In Luke 5, Simon Peter learns that Jesus knows far more than he could ever understand when Jesus calls him to let down his nets after a night of unsuccessful fishing. Through this miraculous catch, Peter discovers that Jesus not only has the power to meet his greatest needs, but also steps into his brokenness, pays the debt of his sin, and calls him into relationship and purpose. Like Peter, we are invited to trust the voice of Jesus even […] The post Let Down The Net first appeared on Cornerstone Church.

In this message from the Pathways series, we continue exploring what it means to Grow with the Church. In Romans 12:3–8, Paul reminds us to see ourselves clearly, know that we belong, and use what God has given us for the good of the whole. The church isn’t a place where our value is determined by how we compare to others. In Christ, we belong to one body, and each of us has something to contribute. We don’t serve to […] The post Contribute to the Body | Pathways first appeared on Cornerstone Church.

Following Jesus was never meant to be an isolated experience. In Acts 2:42-47, the early believers shared their devotion to Jesus, their resources, their lives, and their witness with one another. Their example shows us that the Church is more than a gathering we attend. It is a family in which we learn together, pray together, care for one another, and point others to Jesus. Following Jesus means sharing life with His people. The post Belong to the Church | Pathways first appeared on Cornerstone Church.

Discipleship is more than making a decision to follow Jesus. It is the ongoing process of learning to follow Him and helping others do the same. In 2 Peter 1:12–21, Peter knows his time is short, so he reminds believers of the truths that matter most: the truth of the gospel, the deity of Jesus Christ, and the inspiration of Scripture. In this message, missionary Earl Goodrich challenges us to continue growing in our own faith while intentionally praying for, […] The post Discipleship is Critical first appeared on Cornerstone Church.

Following Jesus is more than a decision we make. It’s a lifelong walk of remaining rooted in Him. In Colossians 2:6-8, Paul reminds believers that the Christian life doesn’t move beyond Jesus, but deeper into Him. Just as we received Christ Jesus as Lord, we continue by remembering our confession of faith, rooting our lives in Christ, and rejecting anything that competes with His Lordship. This message explores what it means to keep moving forward in our faith by remaining […] The post Continue to Walk with Jesus | Pathways first appeared on Cornerstone Church.

Life is a series of choices, but following Jesus begins with something even more important: His invitation. In Luke 5, Peter makes four life-changing choices—from lending Jesus his boat to leaving everything behind—but each decision is actually a response to Jesus taking the first step. This message launches our Pathways series by exploring what it means to begin walking with Jesus. Discover how Christ still calls ordinary people to trust Him, follow Him, and take their next step of faith. The post Choose to Walk with Jesus | Pathways first appeared on Cornerstone Church.
