BoomBossing It! Episode 21 - Our first episode since the last Lockdown has an exciting backdrop. I catch up with Linda Brumfitt, who led our BoomBoss trek across the Sahara with Nomads, a few months before lockdown. Linda shares openly and frankly about how her business suffered during Covid, but most importantly talks us through how she became an over 50s female entrepreneur after a corporate background.  She reveals how the idea for her business came to her, her trials and tribulations and the challenges of being a woman setting up a business in Morocco, as well as the success she then had as the business continued to grow.  Linda and I and several intrepid women had the most amazing time on an adventure we would never have dreamt of if Linda had not become a BoomBoss! We climbed sand dunes in the heat, walked for days chatting with the nomads, rode camels, ate round the campfire, sang songs from our Guides and Girls Brigade younger days, and listened to the tales of the Nomads, under the most beautiful dark velvety sky. We over 50s women were adventurers in our younger days, we broke so many molds, and grew up in exciting and challenging times. Linda epitomises the woman over 50 who had a career, then went left of field, ditched the day job, embraced her entrepreneurial spirit and became her boss, through thick and thin, success and challenge.   I hope you love listening to the story.

BoomBossing It! Episode 17 -  I chat to  silver-haired curve model, body confidence activist, and influencer Rachel Peru. BoomBossing It! Episode 16 - With Property Entrepreneur Rachael Troughton Welcome to 2021! So here we are, with a mix of hope, tenacity, determination, commitment and still a healthy dose of optimism with which to navigate through the coming months. We've all had to bring our inner resources to the fore.  Even during 2020 many of the women over 50 who I support continued to start or grow their own businesses, which was amazing to see.  Some even had their best year ever which I was really chuffed about. And now, here we are, once again, having our entrepreneurial spirit tested.  We are continuing to prove that we are made of strong stuff, we're continuing to prove we can handle these challenges and even better than that, find inspiration and opportunities within the many limitations imposed on us. I'm delighted to share my interview with Rachael Troughton with you.  Rachael has led an interesting life as an Army Officer's wife turned entrepreneur.  In this podcast she reveals. her journey, her optimism,  her thoughts and enthusiasm, with some unique pearls of wisdom too.
