Room 101 had a guest once.Or maybe it was the room that was visiting him.People said he carried a kind of silence with him —thin, metallic, almost patterned —the kind of quiet you hear just before a transmission breaks through. He left no record, no imprint, no name.Only a faint distortion in the hallway lightand a smell like rain on old circuitry. Inside the room, nothing was out of place,yet nothing felt returned to where it belonged.The air tasted of a question no one could phrase.The mirror refused to hold a reflection for longer than a heartbeat. They say the door still shifts slightly when you walk past it,as if adjusting itself to your shape,as if remembering something it was never meant to.”**

“Tonight we descend a little deeper.Into the rooms we don’t often visit—the ones lit by memory, shadow, and quiet confession.Here, sound becomes a companion to the darker currents,a guide through the low-light corridors of the self.Nothing rushes. Nothing hides.We simply walk, slowly, through the echoes of who we’ve beenand who we might becomeas the world outside dissolves into a distant hum.”

Your ongoing support has been incredible, and I’m truly grateful for every stream, follow, and message. Many of you have asked for longer mixes—and today, I’m delivering just that. This is an extended journey into long-form ambient and experimental sound. At over an hour, it’s a deeply meditative mix designed to help you unwind, reflect, or simply drift. Layered with immersive textures, subtle field recordings, and evolving atmospheres, this episode invites you to lose yourself in the sound. Whether you're relaxing, studying, or finding a moment of calm in a busy day—this one's for you. Thank you again for listening and supporting the show. Enjoy the mix.

Something slightly different in this episode. A bit of a chill out mix WITH drums. I won't be making a habit of it, PROMISE. But had to do a bit of a mix with some of my favourite chill out tunes. Got to mix it up a little now and again, don't you ??

In this episode we have a returning guest feature. An album called "Decorative arts II" on the "Imaginary north" labelI. With its official release date April 18th, We honoured to share a few tracks from this up coming release.   Ben McCarthy, Canada based, has blessed us before on a previous mix of his music of which fitted perfectly to what AMBIENT ATOMIC ORBITALS is about. Ambient, sometimes experimental, and immersive music well worth getting lost in. Tracks featured - Gertrude stein codec loopSnowheadspno GibberQuantize the night skyOrange mesh bagInlet acid walkBurnt archive. "Rich in texture, the album weaves intricate, ASMR-like textures that are both interesting, familiar, and captivating, engaging the senses while keeping the creative energy in constant motion.  It's an invitation, not just to listen, but to explore, and to piece together meaning from the abstract and find beauty in the unexpected"https://imaginarynorth.bandcamp.com/yumhttps://imaginarynorth.bandcamp.com/https://www.instagram.com/paleeyesmusic/

A bit of a sleepy mix here. Or a concentration aid. Strings, Atmospheric, that kind of vibe. So much great music on Bandcamp at the moment. My hard drive is smiling, my bank balance, not so much. The title was supplied by my grandson who was explaining to me a story he was read at nursery."The water in the forrest was Tardis blue, and the trees were swaying from side to side, and then there was a peppermint sky" Thanks Noah, (-;

Well Someone's been on Bandcamp .......  :-)Some brand new ambient here, Seems to be a push of great music in this genre at the moment. Some old favourites here too. Enjoy.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to give you all an update. Back in December, I was made redundant from a job I had for 36 years, which naturally shifted my priorities for a while. As a result, I had to put the podcast / label on hold. I’m still looking for work and accepting that it’s going to be a slow journey, but I’ll get there. In the meantime, I’m hoping to make mixes more frequently again. Thank you all for your patience and for standing by me—I really appreciate the support!NOW,...... SPACE AMBIENT ANYONE ????

This evening, a bit of an experimental ambient theme, Ideal for the hardened listener, exiting for the new. (Hopefully)Hoping you like it. Featuring music snippets from artists like Frederic Talgorn, Gerard Meurant, Glynis Jones And Charles Dodge. Real trail blazers in experimental ambient. And a wild card at the end, A Sven Vath track remixed by Neutron 9000.It has a drum beat, but worth breaking my rule. Enjoy.

A mixture this evening of dark ambient and soundscape. To imitate a dream like state, A real journey this one. Thank you all for listening.

So, Its Sunday night, raining, and I found myself thinking about old and lost friends. Don't know why, but there you are.A mix for thinking about the delicate thing called life. Remembering all the people we have met along the way, and remembering the people that are no more. Years ago I used to go to the canal and stare into the water for hours to do just that.so join me for an hour or so. Let's gather at the water's edge. Just another FYI, Im now uploading on you tube too,  bassman-f.podomatic.comLike and subscribe, and all that, ;-). Thanks

Hello,          Its been a while.  I have been busy the past months with my other label, producing and tidying up links etc.If you were not aware, surprisingly, i also produce 90's Jungle ! of all genres, what a contrast of genres's huh ?So from ambient at little or no BPM to 180-190 BPM. I am a troubled guy. ;-)I also was conscious that i was recycling the same ambient tracks at times, and didnt feel comfortable with that, so at the same time, i've been putting together new material, so now i'm back it should be fresh and not so repetitive. This episode is more of a sound collage of ambient and soundscapes.Nothing too deep. But i will be going deeper in the near future. Thank you for all the support even in my absence, you all really are the best fan base.Now to the music .............
