2026/10/02
On today's episode of Get IN. Sports, Dom Miranda sat down with Butler University running back Albert Kunickis III, who was born without his right hand and forearm and built his identity around grit, self-reliance, and "no excuses."   Kunickis describes growing up in Lemont, Illinois, learning confidence through everyday challenges, and using football to prove he could match anyone, feeling pressure to be perfect to avoid being doubted. Indiana High School Athletes Can Now Get Paid | Connor Glass, Church Church Hittle + Antrim
2026/09/18
On today's episode of Get IN. Sports, Dom Miranda sat down with attorney Connor Glass of Church, Church, Hittle + Antrim about NIL entering Indiana high school athletics after the IHSAA adopted new "personal/public branding activities" rules.   Glass explains Indiana is the 46th state to create an NIL framework and that deals must be independent of schools, with restrictions on using school gear, facilities, or achievements, plus reporting requirements and agent-notification rules.   They discuss enforcement challenges, fears of pay-for-play and increased transfers, risks from bad actors and agents, and the need for education and institutional buy-in as the landscape rapidly changes.   Glass predicts college athletes may become employees with unionization and possible football separation from the NCAA, while emphasizing NIL can also teach students business and financial lessons.   If you like this episode and want to hear more Get IN. How One Season Changed His Entire Coaching Career | Mike Uremovich, Ball State Football
2026/09/04
On today's episode of Get IN. Sports, Dom Miranda sat down with Ball State University head football coach Mike Uremovich to talk about his coaching journey and returning to the MAC.   Uremovich discusses growing up with northwest Indiana roots, attending Purdue, starting as a young high school assistant, and breaking into college coaching at Benedictine before earning a Northern Illinois GA role on a staff that included future prominent coaches and players like current University of Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck.   He remembers becoming a 28-year-old head coach at St. Francis (NAIA), then rising through NIU's Orange Bowl season with Jordan Lynch, NC State under Dave Doeren, and returning to NIU hoping to become head coach but being passed over.   After being fired at Temple amid portal and COVID challenges, he rebuilt Butler quickly using the transfer portal centered around Ivy League grads before taking the Ball State job, emphasizing staff continuity, delegation, roster management in the portal era, and preparing for games like Ohio State and Northwestern.   If you like this episode and want to hear more Get IN.
