IF JESUS FOLLOWED YOUR FACEBOOK
2026/10/18
IF JESUS FOLLOWED YOUR FACEBOOK.[Would He Recognize You as One of His Followers?] Matthew 5:14–16; Luke 19:10 KJV Would Jesus have a Facebook page? Scripture doesn't answer that question—but it does show us that Jesus went where people were to seek and save the lost. Today, millions gather every day in a digital world. In this message, we as Christians need to examine what our posts, comments, conversations, and online conduct say about the Savior they claim to follow. Social media is only a tool; the heart determines how it is used. The greater question isn't whether Jesus would have Facebook, but: If Jesus looked at mine, would He recognize me as one of His followers?
The Lord's Anointed
2026/10/18
This sermon explores Psalm 2 as a divine proclamation of the futility of human rebellion against God's appointed King. It identifies Jesus Christ as the sole fulfillment of the psalm's prophecies, emphasizing his eternal sonship, universal dominion, and the victory achieved through his resurrection. The message contrasts the madness of resisting divine authority with the wisdom of submitting to Christ, who offers perfect refuge and true blessedness. Listeners are urged to recognize the security found in being united with the victorious King, who has conquered sin and death. The sermon concludes with a pastoral call to serve the Lord with reverent joy, trusting in his unchanging sovereignty and gracious provision for his people.

The Savior Appears
2026/10/18
This sermon examines the baptism and temptation of Jesus in Mark 1:9-13, presenting three key aspects of His coming that demand total devotion. First, Jesus fulfills the Old Testament expectations and the preaching of John the Baptist by arriving as the promised Messiah from Nazareth. Second, He is approved by heaven, as the Father declares Him the beloved Son and the Spirit descends upon Him, anointing Him for ministry. Third, He passes every test in the wilderness, demonstrating His perfect righteousness and identifying with humanity's struggles without sin. The preacher emphasizes that these events reveal Jesus as the unique Savior who satisfies all needs for redemption, compelling believers to place their complete trust in Him.

Isaiah (28): God's Judgement on Jerusalem
2026/10/18
The sermon examines Isaiah 22, contrasting God's impending judgment on Jerusalem with the promise of a faithful servant who typifies Christ. It highlights the tragic response of the people, who ignored the warning of Babylonian invasion and instead relied on their own strength and the corrupt steward Shebna, embodying a hedonistic unbelief summarized by the phrase, "let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die." In contrast, God raises up Eliakim, whose name means "God will establish," serving as a type of Jesus Christ who holds the key of the house of David and provides a secure place for the soul. The message urges listeners to recognize that true repentance involves turning from self-reliance and idols to trust wholly in Christ, the ultimate peg in a secure place who upholds all who believe in Him.
AT THE GATES OF HADES | Matthew 16:13–18
2026/10/18
Why did Jesus choose the region of Caesarea Philippi, near Mount Hermon and its pagan sanctuaries, to ask His disciples, "Who do you say that I am?" Join Pastor Brandon Holthaus as we examine Peter's confession of Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the living God, and Christ's declaration: "I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Explore the region's connections to pagan worship, ancient Jewish traditions concerning spiritual rebellion, and the significance of Jesus announcing His church in this setting. Discover how Christ's identity, the church's foundation, and His authority over death give believers confidence amid spiritual opposition. The church belongs to Jesus Christ—and neither the power of death nor the dominion of darkness can defeat His purposes.
I Know
2026/10/18
This sermon examines the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, highlighting how human distractions regarding race, religion, and social status often obscure the recognition of Christ's identity. The central message emphasizes that while worldly pursuits and external questions about worship and source remain unsatisfying, Jesus offers the gift of living water that permanently satisfies the soul's inward thirst. The text focuses on the woman's declaration of certainty regarding the coming Messiah, contrasting her initial confusion with the revelation that Jesus is the one who will explain all things. The tone is pastoral and convicting, urging listeners to abandon their distractions and accept Jesus as the Savior who meets them exactly where they are, leading to a call for personal prayer and commitment.

Paul's Burden for Israel
2026/10/18
In Romans 9:1-5, the apostle Paul expresses his burden for the lost condition of most of his fellow Jews, and his intense desire for their salvation, to the extent that he would be willing to bear their punishment if they could be redeemed. Knowing that the Lord Jesus is the only sacrifice for sin, his heart for the Israelites forms a compassionate foundation for considering this question: "Why have only a few Jews received Jesus as their Messiah and have been saved from the penalty of sin?" Throughout chapters 9, 10 and 11, Paul addresses that question, explaining that salvation has never been a matter of family lineage or religious experience, but purely based on the mercy of God in drawing lost sinners to faith. He reaches a climax in chapter 11, proclaiming that God has not rejected His people, Israel, and that all His chosen remnant from among the Jews will be saved by grace through faith, the way it has always been. We Gentiles will join with them in praising God for His mercy!
