I sit down Dan’l Anselmo who is an expert in Bow Design & DIY hunting. He is a lead R&D engineer for 21 yrs and has seen some of the best evolutions in archery gear. He’s been part of projects specializing in Limbs, Cams, Risers and materials. Dan’l is a 3rd generation DIY hunter who has a healthy resume of Big Elk & Massive Mule Deer. I’ve known Dan’l since his first year at Hoyt and have a tremendous amount of respect for his deep understanding of the mechanics of the compound bow. We jump into subjects that I feel aren’t discussed enough about the “why” of certain design characteristics and gear choices. We also jump into some of his tactics of hunting the west during the opening weeks. He has some great information that he shares about tagging big deer that’s handed down to him from the yoda Randy Ulmer.

Josh is a West Coast archer and has a long background in archery.  Ive wanted to have a conversation with him about the evolution of archery content and retail. We finally meet up to have a conversation about the archery industries evolution, early years in the shop, chasing Apple to Apple standards, getting old, staying on pace with social media, the new Nock On HQ and of course who had the Mohawk first.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Paige who’s continuing to dominate multiple styles of archery competitions. She won most majors across the globe and continues to juggle her passion for bowhunting and education while competing. We dive into so many topics relating to mentors, the mental game, fundamentals, elite level competition, some archery history and much more.

This podcast is with one of the leading ladies of the bowhunting community who has climbed the ladder in the industry. I’ve gained a lot of respect for Jessica just in the decade I’ve seen her in the industry. I think it’s important that more women and youth get into the outdoors but more importantly, stay there. Jess takes me down her timeline of her first hunts with her dad to being mentored by one of mine as well. This is a great podcast discussing personal pressure, growing up in bowhunting and unlocking new doors in the industry. Jessica is currently the Brand Relations Manager for Montana Knife Company.

This Podcast is with PJ Reilly from Lancaster Archery Supply. PJ is very a familiar face in the archery industry and such an addictive personality. He’s covered more pro events as a commentator than I can remember. We talked about our upcoming takeover event and then I got to know more about Lancaster County and the OG archery spots.

This podcast is a must listen for the archery community. I’m speaking with James Yates who is an Engineer, Backcountry Outdoorsman, Technical Writer, Husband/Father and Accomplished Hunter. James is fascinated with archery accuracy and forgiveness and finding non bias information that will help those who need it in the archery community. James just conducted a great arrow test in conjunction with Precision Cut Archery & Easton Archery collecting data of several aspects of arrow flight. In particular, to study how an arrow’s components (vanes, shaft diameter, shaft length, point tip type, etc.) affect ballistic properties such as aerodynamic drag and restorative lift (how an out-of-tune arrow corrects itself), and therefore, how an arrow build can be optimized for specific purposes, such as hunting different species (with different broadheads) and various target archery events. What I appreciated about this test is that Easton has revealed their bullet proof shooting machine for the first time publicly giving the consumers to archery a deeper look at what testing methods are usually happening behind the scenes. James and the team were at the Easton Foundation Center documenting evidence of different aspects of arrow flight, cause and affects, downrange ballistics, pairing vanes &  broadheads.  This podcast tees up the information that will later be released for all to see.

An inside look at the 2025 HOYT Bow Lineup with Brian Gold. Get ready to dive deep down an archery rabbit hole! I wanted to give you some knowledge on design that you won’t hear anywhere else. The difference is in the details and I talked one of my fellow archery nerds to tell you the “why” that you haven’t heard yet. Brian has a lifetime of archery under his belt. Gold started out worked in archery retail for 6 years in high school and through college as department manager why chasing an engineering degree. Through this he developed a passion for archery and the industry as a whole. Since graduating college in engineering he went straight to Hoyt and worked through the ranks from the bottom to the Engineering Manager. He’s a passionate hunter and target archer who has a very well rounded understanding of what we all demand in our gear. He and the Hoyt team have used a lot of new testing methods to building this 2025 lineup that has the Team really excited about accuracy.

A podcast with an industry mogul Nick Mundt from Bone Collector. I first met Nick when he was hired as Bill Jordan’s camera guy over 20 years ago. We were both in Montana for monster bucks 10. Nick was so damn funny and such a great hunter and guide. It was a pleasure knowing him before having a name for himself. Over the years he has carved his name into bowhunting history with all the great content as one of the triple threat Bone Collectors. I wanted to catch up with Nick following a TAC event and talk about old times and talk about broadheads with someone who knows how to stack them up!

This podcast is with Hoyt President Zak Kurtzhals. We talk past, present and future of our friendship, competition trail and time in the industry. We recorded this hours before the announcement that I was returning home to Hoyt for my next chapter in archery. Zak has an amazing story starting at Hoyt as an accessories engineer and working up the ladder as lead engineer and then President. I felt like this would be a good listen for the nock nation to understand where we came from and why returning to friends and alliances is so important.

In this Podcast I speak with Origin USA founder Pete Roberts who has led the charge in bringing Clothing Manufacturing back to the U.S. We announce that I will be joining their amazing team to help segway the product and personnel that have made huge strides in American denim, footwear, workwear and most recently, hunting wear. Pete gives some amazing insight on what it takes to tackle what most said was impossible to achieve. I have always loved this vision and movement that Pete has continued to plow new trails on. There’s story after story of how the Gen X American fort builders forged the fortitude to create a leading brand right here in the USA. 

Tyson is an awesome young face that’s done a great job of bringing better understanding of accuracy and manufacturing to consumers in recent years through Easton’s marketing. I sat down with Tyson at the Total Archery Challenge and we dive into his archery roots but then into the 100years of Eastons loyalty to the archery market. 

This podcast is with Matthew Hays. He is currently leading an awesome team of hunters at Leupold but has an awesome background. I just loved his story because he represents what happens when you stay on a path for a lifetime. He got his first deer at 6 yrs old and grew up in a house where he was taught to use a 30/30 with iron sights. Married his high school sweetheart, spent time in the Marines in Intelligence, competed in NRL and PRS matches, ran certain aspects at the historical Leupold range training. This is all while climbing up through a corporate company going from a service call tech to now leading some of the greatest hunters on their team. 

In this podcast I sit down with Hunter at the Total Archery Challenge and talk about the support and importance of everyday brands that aren’t directly in the hunting space brining support and exposure to archery and bowhunting.
