Nearly 80 years old, a lifelong naturist, and not a single regret. This week I sat with Trisha from Norfolk — a woman who has been baring it all since before it was socially acceptable. She takes me from secret garden gatherings in post-war Britain to shopping naked in Cap d'Agde and watching dolphins from a catamaran. Trisha is proof that the naturist life isn't a phase — it's a philosophy Support the show Some conversations go a little further than what I share publicly. This week I'm joined by Mark from Victoria, British Columbia — a naturist of over twenty years who got married at a naturist resort in Jamaica, got sunburned on a cold beach in Chile, and has found ways to practice naturism even in one of the coldest countries on earth. We talk world naturist travel, the equality that comes from having nothing on, and why he believes you will never find a less judgmental crowd anywhere. A warm, funny, inspiring conversation. In this episode of SlavicUncovered, I sit down with Kamil — a passionate and highly knowledgeable naturist originally from Poland and now living in Vienna — for a fascinating conversation about body freedom, shame, social conditioning and the changing culture of naturism across Europe. We talk about growing up in Poland during the 1980s and 90s, how attitudes towards nudity have changed, why countries like Austria and Germany often feel far more relaxed about the human body, and how modern social media has damaged many people’s body image and confidence. Kamil shares personal stories about discovering naturism, visiting clothing-optional beaches, sauna culture, and why naturism has nothing to do with having a “perfect” body. We also discuss the difference between nudity and sexuality, family naturism, the pressure people feel to hide their bodies, and why naturism can actually help people develop a healthier relationship with themselves. A thoughtful and surprisingly deep conversation about freedom, self-acceptance and what society loses when the human body becomes something to fear. If you enjoy these conversations, you can also find more personal and extended content from me, Asha, on other platforms. Nobody is born embarrassed by their own body. That part is learned — installed gradually and very efficiently by a world with strong opinions about what you should look like, how much you should weigh, what the scar or the stretch mark or the forty-two-year-old stomach says about you. Most of us have been wearing that story so long it just feels like normal. Like this is simply how life is. It doesn't have to be. In this episode I talk about what actually happens when people step into a safe, warm, non-judgmental space and finally stop hiding — and what that unlocks far beyond the physical. Because here's what I've witnessed over fifteen years of this work: when there is nothing left to hide behind, people stop hiding in every other way too. Couples find themselves saying things they haven't been able to say in months. Partners look at each other differently. Something honest moves into the space where performance used to be. The transformation is never really about the nudity. The nudity is just a very efficient way of removing the excuses — and from there, everything gets a little more real, a little more free, and a lot more connected. It's May, I'm in the garden, and I've got absolutely nothing on. Bliss. But the question I get asked more than any other is — "Yeah Asha, that's great… but what do you do in the WINTER?" So in this episode I'm answering it properly. We're talking saunas, snow angels, nude board games, cake, coffee, cooking with friends, and why winter might actually be my favourite time of year as a naturist. Oh — and why I also genuinely love getting dressed up. Because you absolutely can love fashion AND love being free of it. Come and have a listen. I think this one might surprise you. ☀️ Support the show Some conversations go a little further than what I share publicly. Let’s clear this up properly. What actually happens when both the therapist and client are nude? Is it awkward, sexual, or just… normal? I share real experiences from my work, explain how it works in practice, and why so many people misunderstand it. Support the show Some conversations go a little further than what I share publicly. I share the real story of how I became a naturist — from growing up on a Polish farm and discovering the human body through art, to meeting Trevor, visiting my first naturist resort, and eventually embracing naturism as a way of life. We talk about travelling to amazing naturist places around the world, from Croatia and Crete to Mallorca and the Big Nude Boat Caribbean cruise, plus what naturism has brought into our everyday lives. This is a warm, honest conversation about freedom, confidence, body acceptance, health, and why taking my clothes off changed far more than just what I wear. Yes, I said it. And no, I'm not embarrassed. I get asked this a lot. Usually with a slightly raised eyebrow and a nervous laugh.  In this episode I'm getting personal. I'm talking about what naturism actually is to me — not the clichés, not the naturist resort jokes — but the real, lived, daily practice of it. And why I genuinely believe it is one of the most quietly powerful things you can do for your health. Physical health, yes — but more than that, your mental health, your body image, your relationship with yourself, and even your sexuality. I'll walk you through how I actually live — what I eat, how I move, how I sleep, how I think about my body — and how naturism threads through all of it in ways I never could have predicted when I started out. This isn't a lecture. It isn't a sales pitch for getting your kit off. It's just me, being honest, about something I love deeply — and why I think more people would benefit from at least considering it. Come for the curiosity. Stay for the conversation. I'd love to know what you think — does any of this resonate? Have you tried naturism, or does the whole idea still make you want to hide behind a very large towel? Drop me a message. A slightly more personal episode this time. I step away from the usual topics and talk about how I ended up doing the work I do — from massage and bodywork to coaching and connection. I explore the idea of ikigai, what it feels like to find something that genuinely fits, and how naturism, touch, and real