Lead Pastor - Tim Hatch

What does it mean to surrender everything to God when obedience is difficult and His timing doesn't make sense? How can you trust that God will provide when you can't see the answer? In Return to the Altar, Pastor Jody teaches from Genesis 22:9–14, exploring Abraham and Isaac's extraordinary test of faith and what it means to surrender to God today. Discover how to build a stronger relationship with God through prayer, obedience, sacrifice, and thanksgiving—and why trusting God's timing is essential when you're waiting for His provision. Throughout the Bible, altars were places of worship, surrender, covenant, and encounters with God. Because Jesus became the final sacrifice for our sins, we no longer need to offer sacrifices on a physical altar. But the invitation to surrender our lives to God remains. In this message, discover: • How to build a spiritual altar through daily prayer, devotion, repentance, and obedience. • Why following God sometimes requires enormous sacrifice. • How to trust God's timing when you're waiting for an answer. • What Abraham's story teaches us about God's provision. • Why we must return to God with thanksgiving, not just our needs. Whether you're facing a difficult decision, struggling to surrender something to God, waiting for His provision, or seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus, this message challenges you to make room for God in every area of your life. The altar is no longer a requirement—but it is still a sacred invitation. Don't return to the altar only in your pain. Return in your praise. Discover what happens when you lay everything before God and trust Him with the outcome.
