Description

There's something to love about every movie. Yes, even that one. At I Like To Movie Movie, we celebrate movies of all genres, with the only criteria being that it's worth talking about. Horror, action, sci-fi, drama, romance, classics, bombs, franchises, musicals, epics, shorts, and hardcore oddities -- it's all here. Listen as we discuss our favorites, interview filmmakers, and generally have a good time. It might get weird.

280 - A Farewell Film Potluck!
2026/07/18
All good things must come to an end, including podcasts that have been bringing you cinematic joy for 15 years!! It’s been a fun run, but we’ve decided to close the doors on I Like to Movie Movie so we can apply our creative energies in exciting new ways. So while this may sound like “goodbye” it’s more accurate to call it a “see ya later.” As a farewell treat, Dan, Megan, and Stephen have come together for a movie potluck, with each host bringing one of their favorite films to the table for discussion. So today we discuss three excellent films, and you can guess who chose each one (it’s not hard). We’ve got Habit, Ocean’s Twelve, and Miss Congeniality on deck to close it all out. Thank you to everyone who listened, commented, or joined the show over the years. It’s been a pure joy to bond over our collective love of cinema. A big, wet kiss on the cheek from Dan, Stephen, Megan, BB, and Garrett to you, dear listener. As previously noted, this may be an end, but it’s not the end. Stay tuned to our socials for future fun, and as always, stay tuned to ScullyVision.com for updates. And while you’re at it, maybe add Peak Form to your watchlist. It’s coming out soon and I promise it’s going to rock your socks!! Be kind to each other, fight hate with love, and call your friends and family if you have the ability. Go make something cool. The world needs it!! And Scott, wherever you may be, I miss you already and I’m thankful to have had you as a friend. I’ve been upgraded from “second loudest person on earth” to “first loudest person on earth” and I’ll never forgive you for it. Love you, bro. ~ Dan
279 - Scream(s)
2026/03/15
It’s crazy to think that Scream has been around for thirty years! To celebrate the anniversary, we dig deep into the entire franchise, leading to an epic discussion about the latest film, Scream 7. Is the meta angle worth keeping? Does Gale make the right hair choices? Is it even possible to see out of a Ghostface make well enough to kill? Was it complete and utter BS what the production did to Melissa Barrera? (Yes, it was). Spoilers abound, so make sure you see these movies before you indulge. Or don’t. It’s fine. You do you. Be sure to like and subscribe on your favorite podcast platform, and if you’re the awesome person we believe you to be, leave us a review! Follow us on Instagram! We still have a Twitter, but I think we’re done with that platform. You know why. Check out ScullyVision for more fun stuff, including updates on Dan’s feature directorial debut, Peak Form.
278 - Labyrinth w/ special guest Mo (it’s her favorite movie)
2026/02/15
Happy 40th anniversary to Labyrinth! Join us as we discuss the puppets, the painted backdrops, the codpieces, and the meaning behind a film that proved formative for many filmgoers of our generation … except for Dan and Stephen, who never saw it before. Joining us is Mo, who has proudly declared that this is her favorite film, and who brought a wealth of knowledge and behind-the-scenes trivia to the table (as well as a David Bowie action figure). Be sure to leave us a nice review and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts! Follow us on Instagram (and honestly, screw Twitter or X or whatever the heck it is). Check out ScullyVision for updates! Did you know that Dan made a movie? WELL HE DID, and if you want to see it, follow Peak Form on Instagram and Facebook for updates!
277 - The Best Movie Movies of 2025!
2026/01/15
Happy New Year! You know what time it is: it’s time to count down or favorite movie movies of 2025! So sit down, strap in, and get ready for an onslaught of rapid-fire movie nerdery! Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave us a glowing review! Follow the show on Instagram and Twitter, and stay tuned to ScullyVision for updates! Be sure to check out .ask on Tubi and Amazon Prime, as well as Found Footage Finds on YouTube and FoundTV! We’ll be back next month to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Labyrinth!
276 - The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
2025/12/15
Now that Severance is blowing minds and winning Emmys, we look back at the film where reliable comedy director Ben Stiller first shifted into auteur mode. His ambitious adaptation of the classic James Thurber short story is a mashup of big ideas, clever direction, and appearances from people who you forgot were even in this movie (which you probably forgot existed). It was Stephen’s turn to pick a film, and his surprising selection proves quite discussion-worthy, both in a thematic sense and a technical one. It’s likely you haven’t seen this film in ages — you’re due for a rewatch! GRAB LIFE BY THE HORNS. Be sure to like and subscribe on your podcatcher of choice, and if you’re feeling the holiday spirit, leave us a review! And if you’re not feeling the holiday spirit, don’t, ya Scrooge. I Like to Movie Movie wishes you and yours a magical holiday season. We thank you for tuning in here in 2025, and we look forward to providing you with more great stuff in 2026. We’ll see you next month with our best of the year countdown!! Follow the show on Instagram and Twitter. Check out ScullyVision.com. Look out for an appearance from Dan in .ask and on Found Footage Finds (please subscribe so we can make a second season!)
