Built Upon the Rock
2026/10/18
Matthew 7:21-27 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

And God Remembered Noah
2026/10/18
If God forgets nothing, what does it mean that "God remembered Noah" (Genesis 8:1)? Read Exodus 2:24 and ask whether God's remembering is a memory brought back or His mercy put into action toward His own. Then ask why the same verse names "every living thing, and all the cattle" (Genesis 8:1) beside Noah. "And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;" (Genesis 8:1)

All These Things Happened Unto Them for Ensamples
2026/10/18
The teaching presents a comprehensive overview of biblical history, structured around the recurring cycle of divine mercy, human apostasy, and subsequent judgment. It traces this pattern from the creation and fall of man through the patriarchal age, the Jewish age, and into the current Gentile church age, highlighting key events such as the Flood, the Exodus, and the Reformation. The speaker emphasizes that these historical accounts serve as admonitions for believers, illustrating God's consistent character and the necessity of trusting in Christ's atoning work. By contrasting the limited revelation of past generations with the fullness of the New Testament, the message urges listeners to recognize their unique privilege and accountability. The tone is both comforting regarding God's faithfulness and convicting regarding the urgency of repentance before the final judgment.
Luke 11:29-32 & Jonah 1:17-2:9 - What Death Looks Like
2026/10/18
When the crowds were increasing, he began to say, "This generation is an evil generation. It seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah. For as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here. The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. Jonah 1:17-2:9 And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, saying, "I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice. For you cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the flood surrounded me; all your breakers and your waves passed over me. Then I said, 'I am driven away from your sight; yet I shall again look upon your holy temple.' The waters closed in over me to take my life; the deep surrounded me; weeds were wrapped about my head. To the roots of the mountains I went down, to the land whose bars closed upon me forever. Yet you brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God. When my life was fainting away, I remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple.....

DC Gospel Outreach Report & Future Vision
2026/10/12
Every second that passes, every hour that elapses, every flip of the calendar puts us closer to the time of the Lord's return or to our appointment with death. According to the CDC, one death occurs in the United States every 10 seconds. By the time you finish listening to this 54-minute program, 324 people will have been ushered into eternity. Some recognize their present health condition reveals there is not much time left. For others, death comes by total surprise due to an auto collision, a heart attack, an aneurism, a freak accident or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We just don't know when our appointment with death will occur. This is what compels believers in Christ to share the Gospel. Such is the case for our guest on this edition of Crosstalk who became burdened for our nation's capital, Washington D.C. This past January we first introduced you to the DC Gospel Outreach, an organized plan to blanket our nation's capital this summer with the Gospel as tourists flooded into the city, marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. We asked you to pray…we asked you to go…we asked you to consider a gift and several responded in a variety of ways. Now all these months later we invited our guest back and he provided listeners with a very encouraging report on what happened with the DC Gospel Outreach. That guest is Dr. Alton Beal, the executive director of DC Gospel Outreach. He's also an evangelist and president of Ambassador Baptist College which trains men and women for full-time Christian service. More Information DC Gospel Outreach 104 – 1 N. By Faith Noah Moved
2026/10/11
Noah stands as an example of living by faith to people today. Noah lived in a time when the whole world had been given over to violence and wickedness. But God showed grace to Noah, calling him to build an ark to the saving of his household.
The Longsuffering Of God
2026/10/11
This sermon explores the divine attribute of long-suffering, defining it as God's deliberate restraint of judgment to allow time for repentance rather than a sign of weakness or approval of sin. By distinguishing mercy from patience and citing examples such as King Manasseh and the pre-flood era, the message illustrates the extensive reach and purposeful nature of God's forbearance toward both the lost and His own people. The preacher warns against presuming upon this patience, emphasizing that while God's door of grace remains open, it is not without limit or consequence. Consequently, believers are called to respond with immediate repentance and to reflect this communicable attribute in their own lives by exercising patience in relationships, service, and suffering. The sermon concludes by challenging the church to counter a culture of impatience by embodying the slow-to-anger character of God.
Blessing Noah III
2026/10/11
This sermon examines the post-flood blessings in Genesis 9, focusing on God's renewal of the mandate for human dominion and the provision of sustenance. The speaker argues that God instills a healthy fear in the animal kingdom to protect humanity, a blessing rooted in divine sovereignty rather than mere biological instinct. Furthermore, the text highlights God's generosity in expanding the human diet to include animal flesh, contrasting this with the original vegetarian provision in Eden. The discussion addresses the theological legitimacy of consuming meat, refuting false teachings that impose dietary restrictions as spiritual requirements. Ultimately, the sermon encourages believers to view all food as a good gift from God, to be received with thanksgiving and prayer.
Matthew 24:36-44 - The Day and Hour - Pastor Casey Lewis
2026/10/11
When will Jesus Christ return? What did He mean when He said that no one knows the day or hour? And who is taken and who is left behind in Matthew 24? In Matthew 24:36-44, Pastor Casey Lewis continues through the Olivet Discourse, examining Jesus' teaching about the unknown timing of His Second Coming, the days of Noah, and the sudden separation that will occur when Christ returns. Jesus warns that no one knows the day or hour of His return—not even the angels of heaven. Pastor Casey examines what Jesus meant when He said "nor the Son," considering Christ's divine and human natures, His earthly ministry, and the doctrine of the Trinity. The sermon then explores Jesus' comparison between His return and the days of Noah. Just as the flood came unexpectedly while people continued their ordinary lives, the return of Christ will be sudden, visible, and accompanied by judgment. But what about the two men in the field and the two women at the mill, where one is taken and the other left? Pastor Casey considers the popular Rapture interpretation associated with dispensational premillennialism and Left Behind, then explains why he believes those taken are taken in judgment, while those left are preserved. He examines the context of Noah's flood, the Parable of the Weeds, the Parable of the Net, and Luke 17. Ultimately, Jesus' message is not an invitation to predict the date of His return, but a command to stay awake, be ready, and live faithfully for Christ.
And the LORD Shut Him In
2026/10/11
Who shut the door of the ark, Noah or the LORD, and what was left for the men outside when it closed? Read Luke 13:25 and ask what the master of the house says to those who stand without and knock: "I know you not whence ye are" (Luke 13:25). Then ask whether the men who had watched the ark built for all those years thought anything had changed that day. "And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in." (Genesis 7:16)
