your business ahead of everyone else's in 2027. Topics covered on Relationship Marketing:How do premium businesses leverage building business relationships so their client list is always full?Premium brand positioning works on exclusivity rather than reach, and the private banking model that proves it.Why should you be doubling down on relationship marketing instead of trying to replace it with systems and AI?The brand building strategies the smartest businesses are already moving on to. 25. How to Build a Premium Brand Like Taylor Swift | Summer Prediction Series
2026/08/13
Taylor Swift is about to make a fortune from her wedding without selling a single photo, and she does it by running her life like a premium brand. I don't call myself a Swiftie, but I've studied her as a businesswoman for years, and I think she's one of the sharpest marketers alive. This is part 3 of my summer predictions series, and today I'm diving into Taylor Swift's business strategy and how you'd use the same premium positioning that keeps her untouchable to build your own personal brand. Your story is your greatest asset, the one thing that's completely and utterly unique to you. Come and hear how to make it work like Taylor's does. Topics covered on Build a Premium Brand:Your lived experience is the one asset AI can never replicate, no matter how well you train itTaylor Swift's business strategy: how she turns a private wedding into a fortune without ever appearing to sell itWhat luxury houses like Loro Piana and Patek Philippe know about premium positioning that most of us ignoreRunning your career like a premium brand means withholding far more than you shareHow to stop treating your story as content and start treating it as a premium brand asset Connect with Rachel:Come say hi on Instagram│LinkedIn│WebsiteThe Debrief Telegram group: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/debrief Mentioned in this episode: She Sets The Standard The room where women who are already extraordinary stop pretending you're available for anything less. 24. 3 Ways to Scale Your Intellectual Property | Summer Prediction Series
2026/07/30
When I talk about scaling intellectual property, it freaks out a lot of people. They feel like they've got nothing big or bold enough for anyone to care about. But you do, and you can do it without burying it in a cheap £47 course. Today I'm sharing real stories from 3 women sitting on an offer they couldn't see: A founder who has sold 3 businesses, a membership owner rethinking how she grows, and an old friend who has no idea she's sitting on a sellable skill. Along the way, premium positioning, licensing, and scaling a business through your thinking rather than your hours. The point isn't getting your thinking to more people. It's the structure that lets your thinking compound in value instead of sitting in your notes as a half formed idea you never act on. If that's you, come and hear why it could be your next offer. Topics covered on Scaling Your Intellectual Property:Why a cheap course won't scale your intellectual property and signals to buyers that your thinking is just readily available. The founder who sold 3 businesses, and how she's licensing her thinking instead of selling one course. The membership owner sitting on a model she could franchise, without chaining herself to more hours. My physiotherapist friend who swears she knows nothing, when she's actually sitting on knowledge people would happily pay for. 23. How to Build a Personal Brand in the AI Era | Summer Prediction Series
2026/07/23
I saw a job description on LinkedIn paying up to 10K a month and it confirmed my predictions about building a personal brand this year. It read like a media company hire, not a marketing role, and it named exactly where premium businesses are heading in the next 6-12 months. Welcome to my first episode of summer series predictions for 2027, where I am talking about the shift into media company model, how to use AI in business to handle the content strategy and the repetitive work without losing your originality, and what premium clients really need to feel before they invest. Tune in to hear where I see premium business going next. Topics covered on Building Personal Brand:Why building a personal brand now means thinking like a media company, even if your business is just you.The LinkedIn job description that signals about where premium business is heading. How AI is taking over content creation and repurposing, and what makes you irreplaceable once it does. Why premium clients buy on compounding evidence rather than more volume, and what that means for your premium positioning.Getting discerning about which platforms and rooms are right for you to be publishing in. 22. How To Build A Network That Sends You Premium Clients (Without You Ever Asking)
2026/07/16
Do you want to know how to build a network that sends you premium clients, press and opportunities you never applied for? I'm an introvert who was painfully shy at school, and I still built a strong network that turned into collaborations across the US and Europe. In today's episode, I'm sharing why building business relationships begins with being generous and expecting nothing back (despite the online space teaching us otherwise) and how to build trust in business, especially when the value of what you're selling is high. I'm also naming what most people get wrong about networking for entrepreneurs, because networking doesn't always have to be transactional. This episode is the reframe that will change it for you. Topics covered on How To Build A Network:Why generosity needs to come first when building business relationships. How is trust built in luxury sales like diamonds? How to position yourself to be remembered every time you walk into a room?An event in Dubai where one woman closed multi six figures in just 2 days. 21. I Sold 25% of My Event Before Announcing a Single Speaker | Designing Brand Experience Events
2026/07/09
