Description

Happily Murrayed is us - Conor and Joanna - chatting about our lives, our relationship, and everything that comes with it. From big life moments to the everyday chaos in between, we share the stuff that’s going on with us, the things we disagree on, and the moments that probably should’ve stayed private. We’re figuring things out as we go - balancing life with baby Alfie, building a home, busy work lives, and trying to keep some sense of normality along the way. It doesn’t always go to plan. This is a podcast about relationships - the good bits, the messy bits, and the moments that nearly break you. We don’t always remember things the same way, we don’t always agree, and we definitely don’t have all the answers… but we’ll give it a go. Each week, we also hear from you - your questions, your stories, your dilemmas - and react in the only way we know how: honestly, and usually with a bit of slagging. If you’re here for the chaos, relationship honesty, or just to feel a bit better about how you’re doing it, you’re in the right place. We Ate Our Way Around San Sebastián… Then Came Home to House-Move Chaos
2026/10/07
Three days eating their way around San Sebastián… then straight home to house-move chaos. Conor and Jo are back with their top three food spots, €2 beers and a long list of decisions they’d rather leave until later. The “retiree group” reunited with the Sextons, O’Mahonys and Healys for pintxos, cocktails and sea-urchin soup that wasn’t exactly Jo’s first choice with a hangover. Conor worried about Alfie from another country, while Jo insists a story is hilarious even as Conor questions whether it’s worth telling. Back home, Jo is ready to move in with or without windows, Conor has vetoed a piece of furniture, and even buying dishwasher tablets has become a debate. Plus, a sandwich comes with unwanted supervision, and the Murray v Cooper quiz takes a deeply unfair turn with a ten-point bonus question. Been to San Sebastián? Tell us which food spots we missed in the comments. And keep sending your spooky stories to the Murray Mailbag on Instagram for October. The Guards Saved Jo’s TikTok… Should She Be Worried?
2026/09/28
The official Garda TikTok account saved one of Jo’s videos. An accidental tap… or is she on a watch list? Jo has questions, and Conor isn’t helping. Meanwhile, a laundry dispute divides the room: Conor does the washing, Jo rewashes it, and neither is backing down. There are ghostly goings-on in the apartment, Conor’s childhood banshee checks and a listener story that gives everyone chills. The countdown to Derry is on, the September reset has unravelled, and Jo is refusing her golf forfeit. She also opens up about her mum’s dementia, her own fears and finding a balance between looking after yourself and enjoying life. Plus, the quiz rivalry continues and the Murray Mailbag asks: what’s the worst thing you’ve ever forgotten? Conor remembers hiding from Joe Schmidt, while the Murrays explain why they kept calling newborn Alfie “Archie”. Whose side are you on in the laundry argument? Tell us in the comments, and send your stories to the Murray Mailbag on Instagram. We’re Both Getting Trolled… Jo Has Some Thoughts
2026/09/21
Conor’s golf swing has upset the internet, and someone spotted Jo shopping and went home to send her a paragraph about her shoulder pads, her ego and her “Nike eyebrows”. Jo has a few thoughts. Meanwhile, Jo is convinced their apartment is haunted, Alfie gets his first haircut, and the September reset is going so well that the producers have staged an intervention. In the Murray Mailbag: the biggest lies you’ve told to get out of something. From faking an injury to getting caught on Sky Sports, some of you have taken your excuses considerably too far. We Went To Marbella Without Alfie… Was It Worth It?
2026/09/14
Conor and Jo are back from Marbella — although apparently not everything made it off the plane with them. 👀 This week, they settle a very important relationship question: if one person is carrying the passports, does that automatically make them Airport Dad and responsible for everyone’s luggage too? Conor also reports back from his first pro-am, the house finally starts looking like an actual home, and plans for hosting Christmas immediately descend into negotiations over gate codes and turkey sandwiches. Then Murray v Cooper returns. Jo takes on sport, Conor enters the world of fashion and pop culture, and one Sydney Sweeney question causes considerably more trouble than expected. There’s also another September Reset check-in before the Murray Mailbag asks: when did you realise you were completely comfortable in your relationship — and can couples ever become too comfortable? Farting etiquette, bathroom boundaries, shaved legs and several things Jo would simply rather never know about. What’s The Most Disgusting Thing Your Partner Does?
2026/09/07
Conor needs some space, Jo has a serious screen-time problem… and apparently some of your partners are absolutely disgusting. 🤢 This week, Conor and Jo reveal why life in their increasingly cramped apartment is pushing them towards Unhappily Murrayed, while the countdown to finally moving into their new house continues. Then things take a turn as they discover some of the most disgusting things people have caught their partners doing — from booger walls to fingernails being saved for later. You have been warned. The September Reset also hits its first major obstacle when Jo checks her screen time and discovers just how many hours of her week disappeared into social media. And in the Murray Mailbag: Jo reveals the drastic measures she once took after locking herself out of her student house, a listener wonders whether she should fly to Sicily for a holiday romance, and Conor and Jo tackle lazy partners, bad relationships and whether you should listen when everyone in your life tells you someone is wrong for you. We Gave Our Lives A Score Out Of 10... | September Life Audit
2026/08/31
September feels like a fresh start — so Conor and Jo are giving their lives a full audit. This week, they score themselves across four areas: Body, Mind, Home Life and Soul — and work out what actually needs to change. Things get slightly uncomfortable when they compare their phone screen time and discover Jo spent an average of 7 hours and 6 minutes a day on her phone the previous week, including nearly 14 hours on TikTok. 😳 Is it officially intervention time? They also get honest about how becoming parents has affected their relationship, why date nights and cooking together have disappeared, getting stronger and healthier, being more present around Alfie and the changes they want to make throughout September. Plus, Conor plans a mystery trip for Jo, there's an update from the house build, Jo wonders whether The Weeknd was harvesting her energy, and Conor reveals the one date he apparently cannot remember. 🎃 Join in with the Happily Murrayed September Reset and let us know what you're changing this month. What Does Your Partner Do That Drives You Mad?
2026/08/24
This week, Conor reports back from Ibiza, including party naps, questionable dancing and casually finding himself beside Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Meanwhile, Jo heads to London, does some serious damage at Bicester Village and finally lands a Topshop job years after repeatedly being turned down by them. We also launch Murray v Cooper — our new quiz designed to find out whether either of them can actually back up the things they confidently talk about every week. First up: Conor on pensions and Jo on the Rules of the Road. 🚗 Then it's over to the Murray Mailbag: "I love my partner, but I'll never understand why they..." Dishwashers. Chewing. Whistling. Being late. Toilet habits. Leaving doors open. Clothing tags. And yes, several immediate calls for divorce. Let us know the completely irrational thing your partner does that drives you mad. Should Couples Have Their Own Money?
2026/08/17
A missing diamond, secret runaway funds and one question that seriously divided the Murray household: should couples have their own money? This week, Jo reveals the panic of realising the diamond had disappeared from her ring mid-flight to Mallorca — and the small matter of whether Conor had actually insured it. 👀 Then it's over to the Murray Mailbag, where things get surprisingly heated. Should married couples combine everything? Should you always have money that's completely your own? If one partner earns more, should they have more spending money? And is keeping an emergency "runaway fund" just sensible? Plus, your answers to the most ridiculous thing your partner has ever spent money on — featuring unused golf memberships, Star Wars helmets, pedigree sheep, €100 worth of coffee beans for someone without a coffee machine… and a €7,000 watch. Elsewhere, Conor prepares for Ibiza with the best of intentions, Jo survives the Dublin Horse Show, and we discover an entirely new world of tiny horses.
