Expectations Met, Right?
2026/10/07
With Anna away, friend of the show Patrick Johnston - sports writer for the Vancouver Province and Vancouver Sun - taps in to talk Vancouver Canucks. He and Chris touch on fan expectations in line with the handful of wild-ish & somewhat exciting Canucks games early in the season, what to make of Paul Cotter and Elias Pettersson flipping roles, and if the rebuild will be seen through. Plus the word is now official - the Goldeneyes, and the rest of the PWHL, will be on Hockey Night in Canada!

High on Low Expectations
2026/09/28
The Canucks are days away from opening their 2026-27 NHL season in Edmonton. Anna & Chris share their expectations going into this season, the lineup combinations they think Manny Malhotra will deploy, and what success will be measured in if it's not wins. Plus the Goldeneyes have a General Manager again.

This One Time At Training Camp...
2026/09/21
The Vancouver Canucks have not only opened training camp, they've even played their first preseason game down in Seattle. So with the season almost underway, Anna & Chris share a few expectations - if any - they have for the Canucks this year.

Ensh$tiffication of Hockey
2026/09/14
After an extended (and somewhat unexpected-ish) Summer hiatus, Anna & Chris awaken from their slumber to talk hockey while the sun is still shining and the air conditioners are still out. From the Vancouver Canucks signing a goaltender to a PTO, to Max Sasson's Dinner Club, to the significant reduction of traditional media content to consume NHL hockey, the pair have quite a bit to talk about. And then there's the Edmonton Oilers and their poor choices to touch on.

Family Business
2026/07/06
With Anna & Chris heading into their Summer schedule of one episode in each of July & August, the pair share a few thoughts on the Vancouver Canucks drafting Caleb Malhotra when his Dad is head coach. And as it was apparent the team had "an approach" to the rest of their 2026 draft class, the two share if they think it was a good one or something similar to draft classes of olde. And with free agent frenzy frenziing (totally a word), did the Canucks actually free agent frenzy the right way?!

Birds of a Feather Stay Together
2026/06/22
To help Anna & Chris understand all that has happened in the world of the Vancouver Goldeneyes these past couple weeks, Lachlan Irvine joins to share all that he knows. The three discuss how Vancouver went relatively unscathed through the expansion process, drafted KK Harvey, and are setting themselves up for a good 2026-27 campaign. And to wrap the episode up, they share who they have the Vancouver Canucks taking at third overall in the NHL Entry Draft.

2011 Avengers Assemble
2026/06/08
The Vancouver Canucks have a head coach. The Vancouver Goldeneyes do not. Anna & Chris spend the bulk of the episode talking about what this all means for the two teams going into the "silly season" - entry drafts, expansion drafts-ish, and everything that all of that entails.

Foote Gets Boot
2026/05/26
The Vancouver Canucks will have an entirely new coaching staff. The Vancouver Goldeneyes might... maybe. The Montreal Victoire have won the Walter Cup. The PWHL has expanded into four markets, one of which was completely off Anna & Chris' radar. And the NHL playoffs are in full swing.

Draft Lottery Losers
2026/05/12
As a fan of the Vancouver Canucks, you've likely come to accept that nice things are elusive. Yet how many of you had hope, albeit briefly, that first overall in the NHL Entry Draft was in reach? Anna & Chris share how it's the hope that kills them when it comes to following the team, what they think the team does with third overall, and who they like best out of the final two (maybe?) names being considered for GM. Plus the pair talk about the PWHL expansion process and Anna tries to walk Chris through the complexity of the expansion draft.

The Quacks We Quacked Along the Way
2026/04/27
With both the NHL and PWHL hockey seasons complete for the two teams from Vancouver, Anna & Chris discuss a few happenings over the past week. For instance, how awesome was it the Goldeneyes succeed with the PWHL Gold Plan? And how not-so-awesome is it the search for a new Canucks GM is happening on multiple lists? And with a PWHL season under the belt for this podcast, the pair discuss what rules should stick and which should find their way to the bin.

Gotta Be Gotta Be Gold Plan
2026/04/22
The Vancouver Canucks season is over and Patrik Allvin is looking for a new gig. The Vancouver Goldeneyes are officially out of the post-season and working on making their best of the Gold Plan. Anna and Chris have thoughts on everything and more. Was the Canucks culture really that bad? Did the Goldeneyes "peak" at the wrong time of the season? And is Anna on to something about naming a four-goal game?

Wrecked? Then Wreck It
2026/04/13
After a typical string of losses, the Vancouver Canucks suddenly remembered what fun hockey was like. And while the math suggests the Vancouver Goldeneyes still have a shot at the post-season, three consecutive losses have put them on the bring. Anna & Chris discuss what the last few games for each will entail, and what each must do to embrace the season-ticket holder going into 2026-27.

Home Is Where The Hard Is
2026/04/01
With how long Anna & Chris have been at the podcast game, you'd think they'd have more successful weeks of prognostication. The Goldeneyes get the expected win, and give the Fleet a run for their money, while the Canucks lose a bunch... because that's what they do too. Fights, Playoff Chances, and revoked media credentials all make an appearance in this episode.

Go Girl Give Us Nothing
2026/03/23
The Vancouver Canucks win one & lose two and Anna & Chris are happy. The Vancouver Goldeneyes win one & lose one, and Anna & Chris are happy-ish. The hosts discuss what the two teams need to do in the homestretch of their respective seasons to succeed, whether the Canucks need a Captain next season & who it should be, and how the staff at the Pacific Coliseum are top-notch.

Living in the Linden Timeline
2026/03/17
The Canucks race to the bottom continues despite a win over Nashville, the Goldeneyes race to the playoffs continues despite losing twice in overtime, while paper bags and the Linden timeline are all the rage in the Smylosphere.
