Conversation Street Episode 752
2026/10/01
It's an early episode of the podcast this week, covering the Weatherfield happenings between the 28th September and the 1st October (Episodes #11,951 - #11,953).
Eva began the week in a heap at the bottom of the Rovers cellar steps, so naturally the big question was whether she’d remember who pushed her before some innocent suspect got dragged into it instead. Carl did indeed end up being carted off to the nick, causing yet another rift between him and Debbie, but by the end of today’s episode the finger was finally pointing in the right direction: Sam. And it turns out that almost sending his auntie to an early grave is the least of his worries! Sam isn’t the only one carrying a guilty conscience this week, either, with Lucy clearly haunted by what happened during her mum’s final moments. Jodie, meanwhile, seems to be suffering from no such burden whatsoever. Absolutely shameless!
Not a whole lot of news this week, so we gave The Kabin a swerve, but there's still a bit of time for some more listener feedback before the show's end.

Sylvia Goodwin Character Profile
2026/09/29
Following the sad news of actress Stephanie Cole’s death earlier this month, our bonus podcast this week looks back at the cantankerous battleaxe she brought to the cobbles between 2011 and 2013: Sylvia Goodwin. Perhaps you remember her best for getting high on space cakes, maybe it was her stint as a slot-machine queen, or perhaps locking Norris in the loo at Roy’s Rolls is the moment that sticks in your mind most fondly! Whatever the case, we revisit Sylvia’s most memorable moments, ponder whether she was ever really meant to be a likeable character and consider just how much more we might have seen from her had Stephanie not had to leave the show abruptly just as Hayley’s final storyline was getting under way.
Conversation Street Episode 751
2026/09/26
This episode of the podcast covers the week of the 21st to the 25th September (Episodes #11,946 - #11,950).
What a refreshingly watchable week of Corrie this turned out to be, packed with characters we actually care about and even some pleasantly low-stakes drama in parts too. Debbie, Christina, Glenda, Sam, Bernie, the Driscolls... these were the headliners this week, and even the utterly ridiculous revelation that Christina is actually Lucy's grandmother couldn't ruin it. Eva's OTT cold and Glenda skivvying around after her was hilarious, Bernie's reaction to Kit's news was heartbreaking, and despite us being far from the world's biggest Carl fan, that biscuit scene with him and Steve in the cab office really was quite endearing. Now if only they'd pick up the pace a bit with the Metcalfe story - and have Sally push back more against Tim too!
The positive vibes continue into The Kabin, where we celebrate Corrie's big wins at the Inside Soap Awards this week, and we round the episode off as always with more of your listener feedback.

Resident Review: 7 Coronation Street
2026/09/22
For a number of years now, we’ve talked about the so-called Alahan Renaissance that blossomed onto our screens in the late 2010s, when Aadi and Asha got old enough to have storylines of their own and Dev seized the opportunity to go full-on embarrassing dad mode. But with both twins now having flown the nest, where does that leave our favourite corner shop owner? Fortunately, as we discuss in our latest Resident Review, Dev seems to be in just as strong a position as ever - largely thanks to the latest woman in his life, the incomparable Bernie. What is it about this seemingly mismatched couple that makes them work so well on screen? What have been the hits and misses of their more recent storylines? And where would we like to see them - along with their newly acquired houseguest Brody - go next? It's time to discuss!
Conversation Street Episode 750
2026/09/19
For our latest podcast, we chat about what went on in Weatherfield between the 14th and the 18th September (Episodes #11,942 - #11,945).
It was another Jodie-heavy set of episodes this week (when isn’t it?), as she turns her attention away from the Kit and Bethany bunk-up and back to her attempts to seduce David. After hearing about Gemma’s postpartum depression, Jodie sets about convincing her sister that she too has been psychologically affected by Harper’s birth - but will David and Doug fall for her tricks as well? This week also saw a few new storylines get under way. Ross reveals himself to be a bit of a caveman when it comes to his views on gender roles, Susie proves a hit on the Rovers socials, and Summer’s artistic talents bag her a new man. But with Corrie viewers now seemingly trained to inherently distrust any new character who turns up on the cobbles, we’re all left wondering: what dark secret is Marco hiding?
As always, we finish off the podcast with more of your views on the latest goings on on the cobbles.

