The Wildcats now sit at 5-2 on the season following their season-opening defeat at the hands of Nevada High School. Logan-Rogersville will return home next week against the Marshfield Blue Jays for their final home game of the regular season. The Wildcats will be in search of their sixth win in seven weeks and with just three weeks remaining in the regular season, are in a prime position to make a postseason run. PGR contributor Peyton Williams caught up with Logan-Rogersville’s head coach Mark Talbert to discuss yesterday’s trip to Kansas and battle against the Trojans of Girard High School. The Wildcats played pretty well defensive despite giving up 21 points. They allowed nearly 100 yards but gave up touchdowns on a kick return and punt return. Nonetheless, the Wildcats secured the victory and now sit at 4-2 on the season. Logan-Rogersville will stay on the road next week as they travel to Hollister High School to battle the Tigers. PGR contributor Peyton Williams caught up with Logan-Rogersville's head coach Mark Talbert to get his thoughts following the Wildcats' incredible fourth quarter rally to knock of the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers by a final score of 29-23. The Panthers scored 22 points in the final eight minutes of play to secure the victory and improve to 3-2 on the season.  Logan-Rogersville scored the game-winning touchdown on a four-yard run by Bergman with less than 20 seconds to play. A failed two-point conversion meant the Panthers would only go on to win by six, 29-23.  The Panthers now sit at 3-2 as they return home next week.
