SPND20 by Denham Audio
2026/09/15
New SPND20 Mixtape in: welcome @denhamaudio! 📼
London-based Denham Audio steps in with a mix that dives deep into the evolving space between UK Bass, UK Techno and Techno. Rooted in the legacy of UK hardcore but pushed firmly into the present, his sound comes loaded with sub bass, industrial breakbeats and a restless energy that keeps the rave spirit moving forward.
This mix showcases the newer sound Denham has been developing over the last couple of months, bringing together forthcoming productions, club staples, unreleased material from his peers and cuts from his very own Club Glow label.
Build to steadily progress and rise in tension across one hour, the mix moves through pressure, anticipation and moments of release - reflecting the same approach that shapes his DJ sets & productions. Expect heavy low end, industrial textures, broken rhythms and a constantly shifting dialogue between bass music and techno.
This is a high-energy journey through the sounds shaping Denham Audio right now. Turn it up, lock in and enjoy the ride. 🖤

Deas - I Won't Cry

Deas joins the CROWD family with ‘Silent Tension’, a refined EP that channels the Polish producer’s signature blend of hypnotic groove and hardware driven production. Known for his precise studio craftsmanship and deeply intuitive approach to groovy techno, Deas has steadily built a reputation as one of the standout figures of the contemporary Polish scene. Through years of releases and international touring, he has developed a sound that feels both timeless and unmistakably personal, as proven on the label's 12th record.
Opening track ‘I Won’t Cry’ immediately sets the tone with classy vocal sampling from Loleatta Holloway, warm chord progressions and rolling swung percussion anchored by Deas’ characteristically rich bass. Following up, ‘Waterfall’ introduces bleepy modular sequences and chopped vocal fragments, with a sweeping drone synth cutting through the mix above the track’s rolling bass. On the flip side, ‘Silent Tension’ continues deeper into minimal territory, combining crisp clap fills, subtle vocal chops and delayed chord repetitions into a slow burning groove. The vinyl's closing cut ‘Where Do They Go’ brings dense low end weight and fast dubby chord stabs, accompanied by sharply placed vocal cuts, creating a track that balances restraint and impact. The digital addition ‘Here Again’ is a classic Deas production, characterised by repetitive synth stabs that gradually transform the cut into a hypnotic hook, while stripped back percussion and a powerful kick give the track a commanding presence.
Throughout CROWD012, Deas remains firmly focused on groove and subtlety, while retaining a strong impact. The tracks unfold patiently, with a focus on tension, repetition and gradual escalation, maintaining the hypnotic functionality that has become both Deas’ trademark and a defining characteristic of the sound of the label founded by FJAAK and Ellie Acula. The 'Silent Tension' EP stands as a sophisticated and deeply effective club record that further cements Deas as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary techno.

SPND20 Mixtape by Dajusch
2026/08/18
Welcome @dajusch back to the SPANDAU20 mixtape series with his latest selection 📼
Part of the SPANDAU20 family, Dajusch is a multifaceted artist who brings his classical training and experience as a mixing engineer into both his DJ sets and productions. Based in Berlin, his sound draws from the pioneering roots of Detroit and Chicago, blending those foundations with a modern approach to techno. 🔊
For this one, Dajusch takes us on a slow-burning journey that lures you in and keeps you locked until the very end. Moving through staple pieces, evergreens, modern techno and a few future classics yet to be released, the mix builds steadily without ever losing its flow.
Smooth and carefully put together from start to finish - don’t miss out on it. 🖤
SPND20 Mixtape by NEUX
2026/08/04
Our latest Mixtape comes from @neuxx 📼
Georgian-born and now based in Berlin, NEUX has developed a sound that bridges the spirit of both cities. As a resident of Tbilisi's iconic KHIDI club, she has become known for sets that balance hypnotic groove with emotional depth, building tension through patience rather than urgency. Powerful rhythms, subtle shifts and an instinct for storytelling define her approach behind the decks.
Her SPANDAU20 mixtape is a perfect reflection of that philosophy. Rather than building momentum through tempo, she lets texture, rhythm and atmosphere do the work. Drum-led selections gradually unfold into deeper, more hypnotic territory before opening into grooves that quietly take over, making your body move before you even realize it. Carefully paced from start to finish, it's the kind of journey where an hour disappears in the blink of an eye.
Lock in and enjoy. 🖤
SPND20 Mixtape by Jessie Granqvist
2026/07/21
Welcome to our Mixtape series @jessiegranqvist! 📼
A long-standing figure in Stockholm's underground, Jessie Granqvist has spent years shaping a sound defined by patience, precision and hypnotic energy. As a resident at Under Bron and Northern Electronics, she moves effortlessly between techno and house, weaving together rolling percussion, ghostly atmospheres and deep low-end into sets that build steadily, where subtle shifts carry as much weight as peak-time moments.🔊
Recorded at home on a sunny day in Stockholm while still in afters mode, her SPANDAU20 mixtape reflects that vibe. Blending old favourites with recent discoveries, the selection unfolds as a fluid journey through hypnotic grooves and meditative rhythms, capturing the space between introspection and movement.
Dive in and let yourself be carried by the beat 🖤

CROWD proudly announces the launch of its digital VA series CROWDX. Inaugurated by the first chapter 'Shared Pulse', this release brings together a cross-section of artists that embody the label's vision. Curated by FJAAK and Elli Acula, the Berlin-based imprint has carved out a space where old school and modern techno meet, united by a groovy, driving and uncompromising sound.
Opening the release, Colombia's RUIZ OSC1 sets the tone with a hypnotic, polyrhythmic roller, before Elli Acula follows with a low-end driven cut, weaving her trippy spoken word vocals through hypnotic grooves, balancing emotional depth with relentless drive. Greek producer ANNĒ builds tension through kick and tom grooves beneath a droning synth break, and FJAAK's 'Scanline' showcases the duo's unmistakable approach, combining swinging percussion, driving chord stabs and endlessly echoing synth work. Techno legends Slam then strip things back, proving once again that a handful of perfectly chosen elements can deliver maximum impact. Sol Ortega brings an urgent, tom-led groove with racing chords, before Colin Benders delivers what might be the most visceral moment on the record: a barrage of distorted analog synths and crashing percussion that channels the intensity of his live performances. J Choirboy shifts the mood with a deeper, dub-infused excursion built around expansive dub chords and rich low-end weight, DEAS raises the tension again with eerie atmospheres, rolling basslines and fast-moving synth sequences, and Ferdinger closes the release with classic techno chords looping over a rolling shaker groove pushing the record to the finish line.
CROWDX001 captures the full spectrum of contemporary techno across ten tracks that showcase techno's many shades without losing sight of its roots, perfectly summing up the vision of the Berlin-based label and sharing a common pulse.
