A Wholesome Tongue
2026/10/18
The sermon explores the profound impact of speech on spiritual life, anchoring the discussion in Proverbs 15 and James 3. It emphasizes that a wholesome tongue acts as a tree of life, while perverseness breaks the spirit, urging believers to align their words with divine wisdom rather than worldly impulses. The message highlights the necessity of receiving reproof and correction, noting that a fool despises instruction while a prudent person embraces it for growth. By connecting the heart's condition to the mouth's output, the teaching asserts that God desires a transformed heart that yields a cheerful countenance and a life of righteousness. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a reliance on Scripture over personal opinion, encouraging a community that speaks life, accepts correction, and seeks the peace that comes from above.

Serve Him In Truth
2026/10/11
The sermon explores the command to serve the Lord in truth with all one's heart, contrasting genuine devotion with mere compliance. Using the story of Jonah and Israel's demand for a king as illustrations, the message highlights how a lack of proper reverence and a failure to remember God's past faithfulness lead to insincere obedience. The text emphasizes that true service requires a stable, wholehearted commitment rooted in the fear of the Lord and a recognition of His worthiness. Listeners are encouraged to examine their own attitudes, moving from grudging duty to cheerful, consistent devotion in their daily lives. The sermon concludes with an invitation for unsaved individuals to accept Jesus as their Savior to begin this journey of wholehearted service.

Faith Promise Giving
2026/10/04
This message explores the theological and practical dimensions of faith promise giving, defining it as a generous, sacrificial, and cheerful response to God's ownership of the believer's life. By examining passages from Proverbs, Acts, and the Pauline epistles, the message emphasizes that true wealth is found in investing in the spread of the gospel rather than accumulating material possessions. Listen along as Brother Jeff Hallmark illustrates the concept of 'compound interest' in ministry, where the support of missionaries leads to further evangelistic fruit and spiritual joy for the giver. The teaching encourages every church member, regardless of financial status, to participate in this orderly and consistent habit of giving, trusting that God will supply their needs and bless their efforts. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a heart of humble surrender and a commitment to worldwide evangelism through the collective resources of the local church.

When you become a Christian and follow Jesus, take your ease, sit back, relax and enjoy the show, right?? Wrong!!! Learn that the Bible teaches we are to work, work hard, and work some more. Opposite what we've heard from popular culture. But remember, the rewards will be great, if not in this life then the next.
The People Contribute to God's Dwelling
2026/10/04
The willing heart is still prized in God's sight today just as it was when the Tabernacle was being built. Your tithes, offerings, and free-will contributions to the Kingdom should come from a willing, cheerful, grateful heart because of God's grace and love for you.
Principles To Prepare For Giving
2026/09/30
Are you prepared to give? 2 Corinthians 9 teaches us that biblical giving is not about guilt, obligation, or simply giving money, but about having the right heart and understanding why we give. We give because God first gave to us, and when we give cheerfully, faithfully, and according to His Word, we have the opportunity to see God's power, meet needs, encourage others, and ultimately point back to His greatest gift: Jesus Christ.
A Cheerful Giver
2026/09/29
New Testament giving is not driven by obligation, but by love, trust, and a heart that wants to honor God. This message from 2 Corinthians 8–9 shows how generous giving strengthens believers, enriches the giver spiritually, meets the needs of others, and ultimately brings glory to Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Gifts in Action
2026/09/27
This sermon explores the spiritual gifts outlined in Romans 12, emphasizing that the church functions as a unified body of Christ where each member has a distinct role. The teaching distinguishes between the gifts of prophecy (preaching) and teaching, clarifying that while both rely on Scripture, preaching motivates decision and change whereas teaching imparts knowledge and understanding. It further defines the gifts of exhortation, giving, ruling (administration), and mercy, illustrating how each contributes to the health and efficiency of the church community. The message warns against pride and individualism, urging believers to recognize their specific callings while maintaining humility and cooperation. Through practical illustrations, such as a vehicle breakdown, the sermon demonstrates how these diverse gifts work together seamlessly to overcome challenges and serve the Lord with diligence and cheerfulness.
Rich Poverty
2026/09/27
This sermon examines the counter-cultural nature of Christian generosity by contrasting the impoverished churches of Macedonia with the wealthier church in Corinth. It argues that true giving flows not from financial surplus but from the grace of God, which transforms deep poverty and affliction into abundant joy and self-sacrificial love. The central theological anchor is the incarnation, where Christ, though rich, became poor to make believers rich in spiritual blessings, establishing the motive for giving as gratitude rather than obligation. The message challenges the assumption that generosity is reserved for the wealthy, urging believers to surrender their hearts to the Lord first so that their financial support becomes a natural overflow of their faith. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a sincere, cheerful response to the needs of the church, reflecting the single-hearted simplicity of the Macedonian believers.
2 Corinthians 9 (2 Cor. 9 – Gal. 2)
2026/09/20
This summary surveys 2 Corinthians 9–13, and introduces Galatians. Second Corinthians 9 is considered more closely exploring the biblical mandate for cheerful and generous giving, grounded in the context of Paul's defence of his apostolic authority in 2 Corinthians. The central message emphasises that Christian generosity is not a grudging obligation but a joyful response to the grace of God, reflecting the character of Christ who gave richly for salvation. The text highlights that such liberality serves the needs of the saints and results in abundant thanksgiving to God, demonstrating the truth of the gospel in the lives of believers. While acknowledging the need for wisdom to avoid exploitation, the summary urges a default posture of an open hand and a charitable spirit. Thus we are encouraged to cultivate a heart of gratitude and readiness to give, thereby glorifying God through their obedience and sharing.
Biblical Stewardship, Contentment, and the Eternal Portfolio
2026/09/20
• Prioritize corporate worship giving as first-fruits—cheerful, intentional, aligned with gospel mission. • Audit formative "money classroom" influences; confess anxiety/presumption; re-anchor trust in God's sovereignty. • Use budgets and diligence as second causes under God's first cause—to serve faithfulness, not self-sufficiency. • Evaluate spending/giving by eternal criteria: does this cultivate worship, love of neighbor, and kingdom witness? • Practice learned contentment: resist the "more" narrative by setting sufficiency thresholds and generosity goals. • Identify one tangible action this week to align a budget/checking account with heavenly treasure (restore a generosity line item, support a ministry, host a neighbor).
