Week 2: Reading the Bible
2026/09/28
Join Angela, Pastor Mark, and Pastor Lawson in a discussion around why we should read and study the Bible and how this discipline should be engaged in both new and seasoned believers.
Walking Worthy: Mercy Forgives, Grace Transforms // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/09/27
What is the difference between mercy and grace? In this message from our Walking Worthy series, Pastor Dean teaches from John 8 and the story of the woman caught in adultery. Mercy spares us from what we deserve, while grace gives us what we could never earn. Jesus doesn’t call us to live trying to earn His grace. He calls us to live from the grace we have already received. Grace doesn’t leave us where we are. It transforms us and changes the direction of our lives.
Week 1: Introduction to Spiritual Disciplines
2026/09/21
Join Angela, Pastor Mark, and Pastor Lawson as we dig into what spiritual disciplines are and why they matter to us.
Walking Worthy: Your Footprints Tell the Story // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/09/20
What does it really look like to walk worthy of the calling God has placed on your life? In this message, Pastor Dean walks through the book of Ephesians and challenges us to look beyond simply thinking about eternal life and instead examine how we are living our lives right now. Our words may tell people what we believe, but our footprints reveal what we truly follow. As followers of Jesus, we are called to know who we are, remember where we came from, understand our purpose, walk differently, walk in love, walk in light, walk wisely, and stand firm when opposition comes. The question is simple: If someone followed the footprints of your life, where would they lead?
Coward or Conqueror // Pastor Dean Herman

Crown or Towel: Surrender // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/08/30
What does the algorithm of your life reveal about what you truly worship? In the final message of our Crown or Towel series, Pastor Dean challenges us to look beyond what we say we believe and examine how we actually spend our time, thoughts, attention, and money. Our behavior reveals what we value, and what we value reveals where our heart truly is. Just like an online algorithm learns what we want by watching our behavior, the patterns of our lives reveal what we continually pursue. The question is not simply what we say matters most, but what our lives prove matters most. Through Matthew 6, we are reminded that where our treasure is, our heart will follow. What we continually place before our eyes fills our lives, and what fills our lives ultimately reveals who our master is. So what does the algorithm of your life say about you? Have you truly taken off the crown, surrendered your life to Jesus, and picked up the towel to follow and serve Him?
Crown or Towel: Self-Control // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/08/23
What does it really look like to live with self-control? In this message from our Crown or Towel series, Pastor Dean challenges us to stop trying to control everything around us and instead surrender ourselves fully to Jesus. Biblical self-control is not simply willpower. It is the Holy Spirit giving us the strength to say no to ourselves so we can keep saying yes to Jesus. Through Proverbs 25 and Galatians 5, we see the difference between living by the flesh and living by the Spirit, and we are challenged to honestly examine the fruit our lives are producing. The question is not, “How can I control what happens around me?” The better question is, “How can I control how I respond to what happens?”
Crown or Towel: Why Not Me? // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/08/16
What does it really look like to love your neighbor? In this message from our Crown or Towel series, we look at Jesus’ teaching through the story of the Good Samaritan. The priest saw the need. The Levite saw the need. But the Samaritan allowed what he saw to move him to compassion and then to action. Following Jesus means more than noticing people who are hurting. It means taking off the crown, picking up the towel, and choosing to serve. Instead of saying, “Someone else will help,” what if we started asking, “Why not me?”
Crown or Towel: Discipleship // Pastor Paul Dennis
2026/08/09
Pastor Paul Dennis shares a challenging message on what it truly means to make disciples. Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28 isn’t simply an invitation to attend church, wear the shirt, or occasionally invite someone to a service. It’s a call to live every part of our lives on mission. Looking at the biblical concept of shmicha, the transferring of authority, leadership, and commissioning, Pastor Paul shows how Jesus didn’t just save His followers. He commissioned them to continue His mission. The question we all have to wrestle with is: If someone followed you around every day for a week, would the way you live lead them closer to Jesus or farther away from Jesus? Following Jesus isn’t about doing the bare minimum. It’s about allowing the cross to completely change our lives and accepting the mission Jesus has given us: to love, serve, forgive, give, and ultimately make disciples the way He did.
Crown or Towel: Count The Cost // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/08/02
What does it truly cost to follow Jesus? In this message from our Crown or Towel series, Pastor Dean challenges us to examine whether our lives look more like Judas, who held tightly to the crown, or Jesus, who picked up the towel and served others. Following Jesus means more than simply adding Him to our lives. It means surrendering control, carrying our cross, serving others, and choosing His will over our own. Have you counted the cost, and are you willing to follow Jesus no matter what?
Crown or Towel: Follow Me // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/07/26
Are you working for God’s love, or are you living from the love you have already received? In the first week of Crown or Towels, Pastor Dean uses the story of Jacob, Leah, and Rachel to explain the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant. The old covenant says, “I work, then I receive.” The new covenant says, “I receive, then I work from what I’ve received.” Jesus did not simply call us to believe in Him. He called us to follow Him, imitate Him, submit to His authority, and become more like Him. We do not serve, forgive, give, worship, or obey to earn God’s favor. We do those things because His love and grace have already been freely given to us. It is time to take the crown off our own heads, place it back on King Jesus, pick up the towel, and follow our Rabbi.
Hope & Joy: Where Is Your Hope? // Pastor Mark Pangel
2026/07/19
Where is your hope tied? In this message, Pastor Mark Pangel reminds us that true hope and lasting joy cannot be found in success, relationships, possessions, or achievements. They are only found by abiding in Jesus. When shame tells us to hide, Jesus invites us to lay it down, cut the cord to the wrong things, and fix our full attention on Him. No matter what you have done or what you are walking through, your story is not over. Hope has a name, and His name is Jesus.
One Nation Under God: When Comfort Replaces Conviction // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/07/12
History repeats itself when people ignore God, but history can change when people repent. In the final message of One Nation Under God, Pastor Dean looks at the rise and fall of Israel and Judah and the warning their story gives us today. A nation can experience God’s blessing, claim to trust Him, and still drift into idolatry, compromise, pride, and false religion. Real change does not begin with pointing fingers at the world. It begins when God’s people look in the mirror, humble themselves, turn from sin, and choose obedience over comfort. The question is not whether America is becoming like Israel. The question is whether we will learn from Israel before history repeats itself.
One Nation Under God: When a Nation Turns from God // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/07/05
What happens when a nation turns away from God? In week two of One Nation Under God, Pastor Dean walks through Jeremiah 2 and shows how God warned Judah after they rejected Him, chased after idols, and still believed they were “good” because they had the temple. But this message does not stop with Judah. It challenges America, the church, and each of us personally. When we reject God’s authority, excuse sin, and run to other things for satisfaction, we are digging broken cisterns that can never hold water. The call is simple but serious: repent, return to God, and let conviction matter more than comfort. If this message speaks to you, take time this week to read Jeremiah 2 and ask God where your heart needs to change.
One Nation Under God: History Repeats Itself // Pastor Dean Herman
2026/06/28
In week one of One Nation Under God, Pastor Dean looks at how history repeats itself and why it matters for both God’s people and our nation today. Through Judges 2, 2 Chronicles 7:14, and a walk through biblical and American history, we are reminded that when a generation forgets God, the results are devastating. This message is a call for God’s people to humble themselves, pray, repent, and seek spiritual awakening once again.