275 - Megan: Impossible - THE FINAL RECKONING
2025/11/15
We did it!!! The Final Reckoning is here! What started as a silly project to expose Megan to the ultimate action espionage franchise turned into a rebirth for I Like to Movie Movie, and we could not be happier for the results. We also could not be happier to finally be out from under this franchise. We are now free. Free to wear whatever masks we choose. In this episode we look back on the history of the franchise and assess Final Reckoning’s role as not just the end of the story, but the end of a filmmaking era. What’s next for Tom Cruise? What’s next for Christopher McQuarrie? Why did the navy put its hottest soldiers on the same submarine? When did Luther fall ill? Is that Ilsa Faust we see? Be sure to like, subscribe, and leave us a review on your podcatcher of choice. Follow us on Instagram and Twitter. Stay tuned to ScullyVision.com for more fun stuff. Send your clicks over to TubiTV to see Dan in .ask, as well as YouTube and FoundTV for Found Footage Finds (help us get a season two!!!!) Next month’s film: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
274 - 28 Days/Weeks/Years Later
2025/10/15
Happy Halloween from I Like to Movie Movie! Join us for a super spooky celebration of one of the most enduring fright franchises of all time: 28 Days/Weeks/Years Later! It’s been over two decades since the original film brought rage zombies to the big screen, and in the interim, Danny Boyle and Cillian Murphy became Oscar winners, and Alex Garland became a household name. Join us as we look back on the series, dissect the latest entry, and look into the future of the franchise (which is coming soon than you think!) Follow I Like to Movie Movie on Instagram and Twitter, and be sure to like and subscribe on your podcatcher of choice! Check out ScullyVision.com for more fun! Dan is in a movie and on a show! Watch .ask on TubiTV and Amazon Prime, and Found Footage Finds on FoundTV and YouTube!
273 - Mulholland Drive
2025/09/15
Earlier this year we lost one of the greatest filmmakers to ever do it, David Lynch. From the surrealism of Lost Highway to the melancholic charm of The Straight Story, Lynch embraced a wide range of artistic sensibilities across multiple mediums. His work can charm, terrorize, tittilate, and provoke, often times through a single image. This is especially true for Mulholland Drive, perhaps the most accessible of his notoriously cryptic original works. Largely considered one of the best films ever made, Mulholland Drive is a magnum opus by every metric. Today we honor Lynch’s artistic legacy by doing our darndest to crack this deeply moving neo-noir thriller as wide open as can be (spoiler alert: it’s more about us than the film itself, as is fitting to Lynch’s modus operandi). Be sure to follow I Like to Movie Movie on Instagram and Twitter, and check out ScullyVision for more fun stuff. Check out .ask on TubiTV as well as Found Footage Finds on FoundTV. Fix your hearts or die! RIP David Lynch.
272 - Superman
2025/08/15
Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the latest iteration of the OG superhero, and he’s here to fight for truth, justice, and a better tomorrow! Join us as we discuss James Gunn’s take on the Big Blue Boy Scout, starring Philadelphia’s own David Corenswet (Go Birds!). In this episode we dive into what makes this crowd-pleasing blockbuster such a success, while also investigating what made previous versions of Supes unique. Is the latest also the greatest? This episode comes out on Dan’s birthday, so if you want to make him a happy middle-aged man, send him some money. But if you can’t do that, leave us a review, share the episode, and follow I Like to Movie Movie on Instagram and Twitter! And check out ScullyVision for more! Check out .ask on TubiTV and check out Found Footage Finds on FoundTV
271 - The Best Movie Movies of 2025 Thus Far!
2025/07/15
We’re at the halfway point of 2025 (which means we’re closer to 2050 than 2000, you elderly person, you), so it’s time to count down our favorite Movie Movies of the year THUS FAR! It’s a tradition as old as the show itself, and it’s always a blast to compare our tastes and catalog our faves! Due to circumstances, we had to record this one remotely, but we’ll be back to in-person sessions soon. Thanks for your support! And speaking of support, be sure to follow the show on Instagram and Twitter, and stay tuned to ScullyVision for updates! Be sure to leave us a review wherever you get your pods (unless you don’t like the show, in which case just move on). Check out .ask on TubiTV, and check out Found Footage Finds on FoundTV! We’ll be back next month with our coverage of Superman!!
