Beautiful makeup is not satisfying if you don't capture it successfully. Ryan Ong (@rynong) is an events and sports photographer, who is also a Sony Philippines Brand Ambassador. Event photography is so interesting for me, because you rarely have the chance to set up lighting, background, props, or even posing models the way you want them to. Today, Ryan teaches us some valuable tips in chasing the light (chase good light, not harsh light;) composing the subject, foreground, and background; anticipating the moment to be able to shoot in the moment; and finding your angles. Since he only works with ambient and available light, he has some AMAZING tips about making unflattering lighting work. We even talked about making ring lights work, which, in my experience as a beauty content creator, has been giving me that overly harsh look!
