Trust in the Living God
2026/10/18
The sermon centers on the charge given to Timothy in 1 Timothy 6 to guard the truth of the gospel and avoid vain babblings and false science. The speaker argues that modern society often places undue trust in experts and political authorities, creating a form of scientism that elevates man above God. In contrast, the Bible is presented as the source of true, accurate knowledge regarding creation, salvation, and eternal life. The message emphasizes that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, rejecting the idea that technology or human achievement can provide salvation or immortality. Listeners are urged to exercise discernment, comparing contemporary claims with the Word of God and placing their ultimate faith in the Lord rather than in worldly powers.

With eternity in view
2026/10/11
How can we face the uncertainty, suffering, and immortality of this present life with eternity in view? Because God has prepared an eternal dwelling for us, and given us his spirit as the guarantee we can face this temporary life with a certainty of everlasting life.
22 The Best of the Best to Come p2
2026/10/11
This sermon explores the theological distinctions between the millennial kingdom and the eternal state, emphasizing that both represent a continuation of God's redemptive plan rather than a discontinuity. The speaker argues against the annihilation of the earth, proposing instead a renovation during the millennium and a subsequent purification for the eternal state, where sin, death, and suffering are completely removed. Key themes include the coexistence of immortal believers and mortal humans, the restoration of creation, and the fulfillment of the cultural and creative mandate in a perfect environment. The message encourages believers to view the future with anticipation rather than boredom, highlighting that the constraints of sin will be lifted to allow for unprecedented innovation and glory. Ultimately, the sermon points to the ultimate goal of seeing God's face and reigning with Him forever, offering a comforting and hopeful perspective on the believer's destiny.
The Charge (1 Timothy 6:13-16)
2026/10/04
This sermon explores the final instructions Paul gives to Timothy, framing them as a solemn charge to remain faithful to God's Word even at great personal cost. The message draws a parallel between this biblical commission and the knightly oath of loyalty and sacrifice, emphasizing that true faithfulness often requires enduring persecution and opposition. It highlights the necessity of knowing God's character—specifically His sovereignty, immortality, and glory—as the foundation for the confidence needed to obey Him rather than human authorities. The preacher encourages the congregation to support their leaders in this difficult task and to grow in their own theological knowledge, which strengthens their trust in God's promises of eternal life. Ultimately, the sermon calls for an unwavering commitment to Scripture, rooted in the assurance of Christ's return and the ultimate revelation of God's face.

Dangerous Advancement of AI Pt. 2
2026/09/15
Without question, AI has been developing at lightning speed. AI leaders have warned of safety dangers and are advocating for guardrails. President Trump has said those warnings are a "sick conspiracy" and is opposed to the guardrails as he sees the United States being at risk due to China's advancement. Meanwhile, there are concerns over the dangerous advancement of AI. There are concerns that AI will be used to design new viruses. Humans are having romantic relationships and conversations with AI. AI is producing explicit sexual materials even of minor children. Just two weeks ago, a federal appeals judge in Wisconsin ruled the 1st Amendment protects a person's right to privately possess child sexual abuse material created using AI as long as it does not depict a real person and stays at home. In California, a father indicates AI turned itself into a confidant for his 16-year old son, and then became a suicide coach. In another case, a young teenager used ChatGPT for Murder Fantasies before taking the life of his mother and his brother. Criminals are using AI to advance their fraud. Keep in mind the Apostle Paul warned Timothy about the perilous times in the last days and warned in II Timothy 3:13, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. With President Trump believing that AI must keep moving forward and some AI experts calling for guardrails to be set up, who's right? What does AI itself say about its own consequences? What is the ultimate end of AI? Is this all about immortality and mankind taking the place of God? What do we know about the romantic relationships some people are having with AI?
