Mark 10:1-12 (“Gospel Covenant”)
2026/10/25
Rev. S. Hunter Gray preaches from Mark 10:1-12. As Jesus travels toward Judea, the Pharisees test him with a question about divorce. Jesus looks past Moses’ allowance, given “because of your hardness of heart,” to God’s design at creation, when the two become one flesh: “What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Marriage points to the faithful covenant love of God, who keeps his promises to his people.
Mark 9:30-50 (“Gospel Greatness”)
2026/10/18
Rev. S. Hunter Gray preaches from Mark 9:30-50. As Jesus again foretells his death and resurrection, his disciples argue over which of them is the greatest. Jesus turns their idea of greatness upside down: “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” He welcomes the child, honors the smallest kindness done in his name, warns sternly against causing others to stumble and calls his followers to be at peace with one another.

Mark 9:9-13 ("Gospel Life")
2026/09/27
As Jesus and His inner circle (Peter, James, and John) descend the mountain after witnessing the Transfiguration, Jesus commands them to tell no one what they saw until the Son of Man rises from the dead. Confused by the mention of resurrection, the disciples ask why the scribes say Elijah must come first. Jesus confirms that Elijah indeed comes first to restore all things—referring to John the Baptist—and reminds them that just as Elijah suffered, the Son of Man is also destined to suffer and be rejected.

What Is Your Life About? (Acts 2:42)
2026/07/19

Mark 7:14-23 ("Gospel Cleansing")
2026/07/12
In this challenging text, Jesus addresses the crowd regarding true purity, showing that it is not external things that defile a person, but what comes out of a person's heart. The Gospel radically reorients our understanding of sin and grace.