Conversation Street Episode 749
2026/09/12
This week's podcast covers the drama on the cobbles between the 7th and the 11th September (Episodes #11,938 - #11,941).
We trust your awareness was well and truly raised about breast cancer in men on Monday’s Corrie? Because God forbid we should ever just be entertained by a storyline! Yep, Kit becomes the latest character to have dramatic sound effects playing in the background as he’s handed a life-threatening diagnosis this week - although, to be fair to him, at least he doesn’t spend too long wallowing in it. Perhaps that’s because he’s also got a concurrent storyline involving a night between the sheets with a mystery woman, who turns out to be the person pretty much everyone was expecting: Bethany Platt! And speaking of ladies of mystery, Jodie actually won us over this week, camping it up good and proper as she toys with Bethany following a classic soap conveniently-overheard conversation. On top of all that, we’ve got Debbie’s bittersweet birthday party, a fashion course opportunity for Betsy and yet more Metcalfe mayhem - plus the long-awaited return of Shona’s dad!
Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we reveal how Corrie did at the NTAs (don't get your hopes up!) and cast our eyes over the red carpet fashion amongst the cast. We finish things off with more of your fabulous feedback.

Conversation Street Episode 748
2026/09/05
On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 30th August and the 4th September 2026 (Episodes #11,932 - #11,937).
This week, Celeste goes the way of her beloved Dolly a little sooner than we’d expected, but when a shocking family secret comes to light, Bernie fears it could spell a death sentence for her nearest and dearest. Is this really the sort of story Corrie needs right now, though? Meanwhile, Debbie’s condition takes a worrying turn as she becomes increasingly confused - is a drama-free birthday party on Monday really too much to ask? Also this week, Kit beds a mystery woman, Betsy takes her first post-stroke steps and Nina bids farewell to Weatherfield for a new life in Whitby.
Up next on the podcast it's the Kabin, where we take a look at some Corrie pictures from the Manchester Pride and share an update on Eileen Derbyshire. We round off the show with more of your Corrie feedback.

Nina Lucas Character Profile
2026/09/02
In this episode, we delve into the story of Nina Lucas, one of Corrie’s most distinctive characters of recent years, who has now departed the cobbles for pastures new in Whitby. We look back over Nina’s six and a half years in Weatherfield and reflect on her biggest storylines, most notably the powerful 2021 hate crime story, which for a time saw her firmly established as one of the show’s leading ladies. From her wonderful bond with Uncle Roy (or should that be Roymond?) to her on-off relationship with Asha, her romance with Seb, her brief foray into fashion design and everything in between, this deep dive covers the lot. So if you’re as much of a Nina fan as we are, hopefully this episode will bring back plenty of great memories from her time on the Street!
Conversation Street Episode 747
2026/08/29
On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about the happenings on the Street between the 24th and the 28th August (Episodes #11,928 - #11,931).
There’s a bit more comedy on the cobbles this week, which is always appreciated - and the unexpected dalliance between Brian and Maggie is certainly the most intriguing storyline of the lot! She doesn’t seem too keen to go back for round two just yet, but we’ll be keeping everything crossed... Meanwhile, Sarah finally stands up for herself in prison after becoming sick to the back teeth of Kacey’s threats - but has she really seen the last of her tormentor? Also this week, George reunites with Christina after his trip away, Ollie manages to get himself arrested after a spot of vigilantism goes pear-shaped and Lucy and Richie share a secret phone call about “sticking to the story” over Rachel’s death. Now what exactly could they be hiding...?
We finish off the podcast with more of your fabulous feedback, including another review of the Studio 1 tour and some thoughts about differences between UK and US soaps.