A quarter of the tickets to my event, She Sets The Standard, sold before I named the venue, the speakers, or a single detail. That is what becomes possible when you are known for brand experience events, not just good events. Everyone tells you the content has to be strong, and it does. But there are so many events to choose from now that strong content alone is not what makes someone walk out and tell a friend they have to be in that room with you. Today I'm sharing how I design brand experiences that attract premium clients and how to build a brand world people want to be drawn into. So if your events land well but still feel like they could be anyone's, this is how you make them unmistakably yours. Topics covered on Brand Experience Events:How I sold a quarter of the tickets for my event before announcing the venue, the speakers or a single detailDesigning brand experiences people recognise as yours before they ever see your logoWhy high end brand experiences do not have to mean stuffy (dry ice, pipettes and chocolate fossils)Real examples of brand experience events I've created, from retreats to a one day business eventBuilding brand experience events that attract premium clients and could only be yours Connect with Rachel:Come say hi on Instagram│LinkedIn│Website The Debrief Telegram group: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/debrief Resources mentioned in this episode:She Sets The Standard: London, Friday 13th November 2026 Mentioned in this episode: She Sets The Standard The room where women who are already extraordinary stop pretending you're available for anything less. 20. I Lost 40 Followers With Just ONE Post (The Fear of Being Seen & Visibility Blocks)
2026/07/02
The fear of being seen started for me at age 10, when my family became highly visible in the press and I learned to associate visibility with threat. A couple of weeks ago, I put the word visibility in the middle of a blank page and let myself freestyle write. What came through was that I'm taming myself in my most visible channels, bumping up against a ceiling: the old belief that when you become highly visible there has to be loss. So I posted the content I had been holding back. Within minutes 40 unfollows started, and I felt physically sick. What happened next is the part most people leave out of the conversation about the fear of visibility. So how do you name the visibility blocks sitting underneath your content and attract clients without performing or being controversial for the sake of it? That is exactly where this episode goes. Topics covered on Fear Of Being Seen:The fear of being seen is not a confidence issue. It is an old responsibility you never chose to carry. How a visibility block hides underneath content that looks authentic but holds back your real opinion. What happened to my followers count the moment I stopped taming myself in my most visible channels. The childhood association behind a fear of visibility that resurfaces every time your business grows. The one question to ask yourself about visibility, plus what it means for attracting clients who invest at the highest level. 19. Premium Clients Are Done With Perfect. What's Happening In Luxury Branding Right Now
2026/06/25
Something is shifting in luxury branding right now. Fashion houses are sending models down the runway in stained, raw, almost industrial pieces, and it is not for shock value. It is a signal, and it points straight at how premium clients are choosing where to invest. Today, I'm going into why human imperfection is becoming the rarest luxury of all, how it connects to premium positioning and building a high ticket business. I'm sharing the content marketing trends I'm seeing with the rise of AI and the email marketing habits that cost you high ticket sales. This is where I see things heading next, and the women who move first will own the space. The only question is whether you will be one of them. Topics Covered on Premium Clients Are Done With Perfect:Why Prada is sending stained shirts down the runway, and what it signalsWhy human imperfection is becoming the rarest luxury of allYou premium clients want you to sell them in every emailThe content premium clients lean into, and the content they scroll past Connect with Rachel:Come say hi on Instagram│Facebook │LinkedIn│Website The Debrief Telegram group: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/debrief Mentioned in this episode: She Sets The Standard The room where women who are already extraordinary stop pretending you're available for anything less. 18. This Is the High Ticket Business Mistake I See Most After 15 Years in Luxury Brand Strategy
2026/06/18
You can love the work, adore the clients, and still feel something draining out of your high ticket business one drip at a time. Most people call it burnout. After 15 years in luxury brand strategy, I'd call it something else entirely. The slow tiredness isn't always coming from doing too much. Often it's coming from under earning on the one thing that matters most to you, the work that feels so natural you've quietly decided it doesn't deserve a premium price point. You keep giving your most essential work away from inside your lowest priced offers, and over time that inversion is what wears you down. It also quietly shifts who you attract, because the price is signalling a level that's off. I'm going into the psychological root of why ease feels like it disqualifies value, the story I told myself about my own network, underpricing your services when they come too easily, and how to attract premium clients who are ready to receive your best work. If you're making good money, working with clients you love, and still feel that niggle of one and one not adding up to two, this is the conversation that helps you name what's really going on and what to charge for it. Topics covered on The High Ticket Business Mistake I See Most:The slow energy drain in your high ticket business usually isn't burnout but something elseThe work that feels easiest is probably the work you're underpricing mostWhat a hotel in Dubai taught me about effortlessness and premium positioningThe story I told myself about my network, and what I was really charging forThe one question that shows you what to stop giving away for free Connect with Rachel:Come say hi on Instagram│Facebook │LinkedIn│Website The Debrief Telegram group: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/debrief Resources mentioned in this episode:Calibration Mastermind: rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/Calibration-mastermind Related episodes you may enjoy:15. 17. This Is What Turns 'Good' Content Into Content That Converts Premium Clients
