Autumn Yoga for Yoga Teachers: Aparigraha, Vata & Grounded Balance 90 mins
2026/09/29
An autumn-inspired yoga practice for yoga teachers, exploring aparigraha, celebrating and respecting vata, and the pathways of the lower limbs. This is part of a new series of classes in The Teachers Circle mentoring and CPD group for yoga teachers, which gives you a teacher-level practice plus inspiration for your upcoming month of yoga class plans. Visit The Teachers Circle for upcoming teacher inspiration, mentoring sessions, yoga teachers retreats and CPD.    Through standing poses, flowing movement and balances, we explore the connection from sitting bones to heels, finding rooted steadiness alongside movement and space. Building towards half moon pose, we explore the feet firmly rooted in the ground and the body suspended in the air around us. We close with breathwork and rest, making space for the need to stay grounded through change, while celebrating the energy, activity and inspiration of the season. Have a block and a belt to hand, with a wall nearby for balance if needed. I always love to hear feedback and requests! Contact Morven on [email protected]
Yoga Nidra: Gathering Summer
2026/08/31
I offer you this deeply restful Yoga Nidra practice for the transition from summer into autumn. Through breath awareness, a gentle journey through the body and the warmth of the imagined sun, you are invited to gather the experiences and memories that will nourish you in the months ahead, while releasing what you no longer wish to carry. The practice concludes with a visualisation of gathering the abundance of summer, followed by a choice of sankalpa—or heartfelt intention—to accompany you into the next phase. Allow around 70 minutes and make yourself somewhere warm and comfortable where you will not be disturbed. With every step you take, through every breath of life, may you be blessed with the clarity and courage to tend to your truth and know your own heart.
Yoga Nidra for When You Need to Sleep
2026/04/02
I have been doing this yoga nidra myself since I recorded it at a live class on Monday. It's so relaxing and soothing. I take you on a journey of exploration within the fabric of the body, observing the sensations to take you out of your busy mind.  Make sure you are somewhere you won't be disturbed, and if you sleep it's a win! That's what most of us need. Even if you don't though, it's still going to help your energy and your stress levels.  I have just published a new yoga course - the Healing the Whole Person yoga programme for cancer patients. It's a yoga and mindfulness programme to support people recovering from cancer treatment or living with cancer. In it, there is a yoga nidra for cancer as well as yoga classes for all stages of the cancer journey. Learn more about it  HERE
Compassionate Acceptance Meditation for Pain Management
2026/02/04
This mindfulness meditation guides you to safely and consciously lean into pain with tenderness. Compassionate acceptance helps you to cultivate a new, inclusive relationship with pain and trains you to realise the nuances of what can seem like fixed pain.  This approach can be helpful for people living with chronic pain who are looking for a way to accept pain without becoming overwhelmed by it.  This meditation was recorded live with a group on the Move Out of Pain course at Omni studio in Weston-super-Mare, UK.  I have just published a new course - Healing the Whole Person yoga programme for cancer patients. Sweet and Simple Yoga Nidra for Sleep
2025/03/21
Prepare for sleep with this sweet and simple practice that brings you into your body, resets your nervous system and sets you up for going to sleep and staying asleep.  I have been using this Yoga Nidra myself in the last couple of weeks and it has become my go-to for the perimenopausal wakefulness I've been having.  In this recording, I guide you through some relaxing breathing, then on a journey around the body which will take you away from your thoughts and into a quieter space, ready for deep rest.  I have just published a new yoga course - Healing the Whole Person yoga programme for cancer patients. It's a yoga and mindfulness programme to support people recovering from cancer treatment or living with cancer. Learn more about it  HERE
Ep 127: Solstice practice: 60 mins Deep into the Breath Restorative Yoga
2023/12/22
Hello and happy solstice.  This is a deeply restful restorative yoga practice for you.  The breath, our travelling companion for life, can take us into deep states of relaxation and peace. I hope you enjoy this practice 🙏 Blessings of the longest night to you. Here's a poem to guide you into the coming journey towards the light.    Blessing for the Longest Night by Jan Richardson DECEMBER 21, 2022 / JANFALLS All throughout these months as the shadows have lengthened, this blessing has been gathering itself, making ready, preparing for this night. It has practiced walking in the dark, traveling with its eyes closed, feeling its way by memory by touch by the pull of the moon even as it wanes. So believe me when I tell you this blessing will reach you even if you have not light enough to read it; it will find you even though you cannot see it coming. You will know the moment of its arriving by your release of the breath you have held so long; a loosening of the clenching in your hands, of the clutch around your heart; a thinning of the darkness that had drawn itself around you. This blessing does not mean to take the night away but it knows its hidden roads, knows the resting spots along the path, knows what it means to travel in the company of a friend. So when this blessing comes, take its hand. Get up. Set out on the road you cannot see. This is the night when you can trust that any direction you go, you will be walking toward the dawn. I have just published a new yoga course - Healing the Whole Person yoga programme for cancer patients. It's a yoga and mindfulness programme to support people recovering from cancer treatment or living with cancer. Learn more about it  HERE
20 mins Night Sky Yoga Nidra, Deep Rest and Peace
2023/12/17
This is a yoga nidra that I wrote for the Embodiment Restorative Yoga series. Every Autumn I run a series of workshops which progressively take you on an inner journey and a celebration of rich inner life. This Nidra uses a visualisation of stars to illuminate the inner body. Apparently this year, Wintering is in, so this is an absolute essential for any budding Winterers out there, or anyone who, like me, relishes any opportunity to introvert 🌚 I have just published a new yoga course - Healing the Whole Person yoga programme for cancer patients. Gentle Winter Yoga Pt 2 - Yoga in Midlife and Beyond
2023/12/08
Here's part two. A live class I recorded at my Gentle Yoga class on a Thursday morning. You can come live to this one on Zoom if you like! I wanted to share it because it's focused on joint freedom and the class participants loved it so much I thought you might too.  The cold can creep into our joints and make movement feel uncomfortable. This can happen at any age but those of us in our forties and beyond, especially us menopausal women can really feel it. This class shows you thay you don't have to feel uncomfortable - there is pleasure and ease to be found in the body, whatever your condition.  Have your usual yoga props around you and be near a chair or wall if that helps you balance. If you have a resistance band and a massage ball or a dowel, have that around too.  Lots of love, Morven x www.yogabynature.org Get in touch! [email protected]

This class also includes some fall-prevention, teaching the muscle memory to react quickly in fall positions like slipping back or forward.  Find me at www.yogabynature.org. Sway Yoga Nidra. Peace, rest and flow
2023/02/06
I love this yoga nidra from our restorative yoga teacher Lucy Saunders. Sadly, Lucy has to take a break for a while from YBN while she restores her own health. This podcast is a yoga nidra she guided us through originally in October when there was a lot of movement in the air. I thought it would be a beautiful practice to lead us into Spring also, as exuberance begins to bubble under the surface.  I have just published a new yoga course - Healing the Whole Person yoga programme for cancer patients.
