What If Your Body Has Its Own Signal for Healing?
2026/09/15
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. What if chronic pain isn't something you simply have to learn to live with? In this episode of Healing & Becoming, Coach Tamika sits down with Mike Hammond, founder of Signal Relief, for a fascinating conversation about chronic pain, healing, technology, and the body's own electrical system. Mike's journey into pain relief didn't begin in a doctor's office. His background in satellite and military technology led him to discover something that would completely change the direction of his work: the human body operates through electrical microcurrents, and that discovery eventually became the foundation for Signal Relief. Mike explains how Signal Relief's reusable, non-invasive patch is designed to interact with the body's electrical signals and help reduce the impact of discomfort without medication or anything entering the body. But this conversation isn't just about a product. It's about what happens when we become curious about our bodies instead of simply accepting pain as our normal. This episode will definitely have you thinking differently about pain, the body, and the possibilities that exist beyond simply managing symptoms. In This Episode, You'll Hear: • How Mike's background in military and satellite technology eventually led him into the wellness space • The surprising discovery that the human body operates through electrical microcurrents • How Signal Relief is designed to interact with the body's electrical signals • Why Mike describes the technology through the analogy of an antenna and the body's electrical environment • Stories of people who experienced significant changes in their relationship with chronic discomfort You can turn trials into treasures. That's the heart of Healing & Becoming. Meet Mike Hammond Mike Hammond is the Founder of Signal Relief, a company focused on developing drug-free wellness products designed to help people experience relief from everyday discomfort. Signal Relief's current technology is based on micro-antenna technology designed to interact with the body's electrical signals. The Minister I Married Almost Destroyed Me: How I Escaped Abuse, Survived a Stroke & Found Myself Again
2026/09/02
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. What happens when the person you married to build a life with becomes the person you have to survive? In this deeply personal and powerful episode of Healing & Becoming, Coach Tamika shares her story of surviving an abusive and controlling marriage to a minister, experiencing a massive stroke, and ultimately finding the courage to reclaim her life. This is not just a story about leaving an abusive relationship. This is a story about what happens when you slowly lose yourself while trying to save a marriage. Coach Tamika vulnerably shares the relationship red flags she ignored, the controlling behavior that became normalized, emotional abuse, financial abuse, extreme jealousy, isolation, spiritual manipulation, and the psychological warfare that caused her to question herself and her own reality. She shares how her appearance, clothing, choices, and freedom became increasingly controlled and how attempts to seek spiritual guidance resulted in messages about being more submissive instead of receiving the support and protection she needed. Then came the moment that changed everything. A massive stroke left Tamika temporarily unable to move and speak. During one of the most vulnerable seasons of her life, she was forced to confront a painful truth: surviving was no longer enough. Her healing journey became the beginning of her awakening. In this episode, Coach Tamika shares how she moved from fear and survival mode into freedom, healing, self-worth, and purpose. She opens up about the moment she finally fought for herself and her children, left the relationship, and began rebuilding her life. Today, she uses the very experiences that once tried to break her to help other women heal from trauma, renew their minds, break unhealthy cycles, regulate their nervous systems, rebuild their confidence, and become who they were created to be. If you are healing from an abusive relationship, toxic marriage, emotional abuse, spiritual abuse, domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, trauma bonding, people pleasing, low self-worth, or the long-term effects of living in survival mode, this conversation is for you. This episode is also for the woman who may not have visible bruises but knows she has slowly disappeared inside her relationship. You are not weak because you stayed. You are not broken because you survived. And your story does not have to end where the pain began. Because healing is not just about leaving the relationship. Healing is learning how to find yourself again. Subscribe to Healing & Becoming for honest conversations about faith, trauma healing, nervous system regulation, emotional wellness, relationships, mindset, personal growth, purpose, and becoming the woman God created you to be. Your story is not over. Your healing is possible. And you were never meant to spend the rest of your life surviving.