Listener Questions | Which Villainess Should Have Turned Killer & Should Departing Actors Be Recast?
2026/08/25
We’re delving into the Listener Questions pot for this week’s bonus podcast, starting with one from Kit, who wants to know whether there are any female villains from Corrie’s past who should have been turned into killers. We all know there’ve been far fewer lady baddies on the show than men, but how does that compare with real-life crime statistics, exactly how many Weatherfield femmes fatales have already taken someone’s life, and who else could have crossed that line? After that, we ponder Martin’s question about whether Corrie should ever recast a character when an actor decides to leave. It’s something UK soaps rarely do, yet across the pond it’s common practice - so why the difference? And can we think of any recent departures where we might actually have preferred a new head on the character rather than seeing them leave the cobbles for good? And if you've got any thoughts of your own on either of these topics, do let us know!
Conversation Street Episode 746
2026/08/22
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 17th and the 21st August (Episodes #11,923 - #11,927).
Ollie’s certainly on a winning streak this week! Not only does he clean up at a poker game in Speed Daal, he ends the night getting lucky with Lauren too. But with Fiona determined to claw back the money she lost, it looks like Ollie and Idris may have more trouble coming their way... Meanwhile, Todd’s back from Thailand - and wastes absolutely no time in reminding us what a git he can be, swooping in and bedding the very man Glenda had her eye on. Is there any defending him this time? Elsewhere, Sarah stands up to Kacey, Shuttleworth’s takes on a new client with a rather unusual request, and Richie piles the pressure on Tim to lie to the police and save him from being sent down.
In The Kabin, we see who's made it to th NTA shortlist and reveal the latest Corrie merch at the tour shop, and we round off the show with more of your feedback, including a reaction to the new Studio 1 tour!

Resident Review - Number 1 Coronation Street
2026/08/19
In our latest Resident Review, we take a look behind the doors of Number 1 Coronation Street, the home of the Barlows and the McDonalds. With Cassie having just left the Street for pastures unknown, we've been left with a bit of a turning point for the remaining residents - but what should Corrie do to try and leave the characters feeling fresh? To be honest, we're not too sure the characters of Steve, Tracy, Amy and Ken gel well together as a family group - despite enjoying all of the characters in their own way individually! - so it was fun to chat over what could potentially breathe a bit of new life into Number 1. Enjoy!
Conversation Street Episode 745
2026/08/15
On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about the goings on in Weatherfield between the 9th and the 14th August (Episodes #11,918 - #11,922)
There's been a murder! And a suddenly existing relative is involved! This week, Corrie meshes together two ideas that they're really quite fond of recently, which ultimately results in Tim and Sally getting a new foster child to look after - the question is, is she being completely honest about the circumstances surrounding her mother's death? Meanwhile, Sarah splits with Kit in an attempt to protect his career, but he's not willing to let her go without a fight! Also this week, Idris plays dirty to get his hands on Speed Daal, the Bailey boys rally around Ronnie, and opportunity knocks for Nina.
It's been another very quiet week for news, so we give The Kabin a swerve again, but there's no shortage of feedback, with plenty of thoughts on the Dylan and Betsy story to share!

Cassie Plummer Character Profile
2026/08/12
For this week’s bonus podcast, we take a look back on Cassie Plummer’s three years on the cobbles, chronicling her dalliances with drugs, family fall-outs and snuggles and snogs with Steve McDonald. We ponder whether Corrie did the right thing rewriting Tyrone’s family history to bring the Plummers into the show, and consider whether leaving Cassie’s fate shrouded in mystery was the right way to bring her time on the cobbles to a close. Love Cassie or loathe her, it’s impossible to deny the charisma Claire Sweeney brought to the role, and we had a lot of fun revisiting some of her most memorable moments in this discussion. Enjoy!
Conversation Street Episode #744
2026/08/08
On our latest podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 3rd and the 6th August 2026 (Episodes #11,914 - #11,917).
What’s that? You thought that just because there were only four episodes of Corrie this week, this would be a short podcast? Au contraire! With the stroke storyline taking centre stage once more and Dylan finding himself on the receiving end of an attack from Lauren, you’d better believe we’ve got plenty to say about where this story is heading! Has he really done enough to show he’s sorry for what he did to Betsy? Is Lisa’s unrestrained anger towards him justified? And will anyone actually listen to what Betsy wants? There’s an awful lot to unpick here! Not only that, but this week also saw Cassie’s mysterious disappearance from Weatherfield - is she dead, or has she simply been Andy Carvered? Elsewhere, we met Tim’s suddenly existing cousin, Kit issued Gary with an ultimatum and Debbie got to thinking about how she wants to go out when the time comes...
No news this week, but as always, there's plenty of feedback to pick through to round off the episode!
