Lab Day: Tuesday Receipts, Waiver Risers & Fallers, The Climbers + Role-Plus-Matchup Targets
2026/10/21
It’s CFF Lab Day, and it starts with accountability. All 18 of Tuesday night’s start/sit calls get graded: Isaiah Myers’ 242-yard explosion, the wins on JJ Kohl and Toby Payne, and the three backfield calls that blew up. Then the waiver market. The biggest risers and fallers in Fantrax since Monday, which moves the market got right, and which drops were overreactions you can take advantage of. The New Mexico State at Sam Houston preview gets you set for tonight. Then into the lab, with two new studies. The Climbers: players whose targets, routes or backfield share have gone up three straight games, before the points show it. It’s the list that flagged Connor Lair and Devonte Lyons before Tuesday night. And Role Plus Matchup: players with a real role facing a bottom-30 defense this weekend, using the new 138-team points-allowed rankings.
Tuesday Night Start/Sit + The 138-Team Points-Allowed Rankings + 4 New Full-Time WRs
2026/10/20
Week 8 kicks off tonight, so the show starts with start/sit for all three Tuesday games: Missouri State at Delaware, Middle Tennessee at FIU, and South Alabama at Marshall. Who to trust, who to sit, the quarterback situations still unsettled at Delaware and Marshall, and the favorite play of the night. Then the debut of the CFF All Day points-allowed rankings: all 138 FBS defenses ranked against QBs, RBs, WRs and TEs. You’ll hear how they’re built, why you can trust them, and the toughest and softest defense at every position. Every rank comes with its receipts, plus the Saturday matchups worth circling. To close: four receivers who ran routes like starters in Week 7, before your league catches on.
Week 7 Recap: WSU’s New QB, Backup RBs Take Over & Early Week 8 Waivers
2026/10/19
Week 7 is in the books, and this episode covers what happened and what to do about it. Washington State benched its starting quarterback for freshman Owen Eshelman. Receiver Branden Ganashamoorthy then drew 18 targets, the most in the country, and he’s rostered in 1% of leagues. Cincinnati and West Virginia combined for 87 points, and Texas State’s Torrance Burgess Jr. was the top scorer in college football. Starting running backs were missing all over the country, including Florida State’s Ousmane Kromah, who’s now out for the season. We grade last Monday’s waiver list and every call from Friday’s rankings, good and bad. We also debut Room Rankings, a new segment on the busiest receiver, tight end, running back and quarterback rooms in the country. Then it’s the early waiver look, with every add’s Week 8 matchup, plus the Week 8 byes and who to stash while their teams are off. Waivers run Tuesday, so listen before you put in your claims. Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe.
Week 7 Rankings: Smash Plays, Role Wins & Matchup Darts
2026/10/16
Week 7 lineup decisions, position by position. Every quarterback, running back, receiver, tight end and defense is sorted into Smash Plays, Role Wins and Matchup Darts, counted down to number one, plus a Proceed with Caution list at each offensive position. Matchups are graded on what each defense has given up against FBS competition, and on whether those offenses did more against it than they usually do. The analysis covers what each defense has allowed and to whom, not just a rank. In this episode: Number ones at every position: Marcus Stokes, Jeffrey Overton Jr., Jesse Legree, Joshua Long and the New Mexico defenseThe softest QB matchup in the country, and a 14%-rostered quarterback who gets itA Georgia running back at 8% rostered with Chauncey Bowens out and Nate Frazier questionableThe defense whose receiver points allowed have gone up every single weekElijah Brown expected to start for Washington Friday nightWhy Notre Dame and LSU defenses come off the start boardThree Friday-night games are on the slate: Memphis at Tulane, App State at Coastal Carolina and Washington at Purdue. Set those lineups first. Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe.
QB Chaos, the Notre Dame Backfield & the Defenses to Attack in Week 7
2026/10/14
Five teams have quarterback news this week, and some of the backups are 1 or 2% rostered. The Injury Desk covers who’s in, who’s out and who to add at Washington, Colorado State, Oregon, Colorado and Washington State. Then: a recap of Tuesday night’s games and how our calls held up, the hits and the misses. A preview of Wednesday night’s games, including the best streaming quarterback of the week. And a Room Spotlight on the Notre Dame running backs and the SMU wide receivers. A listener asked whether Jonaz Walton is the Notre Dame back to own, and whether he’s a top-10 dynasty asset for 2027. Plus Defenses to Target, with the matchups that turn a low-rostered player into a big week. The Start/Sit Showdown covers Virginia–SMU, UNLV–Air Force and TCU–Baylor. And the CFF Lab looks at what the fantasy market does when a starter goes down. Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe.
