Four Dynamics of the Will of God
2026/10/21
The Four Dynamics of the Will of God Psalm 33:6–22 This message explores four essential dynamics of God's will—His purposeful, permissive, providential, and prescriptive will—revealing how God's eternal purposes govern creation while His grace invites believers to participate in His work. Psalm 33 reminds us that God spoke the heavens into existence, and what He determines cannot be defeated, interrupted, or overthrown. His counsel stands forever, regardless of the plans, decisions, or opposition of fallen humanity. God's purposeful will is His perfect, unchanging, and unstoppable eternal plan. His permissive will allows humanity to make choices, even when those choices contradict His revealed desires. His providential will demonstrates His sovereign ability to govern, redirect, and overrule human plans so that His eternal purposes are never defeated. His prescriptive will is what He has graciously revealed through His Word, instructing His people how to live in fellowship with Him. Through this revealed will, God's grace is designed to guide us, govern us, and guard us, bringing our thoughts, desires, decisions, and relationships into agreement with His wisdom. The message emphasizes that spiritual maturity and completeness in Christ cannot be achieved through human effort or independent thinking. We need God's Word, His Spirit, and His grace continually working in us. Rather than merely asking God to bless our plans, we must yield ourselves to His purposes, trusting Him to establish His truth in our hearts and reveal the character of Jesus through our lives. This surrender also strengthens our fellowship with one another as we pray, serve, and encourage each other t
Christ Became a Curse for Us
2026/10/21
There is perhaps no other truth which is so hard to learn as is this; that trying to keep God's holy law will not bring you into favor with God. Instead, we read here, it brings a curse. By nature, most people just think that if they just become religious enough; if they will try their hardest to do and keep God's commandments, then surely God will honor their good intentions, and He will save them and bring them to heaven at the last. But the Apostle Paul has been showing us in this letter that it is utterly impossible for any person to save themselves from their sins, whether they are a Jew, or whether they are a Gentile. You can only be saved from your sins by faith in Jesus Christ. And the law is not of faith. Therefore, in these verses, we find Paul explaining for us how we are saved from our sins. 1st of all – Christ saves us by redeeming us from the curse of the Law having become a curse for us. And then, 2nd – Christ became a curse for us so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Let's look more deeply into these things together now, so that we might understand the greatness of what Christ has done for us.
906 Wise In His Own Conceit (Proverbs 26:12) Our Daily Greg
2026/10/20
A man "wise in his own conceit" is a man who thinks he knows it all and a man who is unteachable. But we all have to fight the tendency! Also Reference: (1 Timothy 1:1 and 2:3), (Titus 1:3, 2:10 and 3:4), (Jude 25) https://bbfohio.com
Judge With Righteous Judgment
2026/10/18
Will you believe upon Jesus Christ? Who do men say that He is? The world is no fan of Jesus Christ, you dare not listen to it regarding who they think Jesus is. You must not make shallow judgments regarding who He is, basing what you think on what the Government, your parents, friends or neighbors think. Judge with a righteous judgment, consider what He Himself says, and Who sent Him by picking up the Bible and reading for yourself, that believing you may have life in His name!
Are You Faithful?

The Apostle Paul addresses this letter to the faithful Brethren at Colossae. In thinking about those brethren, can you call yourself "faithful" as Paul called these? Listen and consider where you are in your walk with the Lord.
Elijah & The Prophets of Baal
2026/10/18
In this message I want us to think together about how Elijah went about to do this; how he confronted Ahab with the evil that he was doing. 1st of all – He straightforwardly showed Ahab that he and his fathers were responsible for all of the trouble in Israel. 2nd – He straightforwardly presented the case to Ahab and all the people that Baal was a false god. And 3rd – He straightforwardly proved to the people that only God is God by calling down fire from heaven. Let us see if we can learn from this marvelous demonstration of the power of God, how we might better learn how to confront evil in our society and generation as well.
God is Working - But Not the Way You Think

"Are You Going to Leave, Too?"
2026/10/18
This sermon explores the tension between human freedom and divine grace by examining why some disciples left Jesus while others remained, using the narrative in John chapter six as the central text. The message identifies three primary reasons for walking away: Jesus challenges cultural beliefs, He disappoints human expectations of a comfortable life, and He demands total dependence rather than self-sufficiency. In contrast, the sermon highlights Peter's confession as a model of staying, rooted in the realization that Jesus alone satisfies, the trustworthiness of His words even when misunderstood, and the certainty of His identity as the Holy One of God. Through personal testimony and theological reflection, the speaker encourages the congregation to examine their own convictions and reaffirm their commitment to follow Jesus, not because of circumstances, but because of the unchanging character of Christ. The tone is pastoral and challenging, inviting listeners to move from passive observation to active, trusting obedience.

How to Think About "Things"

Faithfulness in a Foreign Land
2026/10/18
Daniel's story begins with defeat: Jerusalem is besieged, sacred vessels are carried away, and young men are taken to Babylon. Yet beneath these unsettling events, a sovereign God remains, and His Word holds. In Daniel 1:1–7, we discover how Babylon sought to reshape its captives' thinking, loyalties, and identities. In this sermon, we explore what it means to trust God when circumstances suggest defeat, recognize the influences shaping our hearts, and remember that we belong to Him.
Keep In Perfect Peace

• Brother Dustin Wright connected trust with waiting for God's promises. God will swallow up death and wipe away tears (Isaiah 25:8). Though this promise is not yet fulfilled, it is certain. • Christian hope is not wishful thinking. It is confidence based on God's unfailing Word and His sustaining power throughout history. Since God's promises are trustworthy, believers can wait humbly and confidently. • The desire expressed in Isaiah 26:8–9 is for God Himself: "Your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul." Brother Dustin taught that the deepest satisfaction is knowing God and living so that others see His glory. • He connected this desire with Jesus' prayer, "Hallowed be Your name" (Matthew 6). To hallow God's name is to revere, honor, and glorify Him. Jesus perfectly honored the Father in all He said, thought, and did, and modeled a life aimed at the Father's will. • Brother Dustin warned that desiring anything more than God is covetousness and idolatry. Christians are to desire God supremely while still carrying out everyday responsibilities.

Joshua 13.1-6; Judges 1.27-36 The Conquest Continues

So, how did Jesus fulfill the book of Joshua? Was it just in a general way or was it specific? Think of all the ways some have misused Joshua, not seeing the fulfillment in all its beauty in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
