Eden Before Eve
2024/02/25
We resume our study of the Book of Genesis, stepping further into the second chapter to focus on the first interactions between God and his creation in the Garden of Eden.
Join with us as we "zoom in" on this part of God's creative story to find out about Eden as Adam, the first man, was introduced into the garden and the creation story in Genesis 2: 4 - 17.
Harassed and Helpless - Seeing What Jesus Saw
2024/02/18
Breaking from our series on the Book of Genesis, we visit the book or Matthew where Jesus has returned to Galilee and has started visiting each town, teaching in their synagogues of the good news of the coming kingdom, performing miracles and casting out demons in their midst.
Is this relevant to us today? Are there people that Jesus has compassion upon because they are harassed and helpless, and who he is calling us to reach out to? Please join with us as we have a special message from Matthew 9: 35 - 10: 1, entitled, "Harassed and Helpless: Seeing What Jesus Saw."
God's Rest
2024/02/11
The Biblical book of Gensis tells about how God spent 6 days on His creative activity, then declared it "good" and "very good". What did he do next? The Bible says that the Lord, the all-powerful Creator of everything, wrapped things up and took a day of rest.
Please join with us as we look at the reason for this rest, and the implications for our lives, in "Holy Rest" from Genesis 2: 1 - 3.
Why God Created People
2024/02/04
We have seen how God created the heavens and the earth, the light and dark, water and land, and then populated the land with plants and animals, and pronounced each, "Good." But next he went on to something with a higher purpose, that He proclaimed to be "Very good."
Join with us this week as we continue our Book or Genesis series, studying Genesis 1: 26 -31, where we find out, "Why God Created People".
Looking Back in Celebration; Looking Ahead in Anticipation
2024/01/28
While God doesn't need any of us to do what He desires, we learn in Genesis that we were created for fellowship with Him and it is His desire that we work with Him and He determines to work with us.
We pause this Sunday in our study of Genesis to look at the year gone by and to the year ahead. You are invited to join with us in our IBC Annual Celebration, in light of 1 Corinthians, 12: 4 - 7, with "Looking Back in Celebration; Looking Ahead in Anticipation."
Creation Design
2024/01/21
While God didn't have to tell us about how he created the universe and the world, He chose to do so at a very high level through Moses in the Biblical book of Genesis. What did He want us to know about this process through His sharing of the creation narrative?
Please join us this week in person or online as we continue our Book or Genesis series, with a look at the book of Genesis 1: 3 - 25, where we find that there was an important "Creation Design" that God is sharing with us.
God Created Everything
2024/01/14
We can struggle to understand the vastness of God's creative power. Many believe that creation began with some cosmic incident that caused matter and energy to be hurled across the universe, where at some juncture in eons the right conditions came together to form what we know as life and our world. Others believe that there is an intelligent creative force, but that this force is not knowable or just not reachable. But some believe that creation is the handiwork of a loving, caring Creator. Does the Bible have something to say about the nature of God and Creation?
Please join us this week as we look at the book of Genesis 1: 1 - 2, where we find that "God Created Everything" and explore what that means.

Introduction to the Book of Genesis
2024/01/07

Am I Growing?
2023/12/31
The end of the year provides an opportunity to look back over the year with perspective to consider what has been and ahead to the possibilities of the coming year. The apostle Peter would like to have us consider as well if we are on track in our spiritual growth.
Please join us to consider, "Am I Growing?", based on 1 Peter 1: 22 through 2: 3.
And He Will Be Called...Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace
2023/12/24
Please join with us as we celebrate the arrival of the Messiah with a very special Christmas Eve worship service for the whole family, based on the titles of the newborn King as outlined in Isaiah 9: 1 - 7.
Prince of Peace
2023/12/24
The final title Isaiah attributes to the Messiah, is that he will be the Prince of Peace. This may not have resonated well with those who were expecting Messiah to be a great military leader, but what can it mean for us today? Earthly kingdoms come and go, but what would a kingdom without end be like?
Please come and join with us as we explore the final attribute ascribed to the Messiah that suggests He will use His eternal might to bring about peace instead of conflict, in "His Name Will Be Called...Prince of Peace" in Isaiah 9: 1 - 7.
Everlasting Father
2023/12/17
Now that we've learned about how Jesus fulfills the prophetic title, "Might God," some might wonder how "Everlasting Father" applies to one who is also the Son. Can Jesus be both the Son of God and the Father? Are He and God the same person? And what about the everlasting part? Is this an eternal relationship?
You are invited to join with us in person or online as we explore another of the names of the Messiah that suggests Jesus is not only comes to us with the power of the mighty God, but also is prophesied to share the relational attributes of His Father, in "And He Will Be Called...Everlasting Father" in Isaiah 9: 1 - 7.
