Training the Heart
2026/10/19
Why are the Rod and Reproof so necessary? Proverbs 29:1–15 looks forward to the midweek sermon. In these fifteen verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that the rod and reproof are means that God uses to conform a child to Christ. The devotional explores the divine purpose behind parental discipline, explaining that the combination of verbal rebuke and physical correction is essential for training a child to receive God's Word. It contrasts the tragic trajectory of a child left to himself, who hardens his heart and harms self and others, with the wisdom cultivated through consistent, loving correction. The text emphasizes that this discipline is not an end in itself but serves the rebuke, which is a means of grace by which Christ brings the child to repentance and faith in Himself. The message urges parents to trust in God's sovereignty to use these instruments for the spiritual formation of their children, lest they end up in themselves rather than in Christ and like Christ.

There's a Better Way
2026/10/18
This sermon explores the central theme that God's way offers a superior path to life and godliness compared to the self-directed pursuits of the world. Drawing primarily from Proverbs chapter one, the message emphasizes that wisdom shapes perception, allowing individuals to view life from God's perspective rather than through the limited lens of human desire. The text highlights the importance of receiving instruction to make just decisions and treat others with equity, particularly encouraging young people to heed the counsel of their parents and mentors. It contrasts the painful consequences of rejecting divine reproof with the promise of safety, peace, and protection for those who submit to God's guidance. The sermon concludes with a call to be doers of the word, urging listeners to actively live out God's plan to experience true fulfillment and blessing.
Reproving the Works of Darkness
2026/10/18
What does it mean to walk as children of light? In Ephesians 5:6–16, we learn why Christians are called not only to reject the works of darkness but also to reprove them in love. Having received Christ's gospel-centered love, believers are called to live differently from the world. This sermon explains why sin must be reproved, not with pride or condemnation, but with a redemptive desire to expose its emptiness and shame and point others toward Christ. Biblical reproof is part of loving one another, restoring fellow believers, and guiding the lost to the light of the gospel.
Does God Get Angry with His Children (True Believers)?
2026/10/18
Has modern Christianity created a version of God who never gets angry with His own children? In an age when biblical masculinity, fatherly authority, and accountability are increasingly under attack, even our understanding of God's character has been distorted. Modern psychology and feminism have helped undermine the biblical role of fathers, while popular religious teaching often portrays God as a Father who is never angry with His children, regardless of their disobedience. But what does the Bible actually teach? Scripture commands, "Be ye angry, and sin not" (Ephesians 4:26). There is sinful anger, but there is also righteous anger. This message examines how much of today's parenting substitutes repeated threats, frustration, yelling, and uncontrolled anger for consistent biblical discipline. God's pattern of the rod and reproof, administered calmly and lovingly, teaches children to obey without endless arguments and threats, bringing peace and rest to the home. Yet there are also times when anger itself is justified, provided it remains governed by righteousness. And what about our heavenly Father? The Scriptures repeatedly reveal that God became angry with His own people. Paul specifically tells New Testament believers that these Old Testament accounts were written as warnings for US! From Israel's rebellion in the wilderness to the solemn warnings of Hebrews, Corinthians, and the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Bible presents a sobering truth: God's love does not mean He is indifferent to the sins of His children. But the message does not end with God's anger. There is a wonderful difference between God's temporary displeasure and His everlasting covenant love!
A Wholesome Tongue
2026/10/18
The sermon explores the profound impact of speech on spiritual life, anchoring the discussion in Proverbs 15 and James 3. It emphasizes that a wholesome tongue acts as a tree of life, while perverseness breaks the spirit, urging believers to align their words with divine wisdom rather than worldly impulses. The message highlights the necessity of receiving reproof and correction, noting that a fool despises instruction while a prudent person embraces it for growth. By connecting the heart's condition to the mouth's output, the teaching asserts that God desires a transformed heart that yields a cheerful countenance and a life of righteousness. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a reliance on Scripture over personal opinion, encouraging a community that speaks life, accepts correction, and seeks the peace that comes from above.

DON'T JUST START THE RACE— FINISH FAITHFUL!
2026/10/16
DON'T JUST START THE RACE— FINISH FAITHFUL! 2 Timothy 4:6–8 KJV The Apostle Paul approached the end of his earthly life with three powerful declarations: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."I want to examine three essential goals for every Christian: fighting the spiritual battle through Christ's strength, faithfully FINISHing the course God has assigned, and holding fast to the truth of God's Word.Drawing from Paul's final testimony, the message reminds believers that Christian faithfulness is not measured merely by how enthusiastically we begin, but by our continued obedience to Jesus Christ.I want to encourages weary believers, challenges those who have grown spiritually distracted, and points the lost to salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.God has not called us merely to begin the Christian life. He has called us to fight faithfully, FINISH the course He has given us, and hold fast to the faith until we meet Jesus.

Study Your Bible Correctly! (Part 1)
2026/10/11
This sermon instructs believers on the necessity of diligent Bible study to show themselves approved unto God, emphasizing that such study is a form of labor rather than a casual activity. The speaker argues that the primary motive for study should be spiritual approval and defense against heresy, rather than the desire to win arguments or impress others. By rightly dividing the Word of Truth, Christians can distinguish between Old Testament law and New Testament grace, using Scripture for doctrine, reproof, and instruction in righteousness. The message further asserts the King James Bible as the preserved and infallible final authority, rejecting the notion of copyist errors in favor of God's direct preservation of His Word. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a balanced life where engagement with God's Scripture outweighs the distraction of social media, ensuring believers are not ashamed at the judgment seat of Christ.

Proverbs - Chapter 5 (Part 1)
2026/10/07
This sermon examines Proverbs 5, focusing on the warning against the 'strange woman' as a symbol of deceptive influence and spiritual apostasy. It highlights Solomon's personal experience with this temptation, urging listeners to regard discretion so that their lips may keep true knowledge rather than succumbing to smooth talk. The text contrasts the initial sweetness of such deception with its ultimate bitterness, describing a path that leads to destruction and the loss of honor. The message emphasizes the importance of removing oneself from harmful influences and heeding divine instruction to avoid the regret of having despised reproof. Ultimately, it calls for a life guided by wisdom and obedience to God's word to prevent the decay of one's character and future.