CFF Heisman Top 10 Debut, the Best Fantasy Offenses & Ranked Start/Sit Showdowns
2026/10/13
Three new segments debut on today's CFF All Day. The CFF Heisman Top 10 makes its debut. It's a weekly ballot of the best fantasy players in college football, judged on points per game, weekly floor, role and stage, and defenses are eligible. Next is a ranking of the 10 best fantasy offenses in the country, and the offense pushing for No. 1 might surprise you. The Room Spotlight breaks down the Auburn wide receivers and the Georgia State running backs: who leads each room, how the work is split, and whether the season-long story matches what's happened lately. The Start/Sit Showdown goes position by position through this weekend's ranked matchups: Mississippi State at LSU, Ohio State at Indiana and Notre Dame at BYU. Plus the Injury Desk, covering UCLA losing QB Nico Iamaleava for the season and Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams' status, and previews of tonight's Delaware at Middle Tennessee and FIU at Jacksonville State games. Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe.
Week 6 CFF Recap: Rankings Graded, QB Chaos and 3 Backfield Takeovers to Add Now
2026/10/12
Missed Saturday? CFF All Day breaks down Week 6’s biggest fantasy performances: Jesse Legree’s 47-point day, Patrick Overmyer’s four-touchdown game and a North Texas offense that cashed in for anyone who listened. We grade every call from Friday’s rankings and last Monday’s waiver list, the hits and the misses. Then we cover the quarterback changes at Washington, Oregon and Syracuse, three running back takeovers still under 10 percent rostered, the receiver rooms owned by one player versus crowded ones, and the defenses giving up points every week. We finish with the Week 7 waiver Top 10.

Week 6 CFF Lab: Matchups to Attack, Roles to Believe & Wednesday Night Starts
2026/10/07
First, a look at Jacksonville State–Kennesaw State and New Mexico State–FIU for immediate lineup decisions, including Maguire Anderson, James Jones and several deeper options. Then it's back to some of Monday's biggest names to figure out what their usage actually means. Is Kwazi Gilmer becoming Nebraska's true WR1? Is Eric Olsen's TE breakout sustainable? What should fantasy managers make of Damari Alston, Kenny Darby, Jonaz Walton and Cyncir Bowers after digging into their full position rooms and game context? Finally, the debut of the CFF Matchup Lab: combining fantasy production allowed with underlying opportunity to identify the Week 6 matchups actually worth attacking. AJ Newberry, Caleb Komolafe, Tayven Jackson, the North Texas WR room and Darrin Fugitt headline the first study. Plus, why a great matchup isn't always enough to make someone a fantasy start.
Whose Job Can You Trust? | Week 6 CFF Usage & Opportunity Report
2026/10/06
Five weeks into the college fantasy football season, the names we drafted—and the players the market still values—don't necessarily own the same jobs anymore. On this episode of CFF All Day, we go underneath the fantasy points and audit the workloads that actually matter heading into Week 6. Re'Shaun Sanford is 5% rostered while his workload is moving past 93%-rostered Makhi Hughes. Eli Wood keeps commanding targets every single week. Junior Sherrill's role survived a quarterback change at Vanderbilt. DeAree Rogers disappeared from the Week 5 leaderboard because of a bye—but his underlying job hasn't gone anywhere. We also dig into emerging WR roles for Jabari Lewis and Alex Taylor, separate sustainable TE demand from touchdown-dependent production, examine growing backfields, and identify a rushing quarterback who deserves more attention. Who should you add? Who can you actually trust in your lineup? And where has the fantasy market fallen behind the current depth chart? Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe.
Week 5 CFF Recap: Week 6 Waiver Top 10, Usage Changes & Our Hits and Misses
2026/10/05
Week 5 is in the books, and CFF All Day has everything fantasy managers need heading into Week 6. We break down the biggest performances from Saturday, the backfields and receiving rooms that changed, and the players whose underlying opportunity matters more than their final fantasy score. Then it's time for receipts. We grade our Friday Smash plays, Role Wins and darts, revisit Wednesday's attempt to beat the waiver market, and own the hits and misses. Finally, we build the Week 6 Waiver Top 10, led by Kenny Darby, Eric Olsen, Damari Alston, Kwazi Gilmer and Eli Wood, while identifying deeper workloads and injury-created opportunities worth monitoring.
