Wisdom Wednesday: Do The Next Right Thing (Matthew 6:33-34)
2026/11/04
SPECIAL Wisdom Wednesday: In light of yesterday's elections, some might be tempted to be distracted, despairing, anxious, or angry. God's people need to steady themselves, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. From there, the best thing we can do is simply the next right thing.
How To Build The Church (Zechariah 4)
2026/11/02
Cars can't run without an engine. Birds can't fly without wings. Sailboats won't move without wind. And the Church won't grow without the Holy Spirit. This is how God spreads His Kingdom: He fills His people with His Holy Spirit to take the gospel of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world. But without the power of the Holy Spirit, the obstacles we face are immovable mountains. The greatest need of Christians, the Church, and Society today is the power of the Holy Spirit to advance the good news of Christ and Him crucified to the ends of the earth.
QUESTION: What Should Christians Think About Halloween?
2026/10/28
Halloween is a tricky topic among Christians today. Some a greatly opposed to it while others see no problem in it. Christians should think about what Halloween is and how to approach it, but it takes biblical wisdom to think through these issues.
WISDOM WEDNESDAY: The Righteous Are Blessed & A Blessing To Others (Prov. 10:6-7)
2026/10/21
In this edition of Wisdom Wednesday, we look at Proverbs 10:6-7 and the difference between the righteous and the wicked.
Our Church Must Never Forget the Truth (Zechariah 3:8-10)
2026/10/19
Joshua and the Priesthood existed for one main  purpose—a purpose that must never be forgotten. To forget this purpose was tantamount to covenant faithlessness. All would be lost for the Priesthood and for Israel if they forgot this main purpose.
Do Your Words Change or Char The World? (James 3:1-12 at Bayshore Christian School's chapel)
2026/10/16
On October 14, 2026, Wilson Van Hooser preached at Bayshore Christian School's weekly chapel in their series on James. In James 3:1-12, James is showing the godly use of the tongue versus the ungodly use. Our words either change others or "char" (i.e. burn up) others.
WISDOM WEDNESDAY: Work when it's time to work; rest when it's time to rest. (Proverbs 10:4-5)
2026/10/14
The Priesthood Charged (Zechariah 3:6-8)
2026/10/12
Because Joshua was justified, he is now re-established as the High Priest of Israel. But now it is time to get to work! Joshua is called to faithfulness in his personal life and priestly duties. This text is also for us, the new priesthood of God, who are called to faithfulness is our priestly duties of prayer, holy living, and spreading the gospel of grace. The Church as the Royal Priesthood is a life-changing identity marker.

GUEST: Joe Nichols "Do You Show Partiality?" (James 2:1-13)
2026/10/02
In this episode, we hear from Joe Nichols preaching on James 2:1-13. The plague of partiality is not merely in the world, but comes into the lives of Christians. James had to write to the early church, calling them to live in light of the gospel of God's free grace and change the way they related to others. The original context of this sermon is at Bayshore Christian School's Upper School chapel on September 16, 2026.
We Need Revival (Acts 2)
2026/09/28
Biblical revival is a reality that has occurred all across the world throughout 2,000 years of history ever since Pentecost. While Pentecost is an unrepeatable, one-time event, there are some things that occurred at Pentecost which occur again in times of revival. But revival is nothing different than normal Christianity. Revival is normal Christianity but with extraordinary results. While Pentecost once-for-all ushered in the fullness of the New Covenant era, revivals have since occurred to further the spread of the gospel around the world that began at Pentecost. The greatest need today is not another Pentecost (because that can't happen), but genuine biblical revival. That is the biggest need of our country today.
QUESTION: Is it wrong to be happy when life is going well?
2026/09/25
In this episode, Wilson Van Hooser addresses the question: "Is it wrong for us to be happy when we're experiencing God's blessings in our life?" There are times when we can feel a strange sense of guilt for being happy when things are going well. How are we to respond to these thoughts?
The Priesthood Restored (Zechariah 3)
2026/09/21
I honestly cannot think of how to state it more seriously and succinctly than this: Your greatest need is for a High Priest--without one, you'll perish in Hell forever. But if you come to Jesus you will find more grace than your guilt and more salvation than your sin. He is the way to God, the only Mediator between God and Men, and you never need a Mediator to get to Him. So, come to Jesus and be saved forever!
Spiritual Grandparenting & Discipleship (Ruth 4, Romans 16)
2026/09/18
This teaching session was for the Sojourners Meeting during the month of September in 2026 at Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church. "Spiritual grandparenting," or discipleship, is vital for our church today. We need more discipleship and mentoring from older people to younger people.
