TV Guide 01/12/05 A strange unearthed discovery rattles Boone, whose dark past is revealed in a shocking backstory that recalls his life with Shannon and presages the return of the beast. Another revelation concerns soft-spoken Sun, who becomes a confidante of Kate. Shannon and Allen try to get Paul interested in the Hatch and later he introduces his very own "Animal Brain Bracket" and spends a good amount of time explaining it.

TV Guide 01/05/05 Mysteries surround Kate, embattled with Sawyer over an impenetrable, salvaged briefcase, which apparently contains something (or things) known only to her. A backstory centers on Kate's troubled past, and her ties to criminals and violence. Paul introduces the concept of the Animal Brain to the podcast in an episode that no one seemed to like.

TV Guide 12/08/04 While in search of the missing Charlie and Claire, Jack must deal with the jarring memories of his relationship with his alcoholic father, who, like Claire, he sought to save. TV Guide 12/1/04 Claire's nightmares trigger flashbacks to her split from the father of her unborn child and meetings with a scary psychic, warning of the baby's dire fate. While Paul has not decided to 'Pull the Plug' on season 1 of the podcast, he HAS decided that Claire is having the Anti-Christ and boy o' boy do we get into it.

TV Guide 11/17/04 The survivors are not alone. Sayid is taken captive by a long-time strandee: an armed and cryptic French woman (Mira Furlan), who's alternately violent and sympathetic. The ordeal triggers painful memories for Sayid, who recalls his past as an interrogator. Shannon and Allen try and salvage the podcast as Paul is sickened at the thought of the survivors playing golf.

TV Guide 11/10/04 Profiling enigmatic Sawyer in telling flashbacks to his criminal past and troubled youth; and in violent confrontations with Jack and Sayid, who are convinced that Sawyer's a spiteful sleaze who's withholding medication from Shannon (Boone's Girlfriend.) The guys welcome their friend Stefan Bahruth to the show to talk about Paul's favorite character "Wild Man" and an episode that he dubs his "favorite episode since the pilot!"

TV Guide 11/03/04 A cave-in traps Jack, whose life hinges on a rescue mission led by Charlie, shaky from drug withdrawal and haunted by memories of his similarly addicted brother (Neil Hopkins). Another plot concerns a radio SOS by Sayid that's strangely thwarted. Shannon, Paul and Allen are hitting their stride with this show with a consistent stream of new mysteries every week and meet enough Bloody Rock Gods to fill an island.

TV Guide 10/27/04 Relocation sparks dissension among the ranks. One group, spearheaded by Jack, seeks a water-plentiful, inland retreat; another group, led by Kate, opts for rescue on the beach. Also, a culture clash turns violent for Michael and Jin; a separate peace bonds Charlie and Locke. The guys welcome their first guest Eric Z, and try to impress him with the amount of podcast segments they have.

TV Guide 10/20/2004 Leadership fears plague Jack, who's also tested by recollections of a troubled youth and exacting parents (Veronica Hamel, John Terry) that he flashes back to during a surrealistic jungle trek. Paul starts keeping a list of unsolved mysteries that he dubs "Paul's Predicaments."

TV Guide 10/13/04 A hunt for boar to feed the starving survivors also brings a revelation about the loner named Locke (Terry O'Quinn), who confronts a terrifying behemoth roaming the jungle. Elsewhere, the fuselage is turned into a funeral pyre that falls prey to scavengers. Paul gets fired up about Lost after watching what Allen and Shannon consider one of their favorite episodes.

TV Guide 10/06/04 Flashbacks recall Kate's troubled past as a fugitive, a secret uncovered by Jack while caring for a critically injured U.S. marshal who had Kate in custody. Paul has just about had enough of the show Lost, Shannon and Allen try to keep him hanging on.

TV Guide 09/29/04 Suspense mounts in the pilot's conclusion, which charts an adventurous foray into the isle's heights; and the lifesaving efforts of a beleaguered MD (Matthew Fox). Paul introduces us to his Process and his Perspective and gains the ability to play clips from Lost.