Episode 273 Healing for Impact
2026/08/25
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Healing for Impact: Why Your Healing Is Bigger Than You | Coach Tam What if your healing isn’t just about feeling better? What if there are people, relationships, opportunities, and assignments connected to the version of you that is willing to heal? In this special episode of Healing & Becoming, Coach Tamika shares a powerful conversation from The Sanctuary featuring guest expert Coach Tam. Together, we unpack Healing for Impact and why doing the deeper work matters not only for you, but for everyone connected to you. One of the truths we explore in this conversation is simple but confronting: Unhealed pain doesn’t stay contained. It can show up in the way we lead, love, parent, communicate, build businesses, respond to conflict, set boundaries, and even in the way we see ourselves. Healing gives us an opportunity to interrupt those patterns. In This Episode Coach Tam shares why healing is essential when we desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. You'll hear about how healing affects: How we show up — Unhealed wounds can influence our reactions, decisions, boundaries, and ability to receive what is healthy. How we impact others — What we refuse to address internally can unintentionally become something the people around us have to experience externally. How we steward our influence — Greater impact requires greater internal capacity. Healing helps us carry more without allowing old wounds to lead us.Want More Conversations Like This? Join The Sanctuary. Waking up to Yourself
2026/08/17
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Tamika and Patrick unpack why so many women unknowingly connect their worth to what they produce. Patrick helps unpack the psychological meaning behind the dream, including how comparison can cause us to shrink and how our internal standards can become more powerful than the truth we claim to believe about ourselves. The conversation raises a challenging question: Self-Love Is a Direction Tamika and Patrick also explore self-love, particularly for people who have experienced painful or traumatic circumstances. Patrick offers a practical shift: Instead of thinking about self-love as a feeling you must somehow achieve, begin thinking about it as self-valuing. You may not wake up every morning feeling completely healed, confident, or loving toward yourself. But you can ask: “What would valuing myself look like today?” Self-love isn't necessarily a destination you finally arrive at. It's a direction you continually choose. You'll Hear About Why busyness can become an emotional avoidance strategyThe hidden relationship between productivity and worthinessHow childhood experiences shape our internal definition of “enough”Why perfectionism creates standards that may not actually existHow unmet needs can eventually turn into resentmentWhy blaming others keeps us disconnected from identifying what we truly needThe difference between destructive comparison and constructive comparisonHow comparison can reveal desire without determining worthWhat Tamika's childhood dream revealed about perfectionism and shrinkingThe intersection of psychology, spirituality, faith, and neuroscienceWhy creating new patterns can create new neural pathwaysHow living in alignment with truth can produce greater clarity and peaceA healthier definition of self-love for people navigating healingWhy self-valuing may be a more practical starting point than trying to “love yourself” Patrick Marando is a psychologist, spiritual teacher, energy healer, and author of Waking Up to Your Self: A Guide to Living Your Truth. Episode 264 - Set Apart for God’s Glory: Missions, Identity & the Power of National Evangelism with Bishop Daniel
2025/12/23
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. In this powerful and deeply moving episode of **Healing & Becoming**, Tamika Thomas sits down with **Bishop Daniel**, a Missionary Kid (MK), Pastor’s Kid (PK), global leader, and the son of the founder of **GFA World** — one of the most influential missions organizations in modern history. Together, they dive into the real, raw, and often unseen world of global missions, the call to be *set apart*, and how God is moving in nations many of us will never see…but are still called to reach.  Tamika’s Personal Journey: Feeling “Set Apart” Even in Her Struggle** Tamika opens the episode with a transparent reflection on her own story — knowing she was marked by God even when she was running from Him. She relates deeply to the unique pressure of being a PK and introduces Bishop Daniel, who brings a similar lived experience as both PK and MK. Their shared foundation creates a rich, honest conversation about identity, calling, and the tug of destiny that follows God’s children everywhere. * Understanding the 10/40 Window & Why It Still Matters** Bishop Daniel breaks down: * What the **10/40 Window** actually is * Why it represents the **most unreached people groups in the world** * The three categories of mission fields * Why millions still have *zero access* to a Bible, a pastor, or a church Tamika expresses shock and compassion as she compares America’s “abundance of access” with the reality of believers in remote, impoverished nations. * The Realities of Missionary Work (Not the Instagram Version)** Bishop Daniel shares sobering stories from the mission field: * Christians enduring imprisonment, beatings, and persecution * Believers worshiping in extreme poverty * Closed nations where following Christ costs everything * The heroic work of national missionaries who risk their lives daily He also outlines GFA World’s four impact pillars: 1. Equipping national missionaries 2. Caring for children 3. Transforming entire communities 4. Disaster and crisis relief Tamika reminds listeners that even “the cost of a coffee” can directly touch a life in an unreached nation.  Why National Missionaries Are the Key to Global Revival** The conversation dives into the power of sending **nationals to reach nationals** — workers who already understand the language, customs, culture, and barriers.
