Today we start a new series by studying the longest recorded prayer that Jesus prayed in the Bible. In what we refer to as “The Lord’s Prayer” Jesus was teaching the disciples to pray. In John 17, Jesus is hours away from the crucifixion, and He prays a prayer we will study over the next seven weeks. This recorded prayer gives us an amazing look into the relationship of the Father and Son. Our text is John 17. Questions? This message explores the spiritual burden of neglecting our relationship with God, especially during seasons of drift like summer. Drawing from Psalm 91, the message contrasts the passive drift of spiritual neglect with the intentional, daily act of abiding in God's presence. It emphasizes that abiding doesn't promise a pain-free life, but it does offer an unshakable one. The sermon unpacks how neglect leads to fear, anxiety, and self-reliance, while abiding brings peace, protection, and intimacy with God. Ultimately, it invites listeners to return to the shelter of the Most High, reminding them that even when we drift, God’s heart remains open and ready to receive us back.ASL interpretation is provided starting 20 seconds into message. Questions? The Christian life is not about trying harder or about moral restraint. Some people on the outside looking in think it is about restraining yourself from the things that will bring you happiness…just say “no” because God will “zap” you if you have too much fun in life. Well, the Apostle Paul dispels that myth in his letter to the believers in Galatia. The Christian life is about a beautiful, prosperous, satisfying life of transformation. Our text is Galatians 5:16-26.ASL interpretation is provided.  Questions? In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve fall into the trap of imitation—grasping for God’s authority, righteousness, and relationship—rather than walking in authentic trust. This same pattern is echoed in 1 John 2 and Matthew 4, where Jesus resists the very temptations they succumbed to. Through His perfect obedience and sacrificial covering, Jesus frees us from the need to perform or hide, inviting us into a life of authenticity. In a season where spiritual drift is common, we’re called to shed the baggage of imitation and walk openly and honestly with God. Questions? In today’s message we examine two important parts of the believer’s armor. It is important to protect the feet of soldiers. It gives the soldier footing. For the believer, this is the Gospel. The soldier’s shield provided protection from flaming arrows. Faith is the shield that protects a Christian from the sly attack of the wicked one. Questions? Paul understood the importance of actual armor in warfare as did his namesake Saul. Both men learned the hard way that spiritual battles are won because of deep faith, not strong weapons.