Week 5 CFF Rankings: Smash Starts, Role Wins & Deep League Sleepers | CFF All Day
2026/10/02
It's Week 5 of the college fantasy football season, and it's time to lock in those lineups! On this episode of CFF All Day, we're breaking down our Week 5 rankings at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and defense, using PFF usage data, opportunity trends, defensive matchups and Fantrax fantasy data to identify the players worth trusting. We're putting players into three categories: 🔥 SMASH PLAYS — High-confidence starts backed by strong opportunities, established roles and favorable matchups. 📈 ROLE WINS — Players whose underlying workloads, target volume, routes or backfield involvement create reliable paths to fantasy production. 🎯 MATCHUP DARTS — Higher-risk, potentially lower-rostered options with upside for managers navigating deeper leagues, injuries or difficult lineup decisions. We're examining emerging backfield workloads, consistent target earners, potential breakout receivers and defensive streaming options. Plus, we're taking a closer look at the tight end position. Only ONE tight end earned Smash Play status this week. We'll explain why, identify the alternatives and discuss where fantasy managers may need to accept some risk. Whether you're looking for a dependable starter or digging deep for a potential difference-maker, this episode is built to help you make smarter Week 5 lineup decisions. Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe.
The Week 5 Market Report: Risers, Buy-Lows & Breakouts | CFF Lab Day
2026/09/30
Waivers are over. Now the Week 5 CFF Lab opens. 🧪 Which market risers have real usage underneath the fantasy production? Which players are being dropped even though their roles remain intact? And where can fantasy managers still get ahead before the next breakout hits? This week’s Lab starts with the biggest movement in the Fantrax market and puts those risers and fallers through the usage test. Then we zoom out to four complete offenses worth attacking in Week 5 — Toledo, Memphis, Indiana and South Alabama — to find the quarterbacks, backfields and passing-game roles that actually matter. Plus: the Wednesday QB Shelf, a Week 5 reality check on one of the hottest waiver adds of the week, the latest injury situations, and several low-rostered players worth knowing before next Monday’s waiver run begins.
Who Do We Actually Believe? | Week 4 Usage, ADP Receipts & Backfield Takeovers
2026/09/29
Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe. Four weeks into the CFF season, it's time to stop caring about what players cost in August and start asking what their jobs actually look like now. On Tuesday's CFF All Day, we dig into the Week 4 usage and opportunity data to find the roles the fantasy market still hasn't fully priced in. We revisit preseason ADP, identify potential backfield takeovers, uncover low-rostered WRs already commanding legitimate volume, and break down why two players with nearly identical fantasy production can have completely different sustainability. Plus: Jeffrey Overton's growing Virginia Tech workload, the massive roster-vs-opportunity disconnect with Ethan Ervin, Chris Marshall vs. Makai Jackson, Joseph Williams' breakout and Colorado's QB change, four very different TE profiles, the San Diego State injury situation, and one important question for evaluating fantasy quarterbacks: How are they actually scoring their points? The box score tells you what happened. Tuesday tells you what might happen again.
DON’T CHASE THE POINTS: Week 4 Truths + Week 5 Waiver Wire
2026/09/28
Week 4 gave fantasy managers plenty of big scores — but not every breakout was created equal. On this Monday edition of CFF All Day, we go back through the weekend and separate the fantasy points from the roles underneath them. Jeffrey Overton Jr. exploded with 29 opportunities. Darius Taylor scored only 11.2 points but returned to 23 opportunities. Jahiem White dropped 42 while his workload actually declined. And several touchdown-fueled breakouts created some dangerous waiver-wire traps. We grade Friday’s calls, revisit last week’s waiver adds and build the early Week 5 waiver board. Jeffrey Overton Jr., Matt Fuller, Lee Beebe Jr. and Victor Rosa headline the running backs. Chris Marshall, Cayden Lee, DeAree Rogers, Eli Wood and Joseph Williams lead a deep receiver conversation. Plus: tight end targets, cheap quarterbacks, injury fallout and the players whose underlying roles are telling us to buy, hold or stay away. Fantasy points tell us who to investigate. Usage tells us who to believe. Week 4 is over. Now let’s figure out which jobs are worth buying for Week 5.