human connection shaped that path. If you’ve ever wondered what it means to feel aligned in your work — or how to find it — - or just want to understand me more - this one’s for you. Sleeping naked might sound like a lifestyle choice—but it’s actually rooted in biology. In this episode, Asha breaks down why ditching pyjamas can improve your sleep quality, support hormone balance, and even strengthen your relationships. From temperature regulation and deeper sleep cycles to skin health and reduced stress, the science is surprisingly clear: your body works better without layers at night. Asha also explores the often-overlooked benefits for couples, including the role of skin-to-skin contact in boosting oxytocin and emotional connection—without making it about sex. Relaxed, honest, and a little provocative, this episode challenges the way we think about comfort, routine, and our relationship with our own bodies—one night at a time. If you’ve ever struggled with sleep, felt disconnected, or simply wondered whether pyjamas are doing more harm than good… this might change your mind. Naked yoga. Clothes-free yoga. Naturist yoga. Call it what you like — today we're talking about it openly, honestly, and without a scrap of judgement. [laughs] In this episode, Asha unpacks what clothes-free yoga actually is, why it has absolutely nothing to do with sex, and why so many people find it quietly life-changing. From body confidence and mind-body connection to better sleep, stronger muscles, and genuine human community — the benefits might surprise you. Asha also shares how she runs her own intimate mid-week naturist yoga group at her spa in Kraków — just a cosy eight or so people, sometimes in a private secluded garden when the Polish sun cooperates — followed by a proper sauna session. Men, women, and couples all welcome. Whether you're curious, sceptical, or quietly tempted — this one's for you. Have you ever tried it? Would you? Is nudity really immoral… or have we just been taught to think that? In this episode of SlavicUncovered, I explore why so many people still link clothing with morality — and why that idea doesn’t hold up when you actually look at human behaviour. Drawing from personal experience in naturist environments, I share how removing clothes often reveals something far more important: how people truly treat each other. We look at how morality shifts across cultures and history, why media and tradition have shaped our assumptions, and why real decency has nothing to do with fabric. From naturist beaches to spa experiences, this episode breaks down the simple truth — bodies are neutral, behaviour is what matters. A calm, honest reflection on respect, kindness, and what it really means to have a moral backbone. Support the show Some conversations go a little further than what I share publicly. What really happens at a naturist spa? For many people the idea sounds mysterious, awkward, or even a little intimidating. In this episode, I take you behind the scenes of a real naturist wellness space and explain exactly what a typical visit is like — from arriving and changing, to relaxing in the sauna, enjoying massages, socialising with other guests, and understanding the simple etiquette that makes the atmosphere calm and respectful. Drawing on my experience running a naturist spa in Kraków, I explore the differences between clothed spas, clothing-optional environments, and fully naturist wellness spaces, and why many guests say they feel more relaxed and confident without clothing. We also answer some of the most common questions people ask before their first visit: Do people stare? How does modesty work? Is it awkward at first? And why do so many newcomers say the experience feels surprisingly normal? If you’ve ever been curious about naturism, body confidence, or the culture of social nudity, this episode offers an honest, friendly look at what naturist spa life is really like — and why it can be such a positive and relaxing experience. Thinking about trying naturism but not sure what actually happens when you arrive? In this episode, I share my own first experience visiting a naturist resort in Croatia with my partner and my sister, and the surprisingly helpful list of etiquette and expectations he gave me beforehand. At the time I thought, “This is obvious.” But over the years I realised it isn’t obvious at all - especially for people who have never experienced naturism before. Now that I run my own naturist spa, where we offer naturist massages and workshops for couples and individuals, I hear the same questions again and again: What is it like? Is it awkward? What do people do? What are the rules? So in this episode I walk through the 10 things you can expect when you try naturism for the first time - from the first few slightly nervous minutes, to the surprisingly relaxed atmosphere that most people discover very quickly. We talk about etiquette, respect, body confidence, why naturist environments are often much more comfortable than people imagine, and why so many first-time visitors end up wondering why they were ever nervous in the first place. If you’ve ever been curious about naturism - or you’re considering your first visit to a naturist spa, beach, or resort - this episode will help you know exactly what to expect. In the pilot episode of Slavic Uncovered, I introduce the heart of the series: an open, honest exploration of naturism as a lifestyle, told primarily from my perspective as a woman. I explain what naturism — or nudism — really is and clarify what it isn’t — not exhibitionism, not performance, and not automatically sexual. The series will share how my own journey began through simple experiences like sauna culture and time spent in nature, and how those moments gradually shifted my confidence and relationship with my body. For me, naturism became less about being seen and more about not hiding. The short first episode outlines what listeners can expect: short, 15-minute conversations about everyday naturist life, travel, spa culture and the emotional side of living naturally. The podcast will also explore themes such as intimacy, sensuality, relationships and self-acceptance; Some episodes will be solo reflections, while others will include guest perspectives. This series is an invitation to curiosity — not persuasion — and a space to rethink comfort, confidence and the human body.
