Hey guys, just a quick update on the MMC , things that we have planned and things already in effect.

You asked us, you hounded us, you begged us to come back... and now, we are. After an extensive break of just under a year, the MMC is back and firing on all (aging) cylinders. Yes, Hunter, John and Stu have returned, and start off with a bang. On this episode, it really does Seem Like Old Times. Now this isn't a review on the Chevy Chase / Goldie Hawn film, no this is the MMC doing what they do best - shootin' the sh*t and talkin' about whatever they feel like. This freeform episode was done to help flush the rust out of our systems, next episode, we will be back into the film talk. On this one though, just sit back, relax, and listen to us talk everything from open matte film prints, sound design, a debate on MON-OH recordings, and of course - wrestling. Enjoy this one folks, we will be out with an episode every 2 weeks (hey, we're family men these days, we still got lives to live) Next episode out just before Halloween... and it's a real scary one too, in the meantime, enjoy this un' Thanks for your unwavering support, and especially, your patience. The MMC   Find all our social media links down below https://linktr.ee/midnightmoviecowboys Go help our friend Ed McCRay (who was on our very popular Song of the South episode) out. His parents were involved in a very nasty accident, and a donation would be very much appreciated. Link below for more information. Link to Ed's fundraiser

Hunter and Eric return for another edition of Midnight MILLENNIAL Cowboys, this time a rare episode on a new release! We discuss Zack Cregger's new Resident Evil film and all that comes with it, from our experiences with the games and the series' long and successful history as a movie franchise. Eric also weighs in on I Saw the TV Glow and Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. Tune in to get the elder millennial take!

FINALLY!!! After 15 looooonnnngggg years, finally our Can't Stop the Music is here. Stu's pet project since 2010, and to help round out this episode (which is actually a Mirrorball Movie Cowboys episode) along with Stu, is Hunter and John, Eric Mulder as per usual with Mirrorball episodes, and Eric's WTM co-host Wolfie T. So in essence, this an MMC / WTM megasode under the Mirrorball Movie Cowboys, and in all honesty, this mega film needs a megasode. We get into all the nooks and crannies (yes I said CRANNIES) of Can't Stop the Music. The production, the cast, the soundtrack, oh and there are tangents, and some wrestling talk (but of course) Anyway, it is great pleasure we finally bring to you, the one, the only, the Australian New Years Day staple - Can't Stop the Music Enjoy.

Hey all, to help see off the end of 2025, we present to you another episode of Mirrorball Movie Cowboys. Well, it's actually NOT a Mirrorball episode, but it is. So here's the dirt, this is actually a Watch This Movie episode, but I was asked to be on it, as Mulder and I knew we were covering Skatetown USA for this series.  We decided to release this also as a Mirrorball episode here on the MMC feed. This has actually been out for a few months over at WTM, if you have already heard it, cool, if you haven't then it's here for you now. Anyway all of us here want to wish everyone a happy, and more importantly, safe new year. We will be putting out more content in 2026. We have a MEGA episode coming out January 14th that you do not want to miss. For now though, enjoy the madness that is Skatetown U.S.A

Last week, John and Hunter sat down and watched an entire week of wrestling TV programming to evaluate its current quality, including WWE Raw, NWA Powerrr, AEW Dynamite, and JCW Lunacy. Which was the best? Worst? Weirdest? Listen to find out!

Ok gang, it's mirrorball time once again, on this one Stu and Mulder discuss the 1979 Linda Blair disco vehicle - Roller Boogie. One of the lesser known films of the disco era, and perhaps for good reason, it isn't great... or is it? Well there's only one way to know. Listen on and find out. Episode 3 of this series will be hot on it's heels, shortly after Christmas, and then just after new year will be a disco mega-sode you will not want to miss. for now though, sit back and find out all about Roller Boogie

Eric Zaldivar joins Hunter for another edition of the Midnight Millennial Cowboys, this time to compare two seminal gangster pictures from 1931: Mervyn LeRoy's Little Caesar starring Edward G. Robinson, and William A. Wellman's The Public Enemy, starring James Cagney. Both were breakout vehicles for their stars, both helped define the genre. Yet, despite coming out months apart, they feel very different. Go listen and find out how!

John and Hunter return to get the wrestle-talk out of their system for future episodes by covering Hal Needham's 1986 wrestling flick Body Slam! Starring Faceman himself, Dirk Benedict, as well as a host of real-life wrasslers like Rowdy Roddy Piper, Tonga Kid, The Wild Samoans, and more! Is it any good? Listen to find out!

Hey gang, finally the new season of Mirrorball Movie Cowboys is here, and what a banger we have to start with, the Donna Summer classic from 1978 - Thank God It's Friday. On this one Stu is again joined by the great Eric Mulder from the equally great Watch This Movie podcast. We talk all things Disco, Donna Summer, Music and Girls (not necessarily in that order) As of the time of posting this, season 2 is almost complete, so these will be dropping at a nice steady pace, with one of the films a very heavily anticipated titke that has been thrown around on the MMC for years, in the meantime though, enjoy Thank God It's Friday.

Hey guys, new episode, first view in over a year, but one I unfortunately had to do. Ace Frehley is dead. The first original KISS member to pass away. Anyway, not much to say on the notes here, actually I don't say much on the episode but ramble in disbelief, but hey, it's only 7 minutes.

In the second installment of the Midnight Movie Cowboys deep dive into the overlooked gems of Hong Kong's Golden Age, John and Garo review the Chow Yun Fat action comedy TIGER ON BEAT. Lots of insights and trivia along with the usual shenanigans.

Hey gang, here is the final episode of Mirrorball Movie Cowboys for season 1 - 54. With 2 versions of the film available, Stu and Mulder talk the differences, along with cast choices and the failure of this at the box office (due to it being the last of the late 90's disco trilogy) We also rate the 3 films we have covered in order of favourites. This is an in-depth discussion, on a film that we feel should have gotten as much love as what went on within the walls of Studio 54 itself. As mentioned, this is the final in season 1, these were done a few years back, however, we do have a season 2 for you which were recorded this year (2025) which we will be dropping soon, in the meantime, come listen to us discuss "that big disco that everyone's talking about"

On this episode, John and Hunter are joined by special guest Ed McCray for a deep dive into the hidden history of Disney and the erasure of Song of the South. John and Hunter return to the well to look at another Clint Eastwood film, this one being The Eiger Sanction, an odd, somewhat forgotten movie from our favorite star. We talk about the stunning mountain cinematography, the weird saga with its novel and script, and its connection to the Destroyer novels.