2026/06/11
Your content is good. Thoughtful, consistent, well written, but still not attracting premium clients. Today I'm diving into the content shift that changes how every post lands. Content that converts at this level isn't content that convinces. It speaks to someone who has already half decided. Most gurus online give content advice that is built for a buyer who needs months of warming up. High-ticket clients don't move like that. They decide when 3 things line up, and I'm naming all 3. I'm walking you through what authority content sounds like at a premium level, and the kind of lived storytelling that attracts premium clients without convincing them. If you're wondering why your content isn't tipping the right people into yes, this episode will name it. Topics covered on Content That Converts:Why just good content isn't attracting premium clients anymoreThe difference between building a content bank and building a brand through contentThe 3 things that need to line up before high-ticket clients say yesWhat authority content sounds like (and where most women soften it)The 3 questions to hold every post against before you hit publish Connect with Rachel:Come say hi on Instagram│Facebook │LinkedIn│Website The Debrief Telegram group: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/debrief Resources mentioned in this episode:Download your episode freebies: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/sJM184
16. The Uncomfortable Talk About Outgrowing Your Business: Why I Stopped Saying "High Ticket" For A Year
2026/06/04
I stopped using the phrase "high ticket" for nearly a year, even though it was the work that built my reputation. Not because I'd moved on from it, but because I'd quietly outgrown the business I'd built around it. The clients were still coming in but the work I was doing behind closed doors had shifted into something the rest of my business hadn't caught up with yet. And the coaching industry has 2 rules about this kind of evolution that I think are quietly damaging the way mentors lead their clients. I’m getting into premium positioning, the identity work that comes with this kind of evolution, and why the way most coaches handle this transition is repelling the premium clients they desire. If you've felt the niggle that something is off, even while your business is still growing, this one is for you. Topics covered on When You Outgrow Your Business:The moment I knew I'd outgrown my business (and still ignored it for months)Why I strongly disagree with the idea that clients should expand with you foreverThe 2 rules the coaching industry teaches about evolution that I think are quietly damagingWhat premium clients actually feel in your content before they decide to bookThe energy audit to run this week if something feels off in your business but you can't name it Connect with Rachel:Come say hi on Instagram│Facebook │LinkedIn│WebsiteThe Debrief Telegram group: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/debrief Resources mentioned in this episode:Download your episode freebies: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/sJM184Calibration Mastermind: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/Calibration-mastermind Detailed show notes: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/ep16
15. What Chanel Knew About Differentiation Business Strategy That Most People Are Still Getting Wrong
2026/05/28
You are sitting on the one thing that makes you irreplaceable, and you are hiding it on purpose. In today's episode I am unpacking why your differentiation business strategy is not failing because you do not know your edge. It is failing because you are protecting it. I call it your wild card. The capability so specific to you it cannot be replicated, the thing your best clients are quietly looking for, and the exact thing you keep softening so you sound more palatable, more familiar, more like your industry expects you to sound. I am sharing the moment I realised I had built a multi six figure business while still hiding my own wild card, why this is the fastest way to kill your premium positioning, and the difference between a spicy hot take and a sharp differentiation business strategy that names what your client already knows but will not say out loud. If you have been softening the thing that makes you unmatched, this is the episode that holds the mirror up. Because luxury brand strategy does not need broader appeal. It needs the version of you that you have been protecting. Topics Covered on Differentiation Strategy in Business:The real reason you have never fully played your wild card and what your subconscious is actually protectingYour differentiation strategy in business is not about a niche, a methodology or a clever Instagram bioThe difference between a spicy hot take and a wild card (most women get this wrong and it is making them sound like everyone else)What Chanel understood about luxury brand strategy that most female founders are still getting wrongThe 3 part shift to play your wild card without becoming aggressive or performative Connect with Rachel:Come say hi on Instagram│Facebook │LinkedIn│WebsiteThe Debrief Telegram group: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/debrief Resources mentioned in this episode:Mastermind event on 12th June in Central London: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/checkout/dcee34f07e0cc55b1ff89db4c2f32573Download your episode freebies: https://rachelpearson.kartra.com/page/sJM184 Related episodes you may enjoy:1.
