Advertise on podcast: Message to Kings - A Biblical History of Man

At noon, darkness covers the land for three hours until Jesus utters his last words and dies.  An earthquake strikes, the veil is torn, Godly men are resurrected and grizled Romans confirm he is the innocent and the Son of God.   Matthew 27:45-46, Mark 15:33-41, Luke 23:44-49, John 19:28-37, Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Exodus 12:46, Hebrews 2:9, Galatians 3:13-14, 2 Corinthians 9:8, Hebrews 12:2, Hebrews 2:9, Ephesians 1:5-6, 1 Corinthians 8:17, Romans 6:8, Colossians 3:9-10www.messagetokings.com

After Jesus is condemned to death, he is led away to carry his cross up Calvary's hill. In this episode, we cover the sequences of events through the Via Dollorosa to the noon hour on the cross.  Matthew 27:32-44Mark 14:21-32Luke 23:26-43John 19:17-271 Samuel 17:54Psalm 22Isaiah 53www.messagetokings.com

Pilate turns over Jesus to be beaten by the Romans.  The legal non-Roman citizen limit was 39 lashes, but this was not a typical beating.  Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, causing him to die earlier than expected. The cross references to the Old Testament tell the bigger story and speak to the divine exchange as Jesus is illegally beaten to release healing.  Matthew 27:27-31Mark 15:16-20John 19:1-31 Corinthians 2:8Psalm 39Leviticus 4Isaiah 53Isaiah 50:1-7Isaiah 52:13-15www.messagetokings.com

Jesus stands before Pontius Pilate and states "he is not of this world, and everyone of the truth knows this." Pilate's response, "what is truth?" In this episode, we discuss truth and the events leading up to the conclusion to put Jesus to death.  All these trial confirm one thing - the innocence of Jesus. Matthew 27:1-26Mark 15:1-15Luke 23:1-25John 18:28-40John 1:1www.messagetokings.com

Justice is defined as "getting what you deserve according to the law." The religious leaders, in an illegal trial, condemned Jesus to death. The religious leaders would get what they deserve as justice would befall them, Jesus would get what he deserved as he stepped into the place of the lamb, yet we would not get what we deserve--GRACE! Matthew 26:57-75Mark 14:53-72Luke 22:54-71John 18:12-27www.messagetokings.com

In this action oriented scene and Parallel Bible student's dream, Jesus is betrayed with a kiss by Judas.  Upon his betrayal, Peter puts up a fight and cuts off Malchus' ear. Jesus heals him, rebukes Peter, and surrenders as the disciples flee.  In this episode, we cover this scene including the three bizarre moments, including a power encounter, a healing with the words "permit this," and a naked man.  Matthew 26:47-56Mark 14:43-52Luke 22:47-53John 18:1-18www.messagetokings.com

Jesus and his disciples retire to the garden at Gathsemane. In the garden, Jesus goes to a certain place with Peter, James, and John and he goes away at a distance and prays.  In intercession, he takes on in prayer, the next day: the greatest day in world history. In this episode, we discuss Jesus' intercession, sleepy disciples, an angelic visitation, and sweating great drops of blood.Matthew 26:36-46Mark 14:32-42Luke 22:39-44  www.messagetokings.com

Unprompted, at the end of the Last Supper, Jesus prays for himself, his disciples, and future believers.  In this prayer, we see the true way to heaven, a deeper understanding of holiness, and Jesus' prayer for you and me. John 17www.messagetokings.com

In John 15, Jesus says I am the vine and my father is the gardener. In this teaching, we speak of abiding in the vine and bearing fruit and the cutting that comes in love. From this place of abiding, love and joy and fruit come forth.  John 15:1-17www.messagetokings.com

After Judas leaves, and the devil is out of the room, Jesus teaches the believers about the greater promises.  He covers everything from mansions to greater works to manifestations and the spirit of truth. In this episode, we discuss my second favorite chapter in the whole Bible, John 14 and the promises to the believer.   John 14Matt 7:13John 8:31John 10:10John 1:41 Corinthians 2:8www.messagetokings.com

As the passover drew near, Jesus had a feast with his disciples. In this episode, we discuss the profound symbolism of this moment, its context, bridal revelation, and further revelation of the passover lamb. Even in closing, as they sang a hymn and departed, psalm 118 was on their lips, "I shall not die and live, and declare the works of the Lord."   Matthew 26:17-35Mark 14:12-31Luke 22:7-38John 131 Corinthians 5:71 Peter 1:19Guest Speaker: Jannel Heastonwww.messagetokings.com

Looking for ways to arrest and kill Jesus, the chief priests and associates offered thirty pieces of silver to Judas to betray him. Judas agrees, and he participates in the Last Supper, until Jesus dismisses him.  It says that satan, the devil, possesses him at that moment to betray him.  In this episode, we cover Judas' betrayal and a few examples of demon possession in history.  Matthew 26:1-4Matthew 26:14-16Matthew 27:3-10Luke 22:1-6John 13:18-30www.messagetokings.com

After being sought out by gentiles, Jesus responds "unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but, if it dies, it product much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life." Further, Jesus shouted in prayer to his father, and a voice came from heaven in response. In this podcast, we discuss the grain of wheat and the voice from heaven. John 12:20-36www.messagetokings.com

Jesus says "no one knows the day or hour." In this podcast, we discuss this verse, some history, and times and seasons. But more importantly, does this mean we should be prepared? Sure, but more importantly we should live like there is no tomorrow! Mark 13:32-37Luke 21:34-38Matthew 24:14www.messagetokings.com

Jesus continues to discuss end times in the Olivet Discourse, and concludes with the final judgement. In this podcast, we discuss this judgment, the millennium reign, and the New Jerusalem.   Matthew 25:31-46Revelation 21www.messagetokings.com
