Letting Go of Age
2026/10/18
The task of letting go of age is the very task of letting go of time.
Letting Go of Silence
2026/10/11
Ultimately, the cost of remaining silent, whether quietly or loudly, isn't just that the injustices of the world might not get reversed. The real consequence is the break in community that remains unresolved.
Letting Go of Suffering
2026/10/04
Letting go of suffering means letting go of finding answers but letting go of suffering demands an authentic pouring out of the questions. Because our pain is carried in the questions. And God wants us to pour out our pain to him and to each other. That means naming it.
In Your House Worship
2026/09/27
The people of God are to regularly gather to sing and shout and give thanks with music and song and prayers and creeds and scripture and the Lord's table. They are to bow down as Psalm 95 says. They are to kneel as Psalm 95 says. They are to proclaim that God is God, the King above all kings. It is not a recommendation. It is a crucial practice that forms us individually and as a “we”, into the people of God.
Letting Go of Resentment
2026/09/20
There may be people in your family or maybe right across this room you resent a little or a lot. And I guess I want to say this, if we don't learn to let go of it, it won't let go of us. And our inner being will gradually and slowly pay a price. Resentment is a slow growing cancer. It takes time to wreak its havoc. It's in no hurry. It prefers to be ignored.
Letting Go of Religion
2026/09/13
Look at that box, that is your religion with everything that you do to connect with God, everything that you do to serve God. Everything that you believe about God is in this box. Now ask yourself this question. Is God bigger or smaller than your box?
Letting Go of Me
2026/09/06
Where might God be inviting us to let go?
Journey and Beyond
2026/08/30
In this special service, Pastor Mike Lueken interviews our guest panel from VantagePoint3. He speaks with the creators of the Journey process—Rob Loane, Pam Edwards, and Wesley Kouba, as they have a conversation about what growth in formation looks like in ourselves, the community, and the church.
Walk the Talk: Truth
2026/08/23
Our faith in Jesus compels action.
Walk the Talk: Prayer
2026/08/16
If prayer moves the hand that moves the world, then why do cancer, Parkinson's, cystic fibrosis, and divorce exist and win so many times, even though so many people are praying?
Walk the Talk: Manipulation
2026/08/09
Word games are manipulative; they're controlling. They're a subtle grab for power over the other. When we add words to our simple yes or no, we're trying to strengthen what we're saying to convince our audience, so they think or do what we want.
Walk The Talk: Patience
2026/08/02
The point is that even in the midst of the hard, difficult, uncomfortable situations where we are having to wait through, we still have a job to do. We can still live true to our calling to be children of light no matter what the situations. Knowing that the time of waiting, this time of enduring discomfort is not just a meaningless waste, but that it will be redeemed.
Walk The Talk: Wealth
2026/07/26
If we don't acknowledge our privilege and wealth, we will forever be pursuing it. Because you see, there's never a number. There's never an amount where we say that's enough. And so, our lives become concerned with two main things: getting rich and staying rich. And neither of those two concerns has anything to do with the reality of the kingdom of God.
Walk The Talk: Self Reliance
2026/07/19
How much of this precious life, of what God is about in the here and now, do we miss because we plan and strive and worry and focus on the future?
Walk the Talk: The World and the Kingdom
2026/07/12
Humility waits for God to notice, for God to reward, for God to lift up. So it is not concerned with self-lifting up, with self-promotion, and it is definitely not concerned with putting others down, especially not behind their backs.
