Believing That Is Becoming
2026/10/20
Believing That Is Becoming 1 Corinthians 2–3 | Jeremiah 32:38–40 This message emphasizes that genuine faith in Jesus is more than believing something about Him; it is a believing that is continually becoming more like Him. Our believing affects our behavior, and our behavior reveals whether we're being led by the Spirit of God or governed by the desires of our flesh. Paul confronted the believers at Corinth because, although they had received the gospel and the wisdom of God, their jealousy, strife, and divisions exposed their spiritual immaturity. They were placing their confidence in gifted servants rather than recognizing that Paul, Apollos, and Peter were merely instruments through whom God was working. The servants planted and watered, but God gave the increase. The message reminds us that God has given us His Word and His Spirit, not merely to increase our knowledge, but to transform our lives. His wisdom teaches us to depend upon Him rather than our own understanding, producing humility, patience, purity, love, and a willingness to serve others without competition or offense. When we're Spirit-led, even life's difficulties and relationships become opportunities for God to accomplish His good purpose in us—conforming us to the image of Jesus. Drawing from Jeremiah 32:38–40, the message reveals God's desire to give His people one heart and one way, placing His fear within them so they will continually walk with Him. This reverence produces a lifestyle of dependence that blesses not only us but also those who come after us. Ultimately, the great evidence of our believing is who and what we're becoming. When we receive God's Word, yield to His Spirit, and trust Je
God's Grace for Dogs
2026/10/18
The sermon examines the encounter between Jesus and the Syrophoenician woman to illustrate the superabundance of God's grace and the nature of saving faith. It highlights how Jesus affirms the priority of Israel in the dispensation of the gospel while simultaneously demonstrating that His love extends beyond ethnic boundaries to include the Gentiles. The preacher contrasts the woman's humble acknowledgment of her uncleanliness with the self-righteousness of the scribes, emphasizing that true faith approaches Christ with an empty and broken hand rather than relying on outward ritual purity. This passage serves as a pastoral reminder that God's supply of mercy is inexhaustible, inviting believers to rely entirely on His character rather than their own worthiness. The tone is both instructional and comforting, urging the congregation to maintain a special regard for Israel while celebrating their own inclusion in God's redemptive plan.
Wisdom Is Calling
2026/10/18
Wisdom is calling, but are we listening? In Proverbs 8:1–11, Solomon presents wisdom as a voice that actively seeks our attention, offering God's perspective for the decisions we face every day. Wisdom is not reserved for the educated, the spiritually mature, or a select few. It calls to everyone, offering guidance in our relationships, finances, families, and daily lives. Yet wisdom is often ignored, not because it is unavailable, but because we fail to listen, diligently seek it, and value God's instruction above our own desires.
1 Timothy 5

Confidence in a Confused World
2026/10/18
The sermon emphasizes the necessity for the church to maintain spiritual vigilance and purity, particularly in the aftermath of a revival experience. Drawing primarily from Ephesians 5, the message argues that God values the holiness of the bride of Christ over her fruit, urging believers to remain without spot or blemish. The text uses the narrative of Achan and Joshua to illustrate how individual sin and a lack of prayer can jeopardize the entire congregation, while also warning against false teachers who cause division and serve their own interests. By citing examples of apostasy and false prophecy, the speaker encourages the congregation to rely on the Holy Spirit for discernment and to continue seeking God's face through prayer to sustain the work of the Spirit.
I Will Sing of Mercy and Judgment
2026/10/18
The sermon explores Psalm 101 as a declaration of personal commitment to live in obedience and purity before God, framing the psalm's 'I will' and 'I will not' statements as a call to holy conduct in daily life. It emphasizes that true worship involves aligning one's heart and actions with God's character, rejecting wickedness, gossip, and deceit while embracing mercy and justice. The message connects David's royal responsibilities to the believer's duty to steward their household and influence, urging a deliberate separation from sin and a close fellowship with those who fear the Lord. Through illustrations of discipline, temptation, and the consequences of compromise, the text argues that a life of integrity is not accidental but requires constant vigilance and reliance on God's grace. Ultimately, the sermon points to Christ as the perfect example of obedience who fulfills the law on behalf of believers, offering hope and motivation for a life set apart for God's glory.
24 2 Timothy lesson 9 end
2026/10/18
This lesson examines 2 Timothy 2:19, emphasizing that the firm foundation of God remains immovable despite the presence of false teaching within the church. The discussion highlights the theological distinction between positional truth, where believers are raised with Christ, and the future bodily resurrection, correcting the errors of those who deny the latter. The 'seal' of God is presented as a guarantee of ownership and authenticity, assuring believers of their security without the need for self-effort. Consequently, those who claim the name of the Lord are called to abstain from wickedness, which is defined as stepping away from unsound doctrine to maintain the purity of the body. The sermon concludes with the assurance that God's faithfulness, not human understanding, secures the believer's standing.