270 - Megan: Impossible - The Road to *The Final Reckoning (Part Seven)
2025/06/15
It’s official: Megan is now caught up for The Final Reckoning. Granted, we’ve all actually seen The Final Reckoning by now, but we are nothing if not completists, and we desperately needed to record this one before the last film hit theaters !! So enjoy this, the penultimate episode in our franchise dissection (we will be waiting for home video to do an episode on The Final Reckoning — we need a break from these missions, as do you — perhaps we’ll go rock climbing!). What a journey it’s been! Follow the show on Instagram, and stay tuned to ScullyVision for updates! Please leave us a review wherever you’re listening to this (it helps — and be nice!). Next month’s episode (7/15) will be our Mid-Year countdown, so get your yellow legal pads ready for some recs. Tune into Found Footage Finds on FOUNDTV, and check out .ask on TUBITV and Amazon (Dan is in both).
269 - Heathers
2025/05/11
As the newest recruit to the Movie Movie team it was only right for Megan to have a turn picking a movie for the show. Somehow, she found a film that neither Stephen nor Dan had seen before: the cult classic dark comedy Heathers! Join us as we discuss this bizarre ‘80s treat that feels all too relevant today. We laugh, we cry, we love our dead gay son. Follow the show on Instagram Check out ScullyVision Leave us a review wherever you get your podcasts (and subscribe while you’re at it!). The I Like to Movie Movie team will be on the 40 Years of Back to the Future panel at Fan Expo in Philadelphia on 5/17. Come on out and meet the crew!!! You may end up with a fancy new t-shirt… Be sure to check out the film .ask on Tubi, Fawesome, and Amazon Prime (Dan is in it). And tune into Found Footage Finds this June on FoundTV (Dan is in it).
268 - Megan: Impossible - The Road to *The Final Reckoning (Part Six)
2025/04/15
Megan has never seen a Mission: Impossible movie. Dan and Stephen are making her watch ALL OF THEM. That’s right, as the final (?) film in the series quickly approaches, we will be going through the ultimate preparatory task. It sounds impossible, but we’ll succeed, just like Ethan Hunt and the IMF gang! This time we’re talking Fallout, and it seems the trio is in agreement: this is top-tier Tom-foolery! So c**k your punching arms, take some helicopter piloting lessons, and as always, trust your team. The beverages we enjoyed on this episode were provided by Philters, purveyors of delicious zero-proof spirits! Follow us on Instagram! Check out ScullyVision.com!
267 - Megan: Impossible - The Road to *The Final Reckoning (Part Five)
2025/03/16
Megan has never seen a MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE movie. Dan and Stephen are making her watch ALL OF THEM. That’s right, as the final (?) film in the series quickly approaches, we will be going through the ultimate preparatory task. It sounds impossible, but we’ll succeed, just like Ethan Hunt and the IMF gang! We have plenty of time, so this won’t be a back-to-back-to-back project, but expect plenty of M:I talk over the coming year or so. This time we’re talking Rogue Nation, the entry that brings Christopher McQuarrie to the director’s chair, securing his job as the man who will bring this series across the finish line. We talk about the film’s unique structure, the locking in of the team dynamic, and the introduction of Rebecca Ferguson’s Ilsa Faust, the English counterpart to Ethan Hunt, and owner of the coolest name in all of fiction. So tie your ass to a plane, put on your opera suit, and hold your breath for a very long time: We are the living manifestation of destiny, and we are going to put you in a box! Please follow us on Instagram and Twitter , and check out ScullyVision.com! We have merch!
266 - 2025 Film Preview
2025/02/17
“It's better to look ahead and prepare, than to look back and regret.” So says Olympic legend Jackie Joyner-Kersee. While she was talking about living a full life and not about seeing a year’s worth of movies, it was ultimately the best quote I could find to suit our latest episode. Yeah, I know we’re already at the end of February, but that still gives us ten months of films to anticipate (and you already saw DEN OF THIEVES: PANTERA, against which all 2025 movies will surely pale). Dan, Stephen, and Megan have each compiled a list of ten films that have them champing at the bit to get to the theater. Come plan your moviegoing year with I Like to Movie Movie! Follow us on Instagram and Twitter. Subscribe on your favorite pod platforms! Stay tuned to ScullyVision for more goodies! We have merch!
