CFFP #58 - Using Your Personal Story to Build a Firm Specialization ft. Anjali Jariwala, CPA, CFP
2022/06/22
Welcome to another episode of the Conversations for Financial Professionals podcast where we are shaping the next generation of financial advice. Today we have Anjali Jariwala, CPA and CFP®, who is the founder of FIT Advisors - a financial planning firm serving physicians and business owners virtually across the US.  Prior to launching her own firm, Anjali spent over 6 years years working with Fortune 500 clients at a top 4 accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and 2 years with a large, prestigious financial planning firm serving high net worth individuals.  During her career, she would often share financial advice with family and friends, but began to realize that not only did most of them lack access to the best personal finance information, but also their busy family lives meant they just didn’t have the time to pull it all together on their own. So, she decided she could make a bigger impact by starting her own firm.  Anjali utilizes her expertise in tax and finance to empower her clients to discover and reach their life goals while building a stable financial future. Anjali hosts Money Checkup podcast - a semi-monthly checkup that discusses the many facets of financial well-being.  She was named one of Investment News Top 40 under 40 for 2019, Financial Advisor magazine’s Young Advisors To Watch for 2020 and Investopedia’s 100 Top Financial Advisors.  Anjali has been featured in CNBC, Bloomberg, US News and World Report, New York Times, USA Today, Business Insider, Investment News and more. Anjali serves on the Board of Save a Mother - a nonprofit dedicated to developing sustainable healthcare solutions for the poor in India.   In our discussion we talked about:   🎙️Facing Obstacles as a Career Changer 🎙️Building Your Own Firm 🎙️Making the Leap to #Finserv   Resources: Are you a current or aspiring financial professional?  Click here to join the Jumpstart community! CFFP #55 - Developing the Nex-Gen Financial Professional ft. Kristin Burke
2022/06/01
Welcome to another episode of the Conversations for Financial Professionals podcast where we are shaping the next generation of financial advice. Today we have Kristin Burke.   Kristin Burke’s mission is to help others maximize their potential and achieve their definitions of success. As a goal achievement coach, Kristin collaborates with clients to maximize their potential and achieve their definitions of success. She launched her coaching practice with over a decade of experience coaching and developing hundreds within a FORTUNE 200 firm. She has spoken at numerous annual meetings, regional meetings, leadership clinics and women's summits. Most recently, Kristin coached the team of financial advisors that lead the company in production nationwide. She recruited over 200 college financial representatives into Northwestern Mutual's nationally recognized internship program and elevated the Los Angeles office's internship program from #76 to #5 in the company.   She is passionate about empowering women to elevate their careers. Kristin's curiosity for work-life integration blossomed in graduate school. There, she authored her thesis on the topic of work-life balance, specifically as it related to women. After concluding that the very word "balance" communicated an unrealistic reality, she started her quest to help others understand how to thrive personally and professionally. She specializes in helping clients gain goal clarity, establishing plans to achieve goals and tracking progress.   Outside of coaching, Kristin enjoys running (and has completed 8 marathons), practicing yoga and reading. She believes in progress over perfection and living life by design rather than default.   In our discussion we talked about:   🎙️How to Start with a Vision 🎙️Plan Killers vs. Plan Builders 🎙️Success for the Nex Gen Financial Professional Resources: Check out Kristin's podcast Honor Your Ambition Are you a current or aspiring financial professional?  Click here to join the Jumpstart community!