A Sacrifice Pleasing to God
2026/10/18
How can sinful people draw near to a holy God? In Leviticus 1, God graciously provides the burnt offering—a substitute whose death makes atonement so the worshiper may be accepted before Him. This sacrifice ultimately points us to Christ, whose perfect sacrifice secures our acceptance with God and calls us to respond by offering our whole lives to Him.
Turn Your Eyes on Jesus
2026/10/18
"Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body." (1 Cor 11:27-29, NKJV)
A City Without Walls
2026/10/18
Brother Trever Arnold of Calvary Baptist Church in Evening Shade, AR, preaches from Proverbs 25:28 about the danger of living without spiritual boundaries. Drawing from Ezra 9:1-2 and Jerusalem's broken walls, he urges believers to examine the influences they allow into their lives and measure them by the word of God. Salvation rests on what Jesus Christ has done, and those who know Him are called to guard their hearts and walk in holiness. This Preaching Power Radio message calls Christians to put away worldly influences and make room for God's work in their lives.
Five “ALWAYS” of The Revived (Part 3)
2026/10/16
Five "ALWAYS" of The Revived (Part 3) Bridge Builders, Seed Planters, and Servants of the King This message explores five occurrences of the word "always" in 2 Corinthians, revealing the characteristics of a life walking in revival, governed by the grace of God, and devoted to making Jesus known. Beginning with Proverbs 22:17–21, the message emphasizes the importance of inclining our ears to God's wisdom, applying our hearts to His truth, and keeping His Word upon our lips so that our trust in Him continually grows. God teaches us not merely to increase our knowledge, but to establish our confidence in His promises and equip us to give His truth away to others. The five always reveal that God always leads us in triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14); we are always carrying the dying of Jesus so His life may be manifested through us (4:10–11); we are always confident in His promises (5:6); we are always rejoicing, even in sorrow (6:10); and His grace supplies our sufficiency for every good work (9:8). These truths demonstrate that genuine revival isn't determined by favorable circumstances, human approval, or material abundance, but by a continual dependence upon Jesus and faithful obedience to His Word. Through illustrations of bridges, apple seeds, Gideon's clay vessels, and Paul and Silas rejoicing in prison, the message reminds believers that they are bridge builders, seed planters, and servants of the King. God uses ordinary, fragile people to carry His extraordinary message, planting gospel truth that produces fruit in His appointed seasons. And regardless of hardship, opposition, or misunderstanding, His people are called to serve with purity, kindness, sincere
Life Before Christ, Life With Christ
2026/10/15
This sermon examines the radical transformation that occurs when a believer is saved, contrasting the spiritual condition of the unbeliever with the new life in Christ. Drawing from Ephesians 4, the teaching highlights the total depravity of the natural man, characterized by a darkened mind, a hardened heart, and a life of sensuality and greed. In contrast, the believer is called to walk in a manner worthy of their divine calling, having learned Christ through the teaching of the Holy Spirit. The central message emphasizes that the Christian life is not merely an improvement of the old self but a complete renewal of the mind and spirit, resulting in a life marked by righteousness and holiness. The tone is instructional and pastoral, urging listeners to recognize their dependence on God's grace and to actively pursue personal purity as the foundation for true church unity.
Stop Believing Every Spirit
2026/10/15
This sermon emphasizes the biblical imperative for believers to exercise spiritual discernment by testing all teachings against the truth of Scripture. Drawing from 1 John 4, the message identifies the correct confession of Jesus Christ's incarnation as the primary test for distinguishing the Spirit of God from the spirit of error. The exposition addresses contemporary theological errors, including Gnosticism, liberal theology, and easy believism, urging the congregation to reject doctrines that compromise the deity of Christ or the sufficiency of His atonement. While acknowledging the prevalence of false prophets in the world, the sermon offers comfort by affirming that the indwelling Holy Spirit enables true believers to overcome deception. The tone is both cautionary and encouraging, calling the church to be alert to doctrinal purity while trusting in God's preservation of His people.
2 Corinthians 10-11 Study
2026/10/14
The sermon examines Paul's defense of his apostolic ministry against false teachers who promoted a mixed message of law and grace. It emphasizes the importance of measuring one's spiritual walk by God's specific calling rather than comparing oneself to others, urging believers to remain in the place where God has placed them. The text highlights the necessity of glorifying the Lord in all ministry efforts and warns against the subtle corruption of the gospel's simplicity by adding human requirements. Paul's godly jealousy for the Corinthian believers is presented as a protective fatherly love, aiming to preserve their purity for Christ. Ultimately, the message calls for a reliance on God's commendation rather than self-praise, trusting that the final judgment of a life is based on faithfulness to the divine call.
